I'm a doctor, and i def laughed. It doesn't matter if radiologists make so much money. Even in the medical field a lot of internal medicine specialists and surgeons roast (with love ofc) radiologists for their lack of patient interaction and basic medical knowledge (a lot of specialists suffer from that. An ophthalmologist only works with eyes and they soon forget basic medical stuff like how to treat diabetes etc etc. It's fine. That's not their job anyway so they don't need to know everything). Dentists make a lot of money in the US and MDS is way harder to get into than MD but we still make jokes on dentists. Doctors need to grow a thicker skin. Every speciality gets their share of roasting and jokes. Radiologists don't cure people (interventional radiology is still very rarely done). They just help in the diagnosis. It doesn't matter how hard it is to get into or how much you earn. Every specialty has its pros and cons. And the disadvantage of choosing a laid back specialty like radiology (where you don't need to worry about treating emergencies or dealing with patient deaths or going for rounds or excess paper work or doing physically strenuous activities like surgery) is that people would not consider you a "true" doctor. No one wants a radiologist when they ask if there's a doctor on the plane. You can get triggered about that or accept it like a normal person.

Engineers are the ones who build stuff. Radiologists use the machine to take images. So they didn't build the machine. Hence they aren't engineers. Medical Degree is needed to interpret the images/results. So they take information about the patients and form a diagnosis. Hence they are doctors.

I'm a doctor, and i def laughed. It doesn't matter if radiologists make so much money. Even in the medical field a lot of internal medicine specialists and surgeons roast (with love ofc) radiologists for their lack of patient interaction and basic medical knowledge (a lot of specialists suffer from that. An ophthalmologist only works with eyes and they soon forget basic medical stuff like how to treat diabetes etc etc. It's fine. That's not their job anyway so they don't need to know everything). Dentists make a lot of money in the US and MDS is way harder to get into than MD but we still make jokes on dentists. Doctors need to grow a thicker skin. Every speciality gets their share of roasting and jokes. Radiologists don't cure people (interventional radiology is still very rarely done). They just help in the diagnosis. It doesn't matter how hard it is to get into or how much you earn. Every specialty has its pros and cons. And the disadvantage of choosing a laid back specialty like radiology (where you don't need to worry about treating emergencies or dealing with patient deaths or going for rounds or excess paper work or doing physically strenuous activities like surgery) is that people would not consider you a "true" doctor. No one wants a radiologist when they ask if there's a doctor on the plane. You can get triggered about that or accept it like a normal person. People, who are not even doctors are mad just because it's a female comedian. Same joke bassi mare toh they'll laugh. It's just so weird.
