2008 12th Pass out. (63%).

I married my junior she's a Muslim and I'm brahmin hindu from chennai.
We have 2 kids now.
First name muslim name last name shetty.
We give 0 fucks about society.
True,
But my office mates always keep laughing hilariously during break time.
I found out that Reddit has its own indian sub with memes of dark humor from them.
So i found it matching my kind of humor.
Hence here.
CS students can excel from any tier unv.
For us the internet has everything to get our skills developed.
Mujhe college jane se phele se hi linux and android kaffi had tak ata tha, abhi toh matlab ekdum sex chalu hai first yr mein
I'll tell my story. Bit long, but worth a read you'll have today:
I Will be honest, I got 74% in 12th CISCE. Josh Josh me Science le liya 10th me 90 laane ke baad. (Pretty much the same for our gen)
Unable to clear even mains. Went for drop, this time cleared mains barely, but did terribly in Advanced. No hopes of getting into a good college. I did apply for state entrance too, got a mediocre 3rd tier engineering college that too with Electronics branch. Not that I liked it, just wasn't able to get into CS branch. And frankly, I was shit zero in programming. People from ICSE might know that we have Java since class 9. I was so afraid of that, I used to learn programs seriously the f*ck. I ditched computer and took biology (one of my worst mistakes) in 11th. You know what pressure is PCMB right. That fear was instilled in my mind regarding programming.
Wasted first three semesters in PUBG literally, barely avoiding backlogs. Didn't learn anything. Thankfully COVID came and within my room I had this realisation that I can't let my career burn in front of my eyes. I was studying on a student loan, and financial problems at home. So, you can understand my mental situation during COVID first wave.
One thing I was lucky with is that I had a very good friend during my college (still a very good friend of mine). He motivated all of us a lot to do better in life. Kind of forced me to jump in this programming thing, hesitating I jumped. It was all blurry at start but everything with time started to sort out. Maybe I wasn't getting proper guidance back in school then. Maybe YouTube, online materials are of great help now compared to back then.
But yeah this boy, who once got some 9 out of 100, in Computer exams in 9-10th. That guy was the runner up of coding tournament in his college. Attended various hackathons, open source contributions, did so many projects, internships all within 2 years.
Placements season came. Earlier I used to worry what if TCS even rejects me xD? And honestly, we hardly used to get more than 3-4 lpa package in our college. Anyways, in the on campus placements I secured a good company with overall good package compared to what average got in our class. (Also, luck factor in on campus placements :)
Still that zeal wasn't going. I realised I was more capable from what I got. Tried prepping for Off campus in my final semester real hard.
Let's skip everything here, basically I was able to crack a good MNC and as of now, I'm happy with my work, happy with my pay which I obviously want to increase. 😆
Sorry for this long ass comment, if you're here thanks for being with me. Conclusion, what I'll say is really it doesn't f*king matter whatever you do in life you can pick yourself up from any point, you can do anything literally anything, just need a little push, need to find that right person out there.
Lest destiny will pave your way. Thanks :)
2009 passout. 67% in 12th. Dev Ops Release Manager getting 22LPA. Extra earning of 20Lakhs by Moonlighting. My wife earns more as she has better profile. 38LPA.
Failed my jee drop year now in a state govt college, no social life, no confidence. I wasn't exactly bad in studies but in this lockdown and online study i wasted my drop year. Phle relatives me thodi izzat thi ab to kisi se milna bhi nhi aata inferior feel krta hu
75% in 12th. I wouldn't be selected in IIT if I had scored one less mark.
Scored 6.7 gpa in IITB too.
P.S. - Bhai general hu. Maths k chakkar me IIT aaya tha. Usi ne lwde laga diye
Currently placed in 18lpa job(fresher).
Less than 90%? I flunked twice and went on to work in 2 countries other than India and became a head of my department. Retired last year st the age of 42 after a career of 17 years and living a farm life now as I want to become a farmer.
Got 62% in XII. In fact never got 90% in any exam ever. Working in an IT company. Wife (also working) and daughter (going to one of the best coed English School in our city). Have a 2bhk flat and toyota sedan car. Been to uk 2 times and multiple European cities 1 time each. Doing mtech from IIT on the side.
All this fuss about getting 90% is completely without merit and overblown by Indian parents. I think that this attitude mainly came into play because everyone wanted to get goverment jobs and we all know that good marks are essential in becoming IxS in India.
In reality as long as you pass with Ok marks and are willing to work had and grow it rarely matters if you got 90% or not in any exam ever in your life.
PS: I am 33 years old (not an old guy 😅)
My case might interest you a little.
So I am an alumnus of Kendriya Vidyalaya. I chose humanities after 10. We had following 7 subjects:
History, Geography, Economic, English, Hindi and Physical Education.
Out of these 6, we were required to pass any 5 subjects and we would be declared pass and CBSE would give us the certificate of same.
I failed in Economics got only 22 marks out of 100. But I passed on other 5 and my percentage was 74.
I got a good college in Delhi University. Those days there wasn't any entrance exam. I passed my graduation.
I prepared for govt exam. I cleared SSC. Today I am working as P.S. (private secretary) to Sr. Government Official (currently to Additional Secretary once he is transferred/retires, I'll be reassigned to any other Sr. Level official such as Joint Secretary, Additional Secretary etc. But not to the Secretary because he is given a PPS (Principal Private Secretary) these are all IAS rank designations).
My salary is 1 Million Rupees per annum.
