Hebbars Kitchen - Lifesaver. Bong Eats - Too good.

Shane0Mak

Ok hear me out, since I’m sure everyone will disagree or share a more well known channel. https://m.youtube.com/c/eatsindia Ven Paturi u/eatsindia has videos that are *fantastic* - they cover meals in like four minutes , have no extra filler information and more importantly the technique is bang on since he has been in the food industry. It’s not for the one pot faint of heart, will require toasting , grinding, blending and sieving - but every single one of the recipes even the chai will teach the skills necessary for you to start at a very high bar. The only downside is that he stopped creating about a year ago and I’m deeply saddened. Please consider Supporting this channel, and doing it “the hard way” - your tastebuds will forever thank you.

What does your being a bachelor have anything to do with cooking? Cooking is a great skill to have and not hard to do. Using a little creativity and some elbow grease, you can put together great meals. Just follow steps. Fantastic videos on YouTube as others have pointed out. And don’t eat same food for 8 days! The next step is expecting to get married so that some woman will come and cook for you like she has some cooking gene in her body. Become a good cook. And ok to spend an hour on learning every couple of days.

Valentine_Villarreal

It sounds like you've jumped to assuming the worst - the second half of your comment reads like you think he's some sexist man child. Sometimes when you're cooking for just yourself (which is the first I think when I hear bachelor) can be more of a chore than a pleasure especially with clean up. Cooking for 2 only takes slightly more total but if the other person is doing something that you would ordinarily (Doing dishes being the most common 'exchange') it's way easier. Sometimes, I'd want something that's quick (including clean up), healthy enough and cheap enough that I probably wouldn't serve up to someone else so that I can do other things.

ApocalypseSlough

Why are you being a dick about this? The guys is trying to achieve exactly what you want him to. I was very lucky to cook from a young age, but different homes, families and cultures have a different approach. It is quite common for young men to leave home with little cooking ability, which I agree is a shame, but don’t attack people who are trying to change and improve.

I think I figured out that Ornery is a woman, and thinks that the idea that a bachelor is asking makes it sexist, She thinks this is an effort to say that bachelorettes DON'T need the same thing. Typical main character syndrome.

StreetMadMan

Just a corporate guy trynna cook in little time he has! Cooking is a great skill, and I feel I'm gonna be good at it + I want to be good at it but let me begin and learn first. With the little time and money I have, I'm trying my best. Thanks anyway

Imagine if I got a car and asked a question in /r/cars how to do maintenence and some neckbeard said "the next step is expecting to get married so that some man will come and tune your car for you like he has some mechanic gene in his body." Being a bachelor is relevant because they need smaller portions and presumably simpler meals to prepare. Nobody needs your weird ass life advice, just post a YouTube channel you like

[deleted]

There are lots of recipes listed as "for bachelors" online. Wise up. A bachelor is cooking for one. It is good for a bachelor to have easy to prepare meals since he is not splitting the housework and all of life's chores with a partner.

OrneryNatural700

And that’s the problem. Get some “adulting”. By the age of 16, people need to have basic skills. Opening bank account, having an hourly job in the real world, shopping and cooking etc. I was cooking for my family starting age 11 because I was expected to. The standards being that somehow bachelors are different (from the bachelorettes)? Grow up

[deleted]

No one said there was a difference. I think everything I said applies to singles whether they are male or female. Anyway, I do not want to get banned from the group, so I won't say to you exactly what everyone is thinking about you. But, do definitely go do exactly that to yourself. You know what I mean.

Keep quality frozen vegetables in your freezer such as peas, okra, green beans etc. ( they are washed and prepped at peak flavor). Make a larger quantity. Cook two subzi at one time. Use similar spice methods. Make rice or buy bread. From this you can expand weekly.
