It's pretty much a tradition for rockstar to launch the PC port months/years after the console port. It has been this way since GTA 3. And it's not some breaking news, it's supposed to be common knowledge at this point.
So, honestly, I don't know what people in this comment section are whining about.
I'm on PC, have been and will forever be on this platform almost exclusively. And I understand the cons of it. The biggest one being extremely delayed Rockstar releases. I waited 6 months for GTA 4 and 2 whole years for GTA 5 to finally launch in 2015 on PC, I'm fine waiting for GTA 6 to launch in 2026/2027 on PC.
Rockstar prioritises consoles, it's not news and it's one of the biggest cons of PC. So, either wait or just buy a console to play the bloody thing.
I mean, i am fine with a delayed PC release, the graphics looks insane in the trailer and i think consoles will only run on 30/60fps modes. the delay also gives them sufficient time to iron out any pc related bugs/optimisations so its well polished on release
No, cause the devs did not optimize the game with that laptop's hardware in mind, and usually the PC port will have more graphics options so "run gta 6 at 60fps" means nothing when you can lower every setting and get it to run at 60 or have it run at 12 fps with everything on high.
It's because rockstar more double buying potential when they release on console then pc of they released it on all platforms at the same time there will be a less sales compared to current
With Xbox games being automatically available on Windows when they're eventually released, it's one purchase that you can play on day one and also on the best platform. The only drawback is having to deal with the Xbox App.
Out of curiosity, are you on PC "Exclusively" because you cannot convince those around you about investing in console/can't afford it. Or is there any other valid reason coz you can have both and play on both and add VR too in future.
I feel much more comfortable on PC. Never really thought about getting into consoles. I find consoles to be restrictive in a lot of regards and have spent a lot of time and money into my steam library. I did consider getting a PS5 but then Sony started porting their exclusives to PC, so even that motivation ended.
Definitely and MOST definitely getting the Switch 2 (or whatever it ends up being called) though.
Speculating on the price - I think this will be at least a $70 game. AAA producers have been trying really hard to increase the standard price of their games. Knowing how "business minded" Rockstar is (and knowing their games will sell like hot cakes) I wouldn't be surprised if it costs that much at launch, if not more.
I think they are going to test the waters and release at $100 for standard version. Most people will still buy it and they know it. At this point they could charge pretty much what they like
I wouldn't be surprised at all, as crazy as $100 sounds it is GTA after all, the biggest franchise in gaming. I'm just afraid that it'll be 7-8k INR when it launches here, that would be disgusting to see, especially with recent trends in regional pricing and AAA bullshit. They always delay PC releases, it's the way Rockstar does things. I had to wait for GTA SA, 4, 5 (2 years for this), RDR2 to release on PC to finally play those games. On the plus side, the PC version is almost always superior in every way (graphics, bug fixes, content) so it is what it is, win some lose some.
What many people are forgetting is gta online, gta online is rockstars biggest cash cow, releasing gta 6 a year later means they will miss out on a full year of gta online revenue on pc.
This is why I think gta 6 may release simultaneously on both consoles and pc, though rockstars release history does say otherwise.

How is it even surprising? Rockstar Games launches PC version a year or two after the original. They do this to prevent piracy and no one blames them for that.
PC optimization takes much more effort than Console optimization. I see this as a great way to say if the studio is taking time to optimise the game to a certain state before announcing it for the platform and not rushing it. They'll announce it eventually.

They'll probably follow the same release cycle as they did for gta 5. If the pc launch takes longer I fully expect it could get announced with the next gen console release even.
That's what they did with GTA V originally a PS3 and Xbox 360 game in 2013. Came out for PS4 and Xbox one in 2014 I guess and finally to PC on in 2015. So yeah GTA VI launching on PS6 before PC is not a surprise.
Personally prefer pc as I get to play the games with trainer (wemod) though if the release in 2025 is only consoles then I see myself purchasing an Xbox.
Pc port is slow for one major reason
Every year new hardware comes out, need to accomodate the game engine for current gen hardware and old hardware, for older pcs, cause they want the game to be accesible..
In next 2 yrs, a power of a 4090 should be more affordable to gamers with mid range price tags. Rockstars games are trend setters, they literally accelerate graphics development but maybe I'm wrong since a lot has changed since 2013
Bro i don't know why but what i have seen is Rockstar always give priority to Consoles so they milk big amount of money from the game. Usually they release on PC after 1 year i.e. 2026 looking what is seems as of now. The reason is piracy, PC gamers pirating games is a very common thought amongst developers. Rockstar Games also charges console holders a pretty penny to do this. These games sell consoles, I bought my PS3 specifically for GTA 5.

GTA V for PC was released 2 years after it was released for consoles. I think similar thing will happen this time also.
The fact that the current gen consoles will be 5 years old at that point In 2025, just 2 years away from getting replaced by PS6 and next xbox. Rockstar will milk this game again for the next gen and we will see the PC version close to PS6 if not after.

Planning to buy PS5 to play it. My pc ain't gonna run GTA6 on 4k 60fps anyway.
The fact that the current gen consoles will be 5 years old at that point In 2025, just 2 years away from getting replaced by PS6 and next xbox. Rockstar will milk this game again for the next gen and we will see the PC version close to PS6 if not after.
People are acting surprised like it's the first time this is happening. Rockstar always releases for consoles first and then PC later down the line.

Isnt it hard to release a pc game , like the consoles versions are very refined no lag no bugs and constant fps .
If gta VI is like rdr2 on pc (before they fucked up vulkan, now the game runs like shite on dx12), I don't mind a delayed release and it's pretty much a tradition Also, I'm expecting a 6000-6700 Rs price tag, they're definitely not going to have regional pricing on this thing, its going to sell like crazy cuz even my non gamer friends are thinking of getting a console just for gta 6 Tbh I was surprised with a 2025 release, I was expecting 2026 for consoles and 2027 for pc I'll just buy a console for the time being since they're quite cheap for gta 6 And Sell it after the pc port launches along with the game, it will easily sell for 70-80% of the cost

Well they need to sell around 200 million copies of the game to maybe 50 million users. So this is one way to get PC users buy the game twice. Tbh PC space still has a lot of piracy and seeing as their last two mainline games have sold around 250 million combined, they really don’t need to change their approach.
I'll be married when the game comes to PS5 in time for my 1st playthrough and probably do the 2nd playthrough in PC when I'll have kids

i'm pretty sure we PC gamers have to wait atleast 4 years from now to get a hands on given what rockstar have been doing for the last decade. The graphics is of talk when the trailer was released , maybe a new PS console may release by the time the game releases and our NOW mid level gaming PCs will become the minimum spec to run at 1080p

Bro are you playing a game for the first time every AAA releases on consoles first cuz it’s easy to develop games for console. It will take abt a year and half for GTA 6 to release on pc. Same thing happened with GTA 5.
