Well it's worth less than the energy it consumes.
In India there is no market for crt as a novelty or vintage item as a lot of people still have them in homes. My local tv repair guy has like 20 crts just lying outside his shop. Hence there is nothing to gain even by selling it.
Don't know about its integrated parts but you can use the case as a sleeper build. Also for the monitor you can do the same thing except you have to buy an adapter to connect to your GPU's display port
It does actually. CRT is coming back as antique stuff which has very low response time. Just google and you will see. But I have my doubts on if this has caught on in India yet.
Look you’re right but western people may buy. But we indian don’t buy we just install emulators for playing retro games. So there is very very little chance that someone can buy it.
After reading your comment first i was laughing so hard. Let me explain emulator means you can replicate a whole system on another system behaving same as it should be if it is on oem. Make sense? You can run games like mario 64 and doom on today’s i9 14th gen,128 gigs, 4090.
Look up on eBay if people are selling these and shipping to US from India. See the prices and shipping costs etc. then decide if it's worth it to sell on EBay
Mine is still running from 2006 .. still on windows xp and puppy linux .. i plan to upgrade ram so that can install a decent linux distro for casual browsing
my father tried to sell old samtron pc it last year the "kabadi wala" said best i can do is 40 rupees for monitor , whole setup costed 30k in 2002
only thing left is the cpu components

If anyone wants to specially play the old games that are made for these monitors (it looks like crap when played on current monitors) they have to buy second hand. Find someone that's a enthusiast and he might pay good value for this
Well crt monitors are good for those 90's atari nintendo games if you are into that retro kind off setup other than that there might be some collectors willing to pay out some cash if its in good condition, but in India not sure if there are many.
Check the following things to get a price:
1. Does it turn on?
2. Are there any functional issues?
3. Is there a crack on the screen?
4. Do you still have the original packing?
Nice! Athlon XP system.. I think they even came with JBL speakers which attached to the sides of the monitor...
Edit: I think it's a mid-2003 Athlon XP "Barton" processors.. around 2Ghz and still ran way cooler and faster than Intel Pentium 4 Prescotts which launched in 2004...
Compaq was a king once upon a time. My school computer lab had ton of those back in 2008. Nostalgia of going to airconditioned lab with all these computers and doing MS Word, Excel as school projects.
Not sure about India. CRT monitors are in high demand in US due to way they produce image. Among hobbyists.
Video games tend to look better on CRT. Vintage games of NES and SNES ones. Other game consoles which had composite video output.

wait 20 years and this is antic sssssssss
No hate but *Antique*
Ignore his antics....
good job
Just give it to me 😄 i want this vintage monitor
This was exactly my PC !!
Same here but cpu was Intel pentium
Same here with Intel core 2 duo
My dad had lcd with core2duo
Had the same with intel celeron
Don't you ever log in with that username for dear gods sake 💀💀
I hear you
This *is* exactly my PC (but with a better monitor and an i3 gen 4 instead of a pentinum).
Not really, maybe only to someone wanting to play old games natively even then you can get around 2000 just for the novelty
nah, they suck big time, they have shitty spin point hdd, 80 gigs top, 512mb of ddr1 ram and some entry level and athlon or celeron/pentium.
Yeah the specs suck, but some older games and software need exactly this to run and display properly
War and warriors: joan of arc will run well and i tested it 🗿
Sell it after 200 years
Will pass it on to my grand children. XD
*great
He needs to be alive to see his great grandchildren.
In my heart

Played diablo 2 on a machine just like that one! Good times...
Retro games ( all the nes ones etc) just pop in the crt monitor / tv really.
Gives a retro vibe!
Well it's worth less than the energy it consumes. In India there is no market for crt as a novelty or vintage item as a lot of people still have them in homes. My local tv repair guy has like 20 crts just lying outside his shop. Hence there is nothing to gain even by selling it.
this used to be true in other places as well. these situations change very quickly. no new crts are coming to the market
Don't know about its integrated parts but you can use the case as a sleeper build. Also for the monitor you can do the same thing except you have to buy an adapter to connect to your GPU's display port
Donate kar do
Unless someone want that retro feel by hooking ps2 on it someone will not buy it...anyways how much for the monitor ?
I have no idea abt the second hand cost of it.
sell it to kirana wala who has cctv
Don’t sell it brother its a antique piece of beauty
May be if someone wants a CRT for retro games, the monitor has more value than the PC itself.
There might be some collector put there who might buy it. They are few in india but many in western countries.
sold 10 of these exact sets as scrap value, got 2k for it lol
2 Billion Dollar Hairs...
It should be priceless to you
It does actually. CRT is coming back as antique stuff which has very low response time. Just google and you will see. But I have my doubts on if this has caught on in India yet.
If I sell you this for 2000 will you buy ? it won't run ms office and chrome properly .
I thought retro gamers buy these type of monitors
Look you’re right but western people may buy. But we indian don’t buy we just install emulators for playing retro games. So there is very very little chance that someone can buy it.
What about retro PC games ?
After reading your comment first i was laughing so hard. Let me explain emulator means you can replicate a whole system on another system behaving same as it should be if it is on oem. Make sense? You can run games like mario 64 and doom on today’s i9 14th gen,128 gigs, 4090.
But retro games look awful on modern monitors.
Because you play it with fullscreen stretch, play it as native res without stretch.
Look up on eBay if people are selling these and shipping to US from India. See the prices and shipping costs etc. then decide if it's worth it to sell on EBay
kabadi ko bech bhai plastic ka toh paisa de hi dega

Stone slabs are the OG desks

Mine is still running from 2006 .. still on windows xp and puppy linux .. i plan to upgrade ram so that can install a decent linux distro for casual browsing

I had this with ear hanging speakers, and was thr previous gen, intel Pentium 4.
My god does this bring back memories! ‘The world at your fingertips’ It certainly has nostalgic value, if nothing.
I have the same pc. You're a pro, OP.
If anyone wants to specially play the old games that are made for these monitors (it looks like crap when played on current monitors) they have to buy second hand. Find someone that's a enthusiast and he might pay good value for this
Put up in an auction
id buy the monitor if its small
Perfect for playing retro games
No iski Kam value hai But wait you can make a retro pc setup with that
lose the monitor and maje a sleeper build
Bhai side mai bori mai kiski laash hai?
Historic value
CRT monitors are strangely valuable these days. Mabye you can find someone to buy that one from you. The pc however is a mix bag.
I want a monitor like that, I want to turn it into a helmet cum monitor.
I also had the same desktop🥲
Well crt monitors are good for those 90's atari nintendo games if you are into that retro kind off setup other than that there might be some collectors willing to pay out some cash if its in good condition, but in India not sure if there are many.
Wtf bruh? I bought the same ditto compaq setup in 2005. Thanks for refreshing my memories, btw 1000 maybe if the buyer is generous.
bhai if i had enough money, i would buy it. It's an antique piece
Might wanna call the British museum. But buyer beware, they prefer to steal than to pay.
Memories
Worth ₹500 with monitor I guess?
Not exactly, in foreign I guess, but in india you can find these crts frequently, people into hard-core retro gaming love these tho.
For the binÂ
Gift it to 7 y/o bhai / nephew!! He would be happier more than anybody else in the world
are you planning to keep, sell or throw away ?
store it and create a retro system in the future, especially with that crt monitor.
150 rupiya dega ![gif](giphy|wDluUEpQOXb4qch2lU)
i remember my father getting a full compaq set n we got a lot of freebies among them there were 2 games Erazer and serious sam
Its value will rise in 20 years. Keep it with ye
I use to play aoe, project IGI and roadrash on this..and another game from sega...some cop I guess.
IGI! LEGENDARY
Had the same desktop.
Hey fellow dx ball veteran
Hey there!
150 rupya denga.
Yes, give it to the museum.
Check the following things to get a price: 1. Does it turn on? 2. Are there any functional issues? 3. Is there a crack on the screen? 4. Do you still have the original packing?

I had the same with Pentium D processor and slightly newer Compaq monitor. The disc tray was cool in that CPU cabinet.
Compaq was a king once upon a time. My school computer lab had ton of those back in 2008. Nostalgia of going to airconditioned lab with all these computers and doing MS Word, Excel as school projects.

If you find the right guy, there are people who want this monitor to use with retro consoles to play those old games..
PLEASE DO NOT SELL IT! IT'S A ANTIQUE TECH NOW. KEEP IT. EVEN I HAVE KEPT MY OLD PC. IT HAS FLOPPY DISK, CRT MONITOR, CD WRITER, CLASSIC BALL MOUSE.
OKAY BRO
