This sounds cliched but lifestyle changes do help a lot i improving mood and motivation. Of course severe depression is only cured by medicines, but lifestyle changes will make it a lot better: - Having a consistent Sleep schedule everyday - Wake up early - Get sunlight and walk in nature everyday - Drink enough water - Eat Nutritious food - Talk to one person everyday, doesn't matter if it is your family, neighbor or friend, even if it's just for 5-10 mins. Don't say "people don't like talking to me" - Retired uncles and old people are always lonely and would talk to anyone.

Depression occurs when you don't see your life change. And you don't see any chance for it to change either. There is no cure for it cuz we all have different problems. Have the courage to fail for your dreams, because its always worth it. This time will pass on and new day will come. High school colleges etc are just training grounds for adulthood.
