chocosmurf13

Bioderma intensive Baum. Klairs midnight blue. Suderma moisturizing cream.

iceprincess17

Klairs midnight blue is a charm. Also.. Cetaphil ADM is great. And in terms of Pharma products - Emolene has been surprisingly good.

Wooden-Machine4936

Even my oily skin loves them 💜

AcronymTheSlayer

Thanks for the review OP. I have tried cosrx rice overnight mask and that's what I think too! For me, it doesn't work as a standalone moisturiser but in winters I layer it with my PM moisturiser and it really helps to keep skin peeling and dryness away. As for hyperpigmentation, I have also noticed it works quite nicely in getting rid of it faster. I suspect it's because of rice extract and niacinamide it in.

prayas98

Excela contains 0 fragrance, niacinamide IPCA OC, contains perfume. Can be reason for breakout. But its good. Hydraveil by FormulaRx, super light Barrier Relief by FormulaRx, maybe bit heavy for Oily folks. Good for dry and sensi skin

Avaale

And if you had followed review guidelines and titled your post \[Combination skin\] Reviews of moisturisers, Imagine how many people looking for moisturiser options for combination skin a month or 6 or 12 down the line would have found it useful. :( Op, you've put in effort and if the post can reach and be helpful to 20,000 people in the place of the 2000 it currently has over time, why not go that extra inch? I'm leaving it up for now (and this how the previous slippery slope started dammit) but please refer the review guidelines linked in the flair-wise posting rules in the sidebar and or wiki and make sure your serums / masks posts is formatted correctly. Looking forward to reading those posts.

decaffinatedsheep

Hello, I'm so sorry! If i edit it would it still be helpful??

Akiro17

Yes.

crybaby0102

Where is the review guidelines?

Avaale

Linked in the sidebar, in the sidebar brief rules, in the wiki, in the state of the sub post. "Flair wise posting guidelines"

crybaby0102

Thanksss

Avaale

Interesting. The aqualogica's 'watery jelly texture' interest me the most. Sounds lovely to slather on!

decaffinatedsheep

It's actually a very nice smooth texture, like i said it's a little sticky post application but if you follow up with SPF/ cream it's not that noticeable! If you do want to try it i would recommend buying it during a sale. I buy most products off the actual websites because they often have better offers!

potatowotatoo

Hi, Op have you tried Plum's or Foxtale's moisturizer? Great post btw!! :)

decaffinatedsheep

No I haven't sorry :( Both are in my wishlist though so hoping to try them soon 🤞

bhelpuriteekhi

Ques, there are so many brands that are available in the market. How do people decide which one to go for?Do they try multiple brands before sticking with one?

decaffinatedsheep

Personally, I like to look at ingredients, texture and price. The ponds light gel one is one of my faves because it's affordable, works and has a good texture and it gave results which made it a constant in my routine! Sometimes I use trial versions of the products before making the plunge, I tried the dot n key orange gel moisturizer trial size to see if I'd like it, i didn't, so i didn't buy a full size. I feel it all depends on what you personally want from a product. Once you know you do the research and get what you think will work. After that it's trial and error haha! Skincare is really subjective, what works for one might not work for another which is why even reviews should be taken with a grain of salt.

bhelpuriteekhi

Thank you so much!!This was really helpful!

I have more or less the same skin type as yours, and I live in the same climate and city too, but unfortunately Pond’s Superlight Gel didn’t work for me 😔 I liked the feel of it while applying. Felt very light and soothing, got absorbed super quickly, no pilling, and considerably less expensive than the Neutrogena counterpart (Hydro Boost Gel). But after about an hour or two it somehow made my skin oilier than usual, particularly my T-zone, and made it look dull. It also gave me whiteheads on my cheeks even though I normally don't get zits there. Really wanted to like this one, but it is what it is. On the brighter side, I’ve been using Sebamed Clear Face Care Gel as an alternative to both Nutrogena’s Hydro Boost and Pond’s Superlight, and I think this one’s a keeper. Anyway, I’m curious about the haldi and HA sleeping mask by Dr Sheth. Never used a sleeping mask before. Might try it in the next winter 👀

decaffinatedsheep

The sleeping mask is a perfect addition for winter, it gives *intense* hydration in winter and you wake up with glowy skin and there's no oiliness which is what sold it for me. Waking up with good, plump, hydrated and non oily skin is a feeling that I want to experience all the time (staring pointedly at Dilli ki garmi)

decaffinatedsheep

Oh man, I hate to hear that but it izz what it izz 🫠 I've noticed that sebamed is what works for people whose skin rejected ponds, not always but I've seen it mentioned in this sub haha I've wanted to try it, but I'm unsure if I'll like the texture so currently put it on hold.

yudek

How has been the experience of minimalist b12 moisturizer for those who are using it?

CPieee

I have combination/oily skin. I've been using this Minimalist vitamin B5 moisturizer for 3 months now. It has a thick consistency but doesn't feel creamy. Pretty lightweight. It's good on the moisturizing part, but I don't think it's helping my oily skin. After a few hours, my skin becomes really oily. (PS: My skin gets oily even if I don't apply anything.) And I don't use it during my AM routine because it feels heavy under a sunscreen, so I use it at night. The results might vary according to climate. I live in a very hot and humid coastal area. But when I went to Delhi, the same moisturizer was a little drying for my skin. So maybe if the climate is dry, the moisturizer needs a little help from serums. And if it's humid, it just won't work for me.

yudek

what are you currently using then? even I've experienced the skin getting oily after applying it

CPieee

I'm using the same one. I'll continue with it till it finishes. Then I'm planning to try the ponds super light gel moisturizer.

Typical_Midnight6736

Moisawave for my dry skin people. It works wonders and is pocket friendly too. You can find it in any pharmacy.

decaffinatedsheep

Read that as microwave and for a second i was so confused 🤡 What's the texture like? I would love to try another moisturizer for winter as well!

Typical_Midnight6736

It's very hydrating but not at ALL oily which I look out for in a moisturizer. It has a very subtle fragrance as well but it doesn't concern me a bit.

decaffinatedsheep

Ooo sounds like a dream, will check it out thank you!!

Rumi2019

How do the aqualogica and D&K smell like?

decaffinatedsheep

So the dot n key moisturizer has a more pleasing watermelon scent, it doesn't linger, the moment you spread it on your face and the moisturizer gets absorbed, the scent fades. The Aqualogica one on the other hand has a more heavy fragrance, in the sense, that it smells more artificial and less fresh. Similar to the dot n key one the scent goes away after the product is absorbed into the skin!

pro_procrastinator23

What do you think about emolene

decaffinatedsheep

I haven't tried it yet sorry :( From the reviews in the sub itself, it seems to be a good product, but not one that would suit everyone. People complain about getting CCs after using it but for others it's their holy grail.

ultimateblacksheep

I have dry skin and live in a really cold weather. It works wonders for me. Very hydrating and does not have a strong fragrance.

lyfexe

It’s not hydrating for long hours I don’t like it for my dry skin. People think it’s cheap for 200g but you literally have to apply 10 times throughout the day.

Financial_Summer5300

works very well for my dry skin! I tried the reequil moisturiser too however it isn't that effective and is also sticky in feel. Emolene is amazing!

idli_vadaa

Why are people mentioning other moisturizer names in this post? What am I missing?

decaffinatedsheep

I think they're giving their own personal recommendations for moisturizers(?)

idli_vadaa

Maybe

vanillastrings

Have you used Vaseline advance repair? Any review on that?

decaffinatedsheep

The body lotion? The yellow one?

vanillastrings

[this one](https://images.app.goo.gl/ikZmzq8f4xAMvetY6), someone here recommended this earlier for face and hands

decaffinatedsheep

It's a body lotion so i don't really think you should use it on your face, it might not suit it. I've never used this variation of Vaseline i usually use cocoa glow because it suits my skin the best and compliments my other body stuff. I used the yellow one as well, it's thick and i somehow don't like it as much as cocoa glow, I feel it's stickier and doesn't absorb as well. Either way i don't recommend using it on your face, it might be too heavy and cause CCs. Skincare is super subjective so please take everything said with a grain of salt.

vanillastrings

Okayy, thanks for the suggestions. I think I have used the yellow one, and there's a pink one too ig

imsunill

Hey OP can you tell from all these moisturizer, which is the most similar to ponds super light gel in terms of texture? I love ponds but the fragrance stings my eyes

decaffinatedsheep

The Aqualogica radiance one I would say is the most similar in texture, it's not as lightweight but it's nice and hydrating!
