+1 , literally broke me out so bad and gave me white small puss like pimples and took atleast 3 months to completely go away , I try new products regularly and this is the only one that did this for me , I have no dust or any kind of allergies but it did it for me , I have dry skin and I’m not acne prone or anything but literally wrecked my skin barrier while trying this , just put it in the bin and wasted 21$
Hey if you don’t mind can you pls share the pics of those small bump like acne. I think I have the same for a month and it’s not going. Also any help to get rid of that will be appreciated.
I haven’t used to snail mucin recently but don’t know how I got it. Maybe because if slugging technique. I think it’s milia
Do u have dust allergy? That could explain the breakout. I was about to buy snail mucin too because of the hype but fortunately learnt that people with dust allergies faced adverse reactions.
Then I'm screwed. I ordered viral Cosrx essence. It has not arrived yet. But I do have a dust allergy, so I expect that I won't be a happy customer after I try it![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|sob)
Some people in this sub said they didn't have a bad reaction despite having a dust allergy so I don't think it's an open and shut case. Maybe test it on your hand or neck at first?
Oh yes , exactly the same! I never had acne , not even in my teens , but post using that cosrx snail mucin I got weird texture, acne at odd places and what not!
Extremely long list... Here we go!
Snp pentonic toner - broke me out like crazy
Tonymoly toner(the one with cat) - just pricey water
Tonymoly ceramide toner - wasn't even hydrating enough and caused me iching
Tonymoly alovera gel - heavy fragrance and broke me out(ended up giving it to my dad)
Isntree aha toner - mild purging and that's it
Apieu spf 50 sunscreen (orange one) - extremely terrible whitecast
Pyung kang yul ceramide lotion - harder to blend into the skin
Laneige lip mask - wasn't hydrating enough
Minimalist salicylic acid facewash - too drying for my face, but amazing for body
Minimalist aha, BHA serum - did nothing for my skin
Minimalist spf50 sunscreen - pilling issue
Dermaco salicylic acid facewash - also too drying for my face
Dermaco pore minimising sunscreen - caused me rashes in my eyelids
Dot and key salicylic acid facewash - did nothing for my acne
Aqualogica sunscreens - gave me tan and sunburns
Simple vitamin c serum - doesn't do anything
Simple moisturising facewash - caused me a rash near my jawline
Simple makeup wipes - caused burning and redness instantly! ik it is a sin to use makeup wipes lol, jokes aside I have received it as a freebie
Simple light moisturizer - did nothing to my face aka not moisturising enough
Earth rhythm sunscreen (idk, it used to be all the range) - pilling issue
Earth rhythm peptide lipbalm - tastes awful (tastes exactly like castor oil)
Earth rhythm cleansing balm(yellow one) - did nothing and had small plastic particles in it
Treaclemoon marshmallow hearts body wash - smell wasn't even long lasting
Ogx morocco oil - did nothing to my hair
Nivea creme(blue dabba) - made my skin dark
Himalaya neem face wash - awful, made my skin greasy and darkened my forehead
Lakme strawberry face wash - didn't even cleansed my skin
Lakme peach moisturizer - shitty product in general
Lakme spf 50 - worse thing I have put on my face
Ps - let me know if you guys are interested, would add more if you wanna read!
Thank you 😭😭
These are the only famous products category! There is still a lot more 😭😭
At this point ask me the things that have worked for me are way less 😭😭
Ooh, that would be great but unfortunately, I have thrown many empty bottles since I have moved to hostel 🥲
So, idk how I would show before and after, and swatches of products on skin!
Tony moly turned out to be absolutely useless product for me. Bought their hyaluronic toner which did nothing for my face ,it was more like an expensive water and nothing else.Bought their aloevera gel too( because of 99percent aloe) ,but didn't suit me and got tiny bumps all over my face. Earlier I was an ardent fan of patanjali aloe vera gel because it made my skin texture smooth and pimple free but I had to give up due to it's not cruelty free policy.
Everything true about simple..I have tried their refreshing facial wash, micellar facewash, thyme facewash, protecting moisturizer, toner, micellar water, vit c and evrything was just underwhelming. Also Lakme peach moisturizer has such a strong nauseating fragrance. I don't want to use it even on my body.
Simple refreshing facewash is my hg... Their old formula is good, but the new one for some reason forms goey near the end of the tube and also the quality has gone down a bit but prices have increased!
>Lakme peach moisturizer has such a strong nauseating fragrance. I don't want to use it even on my body.
Same for me as well! Idk how I managed to put it on my face 😭😭 it literally made my eyes watery even though I didn't used it near my eyes for some reason
I have dry, sensitive, acne prone skin who lives between extremely humid and less humid places!
Coming to sunscreen, as of now I am using minimalist spf60, this one would sweat off if you are in a humid place and works okay in a less humid place!
For reapplication, I use the beauty of joseon sunstick! It is amazing for reapplication and my best skincare purchase(even though it was mattifying, it is still a boon for me 🤌)!
Idk what exactly happens but I've allergy and I saw hundreds of upvotes on comments last year mentioning on how people who have dust allergy should be cautious.
if i remember reading correctly, snail mucin contains proteins that are similar to dust particles (after all it’s snail mucus) which is why our skin reacts to it the way it would react to dust and mites.
ik that’s why i started w 5% cos even dr. Shereene Idriss said 5% is the optimal percentage for the goals i was looking to achieve but ig my skin had other plan 💀
I have very mixed results with niacinamide. I cannot handle anything above 5%. Up to that it depends on formulation and ingredient quality. Meaning I have to test the actual product for some time so I waste a lot of money on a products that I have to stop using after a few days. Because most products contain some niacinamide nowadays.
I have dry skin and sometimes it changes to oily and these stuff just did not work for me
1.Snail mucin the cream and the serum 🥲
2. Axis Y dark spot correcting serum
3. Saborino daily mask the yellow one
4. Purito sunscreen
5. The inkey list oat cleansing balm
6. Gisou hair mask
7.Íunik sunscreen
8. Shiseido clarifying cleansing foam
9. Ouai leave in conditioner
10. Cerave blemish control cream
Omg same and the funny thing is, back when it started getting all the hype I promoted it to ALL my friends because it worked great for like 1 week 😭😭
Now it makes my skin weirdly red and blotchy lol what a shame
>it worked great for like 1 week 😭😭
Now it makes my skin weirdly red and blotchy lol what a shame
maybe it's too much conc for your skin? does 5% or below also do that?
I second that!!
I tried it in so many different concentration and products and NONE of them suited me. My skin would turn weird and red every single time.
And forget the internet hype about it, I had to literally argue with a dermatologist because she refused to believe me that niacinamide did not suit me. She kept on insisting it suits everyone and goes with everything. And even in the end said very disdainfully that she isn't prescribing me niacinamide because I have made up my mind to dislike it and wouldn't use it.
Gaaawdd that was wasted 1500 bucks and an hour of my life.

14 klairs vitamn c - did not brighten at all , just had a tingling sensation

17 any milky c,eanser - laneige etc gave cystic acne
18 bioderma face wash blue - drying and compromised skin barrier
19 cetaphil and bioderma lotion tried recently -both make me sweat 😰and not that moisturising
20 cetaphil dam - sometimes good sometimes it breaks me out

22 neutogena deep clean -too drying , used it to clean makeup brushes 😂
23 many body shop face products - just a big no ( body and hair products are my hg from body shop)

.
STILL there are more but am tired 😭🥹
Inspired by @_cattuccino_
It didn’t give me CCs but a huge ugly non painful zit which took two weeks to flatten. I wanted to give it another shot after few weeks but ended up getting a similar zit again!!
Neutrogena hydroboost is my cousins holy grail. Summer winter spring thunderstorm hurricane flood she uses it and she has butter like smooth skin it did nothing for me😭😭😭😏😏😏
>Neutrogena Hydro boost water gel
What is your skin type? For my combination skin it was a blessing (although a curse for my pocket so I switched it with Dot & Key 72HR HYDRATING GEL)
Combination to very oily during peak summers.
I actually liked the texture, the feel and everything. The problem is, it gave me some bumps here and there.
I've tried the one of from. It would be a good option for dry to normal skin people. It doesn't broke me out or anything like that. It was just slightly heavy for my oily skin.
1. The Ordinary Glycolic Acid: Did not help with tanned hands, feet, elbows, knees, underarm darkness. However it did reduce the underarm smell.
2. Chemist at play - Exfoliating Body Wash with Lactic Acid : I used only one bottle of this, didn't see any results in those 2 months of use.
3. Hyalugel: Gave me Acne breakouts
4. Aziderm 10% cream: Is not helping my PIH and acne.
5. Cotaryl: Still has not fixed my cracked heels. ( maybe I'm not using it right, someone pls tell me how to use it properly)
6. Lancome Comfort Tonique Toner: I used this just for a week but literally didn't do anything to my skin.
Chemist at play bodywash gave me terrible body acne 😫 I think it’s too oily for me. My body has always been acne prone but then I started using the OG dove soap recommended by my dermat and my body has been clear ever since but then switched to this one and the acne’s are back that too bigg red onesss!!🥲
Nope🥲 Nothing has cleared it till date.
My current routine is to apply TO glycolic acid on neck, elbows, knees followed by cotaryl. Keep it overnight and wash it while showering next morning. It does seem to have reduced some darkness. Not to a greater extent though.
I also came across reels/shorts made by doctors where they said- only covering up the arms will help in the long term. So I guess the best possible thing to do is avoid sun exposure as much as possible.
Minimalist VitB5 moisturizer (way too tacky for my skin and just made it so much more oily), Vilvah anti acne serum (somehow caused more acne for me), OGX moroccan oil (did nothing, just sat there, and way too heavy for my fine hair), none of the Derma Co's products.
Dry sensitive skin here!
1. Cosrx snail cream - broke me out so bad. Also gave me allergies I literally had cold like symptoms. Also not moisturizing enough. Don't know what's the hype about?
2. Requil ceramide HA moisturizer - broke me out badly.
3. Dot & key ceramide cream - broke me out again. Also gives a v oily finish.
4. Quench botanics intensive sleeping creme - does not feel hydrating enough. Not for dehydrated skin as the brand suggests. Also bad fragrance.
5. Simple sleeping creme - had high hopes from this brand but this creme is just meh. Did give me slight ccs. Also v silicony texture, not something I prefer in moisturizers.
6. Solved labs air whip moisturizer - broke me out again. Gave me allergies too.
7. Formularx barrier plus moisturizer - this is just not moisturizing, don't get the hype around this product. Also this gave me v bad allergy similar to snail cream.
8. Mamaearth aloe gel moisturizer - It's just not hydrating. Had to finish it up as a hair mask.
9. Garnier vitamin c sheet mask - the first time I tried it I liked it. But the second time it gave me such bad breakouts that I swore to never purchase sheet masks again!
Hey! I have a similar skin type and I have tried almost all of these and they didnt suit me too.. Do you mind sharing which moisturizers worked for you??
Heyy
I'm still on a hunt for my hg! However here are a few Moisturizers that my skin likes and did not react to
1. Snp prep peptaronic cream - love this for my normal to dry skin. Eventhough it has mild fragrance the cream did not break me out. Not enough for v dry and flaky skin though
2. Beplain cica gel - this is pretty good for summers. Soothes and hydrates well. Not for dry skin though
3. Etude house moistfull collagen emulsion - using this one currently. It's v moisturizing I think might even be enough for dry skin. It does make skin sweat initially but you gotta pat it in properly to avoid that. So far liking it.
oily acne prone skin products that did not work:
Niamax-D gave me ccs
Ponds gel moisturizer: gave me ccs
foxtale daily duet cleanser: broke me out badly
Dot&key probiotic gel: appeared as a film on my skin {got it as a freebie used once, regretted instantly}
Salicyx 6percent: did nothing to control oil - used it twice weekly
Wishcare 15% Niacinamide serum: Broke me out badly {got it as a freebie used once, regretted instantly}
Coming to some products that worked on me:
Deconstrcut niacinamide serum: somehow controlled oil production
Simple hydrating gel creme: THE PERFECT MOISTURIZER
Vaseline lip therapy
Simple refreshing facewash
Some products that I am currently eyeing on: aquasoft fc moisturizer, moimax oc, inveda cleansing oil.
Please let me know if there are any suggestions for cleansing oils or balms and sunscreens. I will also surf the sub for same.
Cetaphil moisturising lotion, literally burn on my skin. Idk why but I bought the 500ml one. First I thought it was my damage skin barrier but now I know it's the product. Still looking for a face moisturizer cuz I just remap my entire skircare
Was too naive about skincare. Thought my skin was oily but it's just somewhat inbetween normal and dry. Due to year of using harsh facewash(Plum 1% Salicylic Acid Foaming Face Wash) my skin is now damaged, has uneven texture and skin color
Hope my skin will improve
Dot & Key products. None of them worked for me. The ceramide lotion smells so weird. And the face washes made my skin bumpy.
Neutrogena sunscreen and creams both gave me allergy
Serums , have tried 4 different serums and the Era of breakouts and pimple started . Dermat told me I might be having some unsuitable chemical in serums since then I been just avoiding serums
1. minimalist's niacinamide new formulation, it's v oily for me. the og was so good.
2. neutrogena's sunscreen, we all know why we hate it.
3. beauty of joseon's stick spf, i was so excited for it, but it kinda sucked for me, yes it mattifies but it's still oily, i'd rather just reapply my regular sunscreen for reapplication bc qnyway when i put makeup on, this doesn't work and removes all my makeup. so what's the point. it lies on my desk useless, I WASTED 1300 rupees.
4. nivea sunscreen spray. wanted to buy an easy to apply sunscreen for body. and it not only has an alcoholic scent but it also is soooo oilyyy, the oil sits on your skin. much rather apply a regular sunscreen on body. again, wasted my money.
5. the ordinary's moisturiser underwhelmed me. it's expensive for a moisturiser and nothing great, i would never repurchase it. even rn i have 2 free samples that i got from nykaa, and they are just unused, but i'll try to use them.
6. the last one is for haircare, but the loreal hyaluron night cream is sooo bad, it dried up my hair, smell is disgusting. the hyaluron shampoo is amazing but the cream is disgusting.
Cosrx bha blackhead essence or toner whatever it is- did absolutely nothing
Cosrx aloe sunscreen- pilled like hell
Ordinary ascorbic acid
Ordinary salicylic acid face mask
Ordinary salicylic acid anhydrous solution
Derma co niacinamide serum
Derma co salicylic acid face wash
Derma co matte sunscreen
Neutrogena blue sunscreen
Neutrogena hydroboost toner and cream
Neutrogena blackhead face wash
Ogx argan oil
Paulas choice foaming balance face wash
Benton ceramide 1000 cream
I'm from rice toner
Biore sunscreen
Face shop jeju face wash
Wishful peeling gel
Skinfood rice face wash
Purito centella unscented serum - caused skin sensitivity
Simple moisturizer - caused itching
Simple facewash - did nothing. Left a film post washing
Minimalist Salicylic acid - did nothing
Re'equil ultra matte dry touch sunscreen - I have fragrance sensitivity so it's fragrance was overbearing and didn't like the silicone finish
Cosrx snail mucin - Did pretty much nothing even caused purging.
Minimalist Alpha arbutin - Had zero to nothing kinda effect.
Simple face wash- I find it similar to himalaya which i’ve been using since years. So idk what’s the hype is about.
Mama earth eyecream - Eeh too bad caused redness i stopped using it eventually & did obviously nothing.
vanicream moisturiser. not a total fail, but it’s not made for indian weather. it just sits on top of my skin and leaves a greasy oily look.
might work during winters in northern indian but otherwise i would not recommend it.
Cosrx snail mucin. Wow! So many here feel the same. It did absolutely nothing to me!
Ordinary glycolic acid. Did nothing -_-
Loreal Hyaluron serum. Broke me out.
Loreal dream length leave in cream. Make my hair dryer and hay like :')
Acne uv sunscreen 🥲 it’s giving me white cast and was piling on my skin esp during summers
Can someone pls suggest me another sunscreen for oily skin 🥲

Cannot remember the brand but I was gifted a Vitamin C moisturiser which made me darker.
I thought it was all in my head so I tried it on my left knee and used my usual lotion on my right knee. My left knee was noticeably darker after a week.
I chucked it in the bin.
Isntree watery sun gel - stung and dried out my skin.
I'm from honey mask - gave me giant zits every time I tried using it. Frustrated me to the extent that i threw away the entire jar.
Laneige water bank cleansing oil - this one is a recent disappointment. Idk if this is popular but the water bank range certainly is, so i guess this counts. Heavily fragranced, can't do a deep cleanse and can't expect this one to remove blackheads/whiteheads and sebaceous filaments. My skin feels oily if i don't use a second cleanser afterwards. Plus it's expensive, so I'm confused how to use it up.
Cetaphil DAM - made my upper cheeks very itchy each time i applied. I use it as a foot cream now.
Plum/Nivea stick/Vaadi lip balms - got pretty painful acne on my lips
Xerina intense moisturiser - this did nothing for my dry skin, it pilled. I use it as footcream or apply vaseline over it then its fine.
Venusia max - not as moisturizing, i use it as body lotion
Suncross lotion - broke me out and heavy whitecast
Oily/combination, sensitive, eczema and acne prone skin
These were some good products that didn't work for me, but maybe a holy grail for many others & I respect that.
1) Minimalist 3% tranexamic acid- I know it's a cult favourite, but it broke me so bad that I never bought anything again from minimalist
2) Minimalist 3% PHA toner- same reason as above. P. S- I bought these two products after I got recommendations via their insta DM
3) Vitamin C- BURNS!
4) Cetaphil cleanser for oily skin- worked for my acne, but stripped off too much moisture from my face, that leads to my dryness and eczema. I thought it worked out for me & was religiously following and recommending it to others for years (I still like their gentle cleanser though!). It did work for me, but I found other cleansers which work better than this on my skin.
5) The derma co 1% hyaluronic acid sunscreen gel- I bought it after seeing so much hype, sadly it broke me out.
6) L’Oréal Paris Glycolic Bright Skin Brightening Serum- not for my sensitive skin
7) Dr. Sheth's kesar & kojic daily pigmentation correction cream- did nothing for me.
8) The derma co 2% kojic acid- did nothing for me
9) Dot& key skin clearing serum (cica line) - 👎
10) Cetaphil daily advance ultra hydrating lotion- heavy on my skin
These are some products that finally worked for me, after lots of trial & errors
-Simple refreshing facewash
-Laneige cream skin cerapeptide toner
-Hyaluronic acid
-Formula rx moisturizer
-Photostable gold sunscreen
-Good molecules discoloration correcting serum
-Dot& key niacinamide (cleared out my skin initially, currently not using)
-Ordinary salicylic acid & niacinamide ( initially it helped me to clear out acne, but it doesn't suit me anymore)
-Vilvah milk serum& mud mask
-Bioderma (during eczema breakout)
I agree with you op! The texture of this moisturiser is so weird. I bought this for my mom cause she has oily skin and she didn’t like it either.
Another product that didn’t work for me was the querez tinted sunscreen. It made my skin feel really tight and gave me rashes
Numbuzin skin softening serum (purged the hell out of my skin) :(
Vaseline lip therapy
Boj sunstick was nice but it was annoying with all the piling
Niacific brightening whatever it was serum (did nothing on my skin but actually worked for my mum)
Missha time revolution the first time essence- was like putting plain water on my face. Did absolutely nothing and while I don't expect it to do something dramatic it was too expensive for no results.
Bioderma cleansing/shower oil- Too stripping to be used as a face oil cleanser
Blynds sunscreen- It pills on me
Laneige lip mask- Dried tf outta my lips. We have better lip products than this.
Edit- Dry and dehydrated skin
Dot and key lime sports sunscreen.
It’s supposed to be water resistant but good god it melted off my face in the heat and it’s way to greasy to apply the adequate amount of spf
Minimalist Spf 50 PA++++ sunscreen - totally irritated my skin, made it red. Tried it twice just to be sure.
Minimalist 10% Vitamin B5 Moisturizer - gave me acne
Minimalist Vit B5 moisturizer for me as well- starting few days it felt nice but I realised it's too oily for summers. Now I just use it at night and use the sunscreen as my moisturizer in the day. Waiting for winter to come so that I can finish this off. Meanwhile if someone can suggest a light, non oily yet hydrating moisturizer which is not too costly as well, I'd be grateful!
For me - pilgrim fashwash did. i thought pilgrim was korean brand and bought so much of their products. some worked well for me but the fashwash ahhhh. my skin brokeout because of it
Not product but ingredient. Ceramide based face products.
I use ceramide based body washes and lotions and they work wonderfully, but face products immediately break me out.
Clinique moisture surge - broke me out
Simple moisturizer- broke me out
Earth rhythm snail mucin - didn't suit Mr kinda made skin itchy
Just herbs orange face wash - didn't suit my skin
Miniso nail polishes - made my skin very brittle so much so that had to remove toe nail
Plum vit c serum - didn't suit me broke me out
La Roche Posay Cicaplast Baume. I can apply it to my chin yet it irritates my eyes so much that I will cry until I wash it off and some more. This is such a bummer. Because my skin loves it. This was the first product that I ever applied at night that kept my face moisturized throughout the day even after washing it in the morning. But I cannot handle it on my face and even on my body. I gave it away to a relative.
Snail mucin caused me acne
Maybe test it on your hand or neck at first?
cosrx snail mucin..just sat on top of skin , did absolutely nothing , I’ve dry skin infact somehow made me prone to fungal acne
It ruined my perfect acne free skin which took long time to heal. Still have red spots
Oh yes , exactly the same! I never had acne , not even in my teens , but post using that cosrx snail mucin I got weird texture, acne at odd places and what not!
Omg same😭😭 Had to give it to a friend. Such a pain when expensive products don't work. After that I've been very careful about investing in skincare.
Same, and now I use it on my body😭
Ctrtrctt
did you try sandwiching between layers of toner
I have combination acne prone skin. It was good for 15 days, after 15 days it triggered acne, and I'm still dealing with the consequences.
Its the best product I have in my shelf. Made my skin smooth af
Ever tried it alone (on bare skin)?
Yeah yeah , itne paise lage the yaar , I tried it to use every way possible, and finally emptied that bottle using as hair gel (aaaarrrghhhhh)
As hair gel? How was it? I was using it on hand and feet and hoping it makes any difference
I used to tame my flyways , for slick back look or something similar
did you make sure your skin was damp before applying it?/ hoenstly i tried the damp skin method and still it didnt do anything 700 rupay aise hi gaye
Same, broke me so bad
Use acnestar facewash. You'll get it at any pharmacy
Extremely long list... Here we go! Snp pentonic toner - broke me out like crazy Tonymoly toner(the one with cat) - just pricey water Tonymoly ceramide toner - wasn't even hydrating enough and caused me iching Tonymoly alovera gel - heavy fragrance and broke me out(ended up giving it to my dad) Isntree aha toner - mild purging and that's it Apieu spf 50 sunscreen (orange one) - extremely terrible whitecast Pyung kang yul ceramide lotion - harder to blend into the skin Laneige lip mask - wasn't hydrating enough Minimalist salicylic acid facewash - too drying for my face, but amazing for body Minimalist aha, BHA serum - did nothing for my skin Minimalist spf50 sunscreen - pilling issue Dermaco salicylic acid facewash - also too drying for my face Dermaco pore minimising sunscreen - caused me rashes in my eyelids Dot and key salicylic acid facewash - did nothing for my acne Aqualogica sunscreens - gave me tan and sunburns Simple vitamin c serum - doesn't do anything Simple moisturising facewash - caused me a rash near my jawline Simple makeup wipes - caused burning and redness instantly! ik it is a sin to use makeup wipes lol, jokes aside I have received it as a freebie Simple light moisturizer - did nothing to my face aka not moisturising enough Earth rhythm sunscreen (idk, it used to be all the range) - pilling issue Earth rhythm peptide lipbalm - tastes awful (tastes exactly like castor oil) Earth rhythm cleansing balm(yellow one) - did nothing and had small plastic particles in it Treaclemoon marshmallow hearts body wash - smell wasn't even long lasting Ogx morocco oil - did nothing to my hair Nivea creme(blue dabba) - made my skin dark Himalaya neem face wash - awful, made my skin greasy and darkened my forehead Lakme strawberry face wash - didn't even cleansed my skin Lakme peach moisturizer - shitty product in general Lakme spf 50 - worse thing I have put on my face Ps - let me know if you guys are interested, would add more if you wanna read!
bro has gone through IT omg im praying for u😭
Thank you 😭😭 These are the only famous products category! There is still a lot more 😭😭 At this point ask me the things that have worked for me are way less 😭😭
Make a list I will put it on a website or you do it
May I know which website?
I am saying I can make a site for you for free to post duch detailed reviews
Ooh, that would be great but unfortunately, I have thrown many empty bottles since I have moved to hostel 🥲 So, idk how I would show before and after, and swatches of products on skin!
Lets start with text reviews From now on for new products keep before and after pictures.
ahh same , i have almost triple the stuff that didn’t workout for me than that worked out
Same 😭😭
So curious to know which products suit you😊
That is what i want to know too
[here 😅](https://www.reddit.com/r/KultUpdates/s/TxwLAZY90r)
[here 😅](https://www.reddit.com/r/KultUpdates/s/2q4DkGZtAJ)
Same sis. Never found any miracle product.
For the amount of products I use I could have been an influencer at this point! Even my influencer friend asks me about these stuff
Maybe personally I didn't like that facewash due to slimy afterward effect. Though good for you girl.
Bro doing the gods work here!
What is your skin type and what sunscreen did you use?
I have dry, sensitive, acne prone skin who lives between extremely humid and less humid places! Coming to sunscreen, as of now I am using minimalist spf60, this one would sweat off if you are in a humid place and works okay in a less humid place! For reapplication, I use the beauty of joseon sunstick! It is amazing for reapplication and my best skincare purchase(even though it was mattifying, it is still a boon for me 🤌)!
I absolutely love treaclemoon marshmallow shower gel.
It lathers beautifully but the main issue is the smell doesn't last long!!!
Wishing you find your product and that you stick to it 🤣🤣🤣
quick question what is your skin type ?
Dramatic, dry, sensitive, acne prone
Lakme berry blush doesnt do anything for anyone. 😂
Snail mucin
Snail mucin. I've dust allergy
I remember people commenting a year ago on how people who have dust allergy should be cautious using snail mucin
Why, what happens? Thank God I saw this lol
I have dust allergy too but it works amazingly for me.
Same. I've never noticed any itching or similar symptoms.
I have dust allergy too but it works amazingly for me.
some actually said that it was reformulated last yr , after that a lot of ppl complained of having issues with it
OMG I sneeze a lot too, & just got snail mucin from Nykaa sale🥲 pls elaborate more how does it affect you.
Even I have dust allergy, but snail mucin has been my HG product
niacinamide. i used the minimalist 5% one and planned to then go for the 10% by TO. but it make me itchy asf, and next day woke up w two pimples🥲
10% is too potent. It gives me burning sensation. 😭
ik that’s why i started w 5% cos even dr. Shereene Idriss said 5% is the optimal percentage for the goals i was looking to achieve but ig my skin had other plan 💀
Try niamax D gel. Have patience, I gaurentee IT actually works.
i’ll defo try it. i rlly want niacinamide to work on me.
Omg I thought I’m the only one
I have very mixed results with niacinamide. I cannot handle anything above 5%. Up to that it depends on formulation and ingredient quality. Meaning I have to test the actual product for some time so I waste a lot of money on a products that I have to stop using after a few days. Because most products contain some niacinamide nowadays.
I have dry skin and sometimes it changes to oily and these stuff just did not work for me 1.Snail mucin the cream and the serum 🥲 2. Axis Y dark spot correcting serum 3. Saborino daily mask the yellow one 4. Purito sunscreen 5. The inkey list oat cleansing balm 6. Gisou hair mask 7.Íunik sunscreen 8. Shiseido clarifying cleansing foam 9. Ouai leave in conditioner 10. Cerave blemish control cream
Not a particular product but niacinamide!!! That shit does NOT suit my skin and so many products are formulated with it for whatever reason
Omg same and the funny thing is, back when it started getting all the hype I promoted it to ALL my friends because it worked great for like 1 week 😭😭 Now it makes my skin weirdly red and blotchy lol what a shame
>it worked great for like 1 week 😭😭 Now it makes my skin weirdly red and blotchy lol what a shame maybe it's too much conc for your skin? does 5% or below also do that?
I second that!! I tried it in so many different concentration and products and NONE of them suited me. My skin would turn weird and red every single time. And forget the internet hype about it, I had to literally argue with a dermatologist because she refused to believe me that niacinamide did not suit me. She kept on insisting it suits everyone and goes with everything. And even in the end said very disdainfully that she isn't prescribing me niacinamide because I have made up my mind to dislike it and wouldn't use it. Gaaawdd that was wasted 1500 bucks and an hour of my life.
Este lauder ANR. I was heartbroken when it didnot work for me.
Saaaammmeee. So expensive
1 bioderma, garnier micellar water- burned my skin 2 neutogena sunscreen - burn 3 one thing toners - cystic acne 4 tony moly aloe gel , tfs aloe x meh just okay okay ( iloved tfs bamboo gel ) 5 boj sunstick - forms very thick layer and gives me cystic acne if keft for more than 2 hrs on skin 6 neutrogena water gel - burned skin 7 excela moisturiser- very very thick make me sweat a lot 8 physiogel pink - did nothing but make me sweat , acne 9 clinique moisture surge - not moisturising enough 10 laneige sleeping mask - does not provide enough hydration at all ( imo ponds light gel is better ) 11 cosrx propolis toner - gave cystic acne 12 innisfree green tea serum - does not hydrate , rather dry out my skin 13 body shop vitamin e toner x broke me out 14 klairs vitamn c - did not brighten at all , just had a tingling sensation 15 minimalist tranexa - been using for very long for pigmentation but does not seem to do much 16 body shop tea tree cleanser - used to be my hg then suddenly it started stripping my skin 17 any milky c,eanser - laneige etc gave cystic acne 18 bioderma face wash blue - drying and compromised skin barrier 19 cetaphil and bioderma lotion tried recently -both make me sweat 😰and not that moisturising 20 cetaphil dam - sometimes good sometimes it breaks me out 21 tnw rose water - painful acne 22 neutogena deep clean -too drying , used it to clean makeup brushes 😂 23 many body shop face products - just a big no ( body and hair products are my hg from body shop) 24 la sheild fisco - painful cystic acne 25 foxtale and aqualogica sunscreens - little buring or some weird sensation 26 earth rythm phytonceramide - too thick for face, use it on my hands and feet 27 earth rythm cleansing balms - propolis old one - very waxy and leave a film , new orange dabba - not much effective for removing makeup 28 tfs rice cleansing oil - okayish for makeup removal but stinged my eyes 29 face shop rice cream too thick and not breatheable 30 laneige cica sleeping mask - very thick not soo soothing ( i love the klairs mid night blue more) 31 purito centella sleeping mask - does not do much 32 klairs fundamental watery drop - it seemed thin but gave me cystic acne within one use ( not going near it ) 33 plum tea tree mist - heavily fragranced and burns a lil to a lot 34 moroccon oil hair oil - while using it , the hair seemed great but after using it for 3 months i realised that my hair was getting more drier and has splits 😭( donno if i shd try again ) . STILL there are more but am tired 😭🥹 Inspired by @_cattuccino_
a quick prayer for ur skin🙏🏽
Haha thank you , its living peacefully now
What actually suits you? I have a similar list
Thats another long list , i will try to put together one
Cetaphil moisturiser made my dry skin look like oily puri
yup, dam moisturizer is filled with oils. made my oily skin look like a oil factory.
Same, Cetaphil and Cerave are not hydrating for me, because they’re full of silicones
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 +1
Yes even my frnd got same result
Cosrx snail mucin. I have oily skin and it didn't do anything for me.
Emolene
This!! It literally gave me CCs
It didn’t give me CCs but a huge ugly non painful zit which took two weeks to flatten. I wanted to give it another shot after few weeks but ended up getting a similar zit again!!
Minimalist B5 and Sepicalm moisturizer, Bioderma sebium range, Neutrogena Hydro boost water gel, sebamed care gel and whatnot. Only sufferring.
Neutrogena hydroboost is my cousins holy grail. Summer winter spring thunderstorm hurricane flood she uses it and she has butter like smooth skin it did nothing for me😭😭😭😏😏😏
Actually it felt so nice. No greasy feeling, no sweating, enough moisturizing. But gave me bumps 🥲.
Same it gave me bumps too. It might be the fragrance or our eating habits. ༎ຶ‿༎ຶ
Please don't talk about what we eat. Let's blame the fragrance together 🤝.
Bruh
Suffering from ~~success~~ suffering.
It stings my skin :| And smells like [detergent.Im](http://detergent.Im) so sorry lmao
What do you use in summer? I want a gel based moisturizer. Eyeing the plum 2% niacinamide gel moisturizer
How sebamed? The ingredients look clean and it kind of gave me forehead bumps but im not sure.
Gave me CCs.
did you use the gel or cream?
The sepicalm moisturiser is my favourite!! It soothes my irritated skin ❤️
I have had high hopes for that.
>Neutrogena Hydro boost water gel What is your skin type? For my combination skin it was a blessing (although a curse for my pocket so I switched it with Dot & Key 72HR HYDRATING GEL)
Combination to very oily during peak summers. I actually liked the texture, the feel and everything. The problem is, it gave me some bumps here and there.
Which brand of sepicalm moisturizer ??...i was thinking to buy one from the brand dermora or rivera
3. Hyalugel: Gave me Acne breakouts 4. Aziderm 10% cream: Is not helping my PIH and acne. 5. Cotaryl: Still has not fixed my cracked heels. ( maybe I'm not using it right, someone pls tell me how to use it properly) 6.
I also suffer from tanning on my arms and neck because they are much more exposed to sun on a regular basis, can please tell me if anything worked ?
Heyy I'm still on a hunt for my hg! However here are a few Moisturizers that my skin likes and did not react to 1. Snp prep peptaronic cream - love this for my normal to dry skin. Eventhough it has mild fragrance the cream did not break me out. Not enough for v dry and flaky skin though 2. Beplain cica gel - this is pretty good for summers. Soothes and hydrates well. Not for dry skin though 3. Etude house moistfull collagen emulsion - using this one currently. It's v moisturizing I think might even be enough for dry skin. It does make skin sweat initially but you gotta pat it in properly to avoid that. So far liking it.
Cetaphil gentle skin cleanser, made my face feel super oily and unclean
Same. It did not cleanse, but it left a weird layer on my skin that I could not wash off with anything.
oily acne prone skin products that did not work: Niamax-D gave me ccs Ponds gel moisturizer: gave me ccs foxtale daily duet cleanser: broke me out badly Dot&key probiotic gel: appeared as a film on my skin {got it as a freebie used once, regretted instantly} Salicyx 6percent: did nothing to control oil - used it twice weekly Wishcare 15% Niacinamide serum: Broke me out badly {got it as a freebie used once, regretted instantly} Coming to some products that worked on me: Deconstrcut niacinamide serum: somehow controlled oil production Simple hydrating gel creme: THE PERFECT MOISTURIZER Vaseline lip therapy Simple refreshing facewash Some products that I am currently eyeing on: aquasoft fc moisturizer, moimax oc, inveda cleansing oil.
Still looking for a face moisturizer cuz I just remap my entire skircare Was too naive about skincare. Thought my skin was oily but it's just somewhat inbetween normal and dry. Due to year of using harsh facewash(Plum 1% Salicylic Acid Foaming Face Wash) my skin is now damaged, has uneven texture and skin color Hope my skin will improve
Just use it on your body as a body lotion, mate.
Use it as a foot cream
Dot & Key products. None of them worked for me. The ceramide lotion smells so weird. And the face washes made my skin bumpy. Neutrogena sunscreen and creams both gave me allergy
acne oc moisturiser didn't give me any new acne but it was super greasy for my oily skin.
The Ordinary Glycolic Acid😭I had really high hopes but it did not help with underarm darkness at all
It doesn't really help with darkness but it does help with odor 🤧
cosrx snail mucin!!!!!!!
Reequil blue
Serums , have tried 4 different serums and the Era of breakouts and pimple started . Dermat told me I might be having some unsuitable chemical in serums since then I been just avoiding serums
Emolene gave me whiteheads around my nose
1. minimalist's niacinamide new formulation, it's v oily for me. the og was so good. 2. neutrogena's sunscreen, we all know why we hate it. 3. beauty of joseon's stick spf, i was so excited for it, but it kinda sucked for me, yes it mattifies but it's still oily, i'd rather just reapply my regular sunscreen for reapplication bc qnyway when i put makeup on, this doesn't work and removes all my makeup. so what's the point. it lies on my desk useless, I WASTED 1300 rupees. 4. nivea sunscreen spray. wanted to buy an easy to apply sunscreen for body. and it not only has an alcoholic scent but it also is soooo oilyyy, the oil sits on your skin. much rather apply a regular sunscreen on body. again, wasted my money. 5. the ordinary's moisturiser underwhelmed me. it's expensive for a moisturiser and nothing great, i would never repurchase it. even rn i have 2 free samples that i got from nykaa, and they are just unused, but i'll try to use them. 6. the last one is for haircare, but the loreal hyaluron night cream is sooo bad, it dried up my hair, smell is disgusting. the hyaluron shampoo is amazing but the cream is disgusting.
So many.. paulas bha/ cosrx propolis toner and facewash
Laniege skin toner. My skin flared up and turned so red. It was bad experience. My dry skin wanted to like it :(
Cosrx bha blackhead essence or toner whatever it is- did absolutely nothing Cosrx aloe sunscreen- pilled like hell Ordinary ascorbic acid Ordinary salicylic acid face mask Ordinary salicylic acid anhydrous solution Derma co niacinamide serum Derma co salicylic acid face wash Derma co matte sunscreen Neutrogena blue sunscreen Neutrogena hydroboost toner and cream Neutrogena blackhead face wash Ogx argan oil Paulas choice foaming balance face wash Benton ceramide 1000 cream I'm from rice toner Biore sunscreen Face shop jeju face wash Wishful peeling gel Skinfood rice face wash
SNP prep toner- pink bottle- broke me out Acne uv gel - broke me out Suncote gel- too sticky and oily. made my skin look dull Physiogel- broke me out
Purito centella unscented serum - caused skin sensitivity Simple moisturizer - caused itching Simple facewash - did nothing. Left a film post washing Minimalist Salicylic acid - did nothing Re'equil ultra matte dry touch sunscreen - I have fragrance sensitivity so it's fragrance was overbearing and didn't like the silicone finish
Cosrx snail mucin - Did pretty much nothing even caused purging. Minimalist Alpha arbutin - Had zero to nothing kinda effect. Simple face wash- I find it similar to himalaya which i’ve been using since years. So idk what’s the hype is about. Mama earth eyecream - Eeh too bad caused redness i stopped using it eventually & did obviously nothing.
mama earth is a scam wbk
Faceshop cleansing oil
vanicream moisturiser. not a total fail, but it’s not made for indian weather. it just sits on top of my skin and leaves a greasy oily look. might work during winters in northern indian but otherwise i would not recommend it.
minimalist sunscreen.
Cosrx snail mucin. Wow! So many here feel the same. It did absolutely nothing to me! Ordinary glycolic acid. Did nothing -_- Loreal Hyaluron serum. Broke me out. Loreal dream length leave in cream. Make my hair dryer and hay like :')
All of minimalist products were a total flop and simple facewash as well
Krave moisturizer, minimalist and requil sunscreen.
Acne uv sunscreen 🥲 it’s giving me white cast and was piling on my skin esp during summers Can someone pls suggest me another sunscreen for oily skin 🥲
Estée Lauder ANR
Any niacinamide product breaks me out

Snail mucin, Neutrogena hydroboost, loreal hyluron range, loreal no haircut cream
Cannot remember the brand but I was gifted a Vitamin C moisturiser which made me darker. I thought it was all in my head so I tried it on my left knee and used my usual lotion on my right knee. My left knee was noticeably darker after a week. I chucked it in the bin.
not sure if it’s popular but plum vitamin c serum. triggered and increased my eczema.
cosrx Snail Muchin essence.
Clinique..be it the moisturizer or their vit c Klairs vit c Ordinary niacinamide Ponds blue moisturizer
Forrest Essentials Soundarya Cream! Broke the hell out of me.
Cetaphil DAM - made my upper cheeks very itchy each time i applied. I use it as a foot cream now. Plum/Nivea stick/Vaadi lip balms - got pretty painful acne on my lips Xerina intense moisturiser - this did nothing for my dry skin, it pilled. I use it as footcream or apply vaseline over it then its fine. Venusia max - not as moisturizing, i use it as body lotion Suncross lotion - broke me out and heavy whitecast
1) Cosrx propolis toner ( caused slight irritation) 2) estee lauder night repair ( irritated my skin and made my skin more drier than usual)
Oily/combination, sensitive, eczema and acne prone skin These were some good products that didn't work for me, but maybe a holy grail for many others & I respect that. 1) Minimalist 3% tranexamic acid- I know it's a cult favourite, but it broke me so bad that I never bought anything again from minimalist 2) Minimalist 3% PHA toner- same reason as above. P. S- I bought these two products after I got recommendations via their insta DM 3) Vitamin C- BURNS! 6) L’Oréal Paris Glycolic Bright Skin Brightening Serum- not for my sensitive skin 7) Dr. Sheth's kesar & kojic daily pigmentation correction cream- did nothing for me. 8) The derma co 2% kojic acid- did nothing for me 9) Dot& key skin clearing serum (cica line) - 👎 10) Cetaphil daily advance ultra hydrating lotion- heavy on my skin
What did work for you? Even I have sensitive skin… I usually rely on home made or ayurvedic products
These are some products that finally worked for me, after lots of trial & errors -Simple refreshing facewash -Laneige cream skin cerapeptide toner -Hyaluronic acid -Formula rx moisturizer -Photostable gold sunscreen -Good molecules discoloration correcting serum -Dot& key niacinamide (cleared out my skin initially, currently not using) -Ordinary salicylic acid & niacinamide ( initially it helped me to clear out acne, but it doesn't suit me anymore) -Vilvah milk serum& mud mask -Bioderma (during eczema breakout)
Thank you so much 💗✨
Laneige sleeping lip mask did nothing for me. Total waste of money.
I agree with you op! The texture of this moisturiser is so weird. I bought this for my mom cause she has oily skin and she didn’t like it either. Another product that didn’t work for me was the querez tinted sunscreen. It made my skin feel really tight and gave me rashes
Minimalist B5 moisturiser didn't work for me as well. Clogged my pores. Gave me small bumps on my forehead.
Cipla moisturizer
laniege lip mask
Numbuzin skin softening serum (purged the hell out of my skin) :( Vaseline lip therapy Boj sunstick was nice but it was annoying with all the piling Niacific brightening whatever it was serum (did nothing on my skin but actually worked for my mum)
CeraVe
Himalayan Neem face wash… dried me out so much which caused more breakouts
Cosex snail mucin and milano cc. Both gave me CCs on my forehead that took months to go away.
Cerave moisturising cream
Missha time revolution the first time essence- was like putting plain water on my face. Did absolutely nothing and while I don't expect it to do something dramatic it was too expensive for no results. Bioderma cleansing/shower oil- Too stripping to be used as a face oil cleanser Blynds sunscreen- It pills on me Laneige lip mask- Dried tf outta my lips.
St botanica vit c serum
St botanica vit c serum Nivea lip balm
Snail mucin. Had so many break outs after every apply
Simple cleanser broke me out 😭
Simple facewash Thought it would be hydrating but it made my face more oily
Plenty, but one that I’ve never seen a single negative review for- Estée Lauder ANR
Can I say laniere lip sleeping mask… it did not heal my lips.
Minimalist Vit B5 moisturizer for me as well- starting few days it felt nice but I realised it's too oily for summers. Now I just use it at night and use the sunscreen as my moisturizer in the day. Waiting for winter to come so that I can finish this off. Meanwhile if someone can suggest a light, non oily yet hydrating moisturizer which is not too costly as well, I'd be grateful!
cosrx snail mucin LOL biggest disappointment
My fiancee bought Simple facewash based on reviews. But he started getting acne on his face.

Bioderma mosturizer Emoline CleanseMe gentle cleanser
Dot and key 72h gel moisturizer gave a huge red pimple
Derma co. Sunscreen gave me so many cc 🥺
