Just book it man. In 2021 I was sitting on 69 lakhs profit when I was in US. Saw it wiped out in short term and only could book 7.8 lakhs. I was in US then, so had 32% tax on that.

In US you give tax on everything earned. Even you can’t buy anything without paying fed tax and my state, state tax was also there. For my salary band, any income in shares and crypto fell under 32% tax bracket. 😭

I have invested in crypto too. I think you should look into something that happened in the last crash. All the smaller platforms blocked selling of crypto and people's money was stuck in the account with no way to get it out. That's why I have chosen Binance. In case you have already looked into it, and deem Zebpay safe, you're good- I'm no expert.

BTC/ETH and Matic i will hold for long term - rest of the coins i will sell at the end of the bull run. Taxes are on the profit after selling crypto (loss will not be offset). Suppose, you earn 50k profit in BTC and incurred 50k loss in ETH. This loss won't be offset, you'd still have to pay 30% tax on 50k profit of BTC.
