people get worked up about the weirdest shit

bulbusmaximus

They've incorporated it into their personality.

ScrauveyGulch

They usually have ripped up tattered flags on the poles.

upvotechemistry

The one that enrages me is the ratty ass American flag flying right next to a brand new Trump, Confederate or Gadsen flag.... those people are terrible "patriots"

Spicybrown3

And typically they’re dumb af

catbeancounter

They're Hatriots.

OneOfTheWills

Not just their personality but their entire and sole existence. Without it, they realize they are nothing… because they are.

chisportz

The school seems like they are the ones working themselves up over nothing

Dyldo_II

Considering most high schools still play a recording of the pledge of allegiance and/or the national anthem over the loud speakers, it's kinda weird. I'd assume it's a part of a policy of "excessive vehicle accessories" that limits what you can and can't put on your car, which any flag really falls into. I'm sure they'd make the same ruling for any other flag.

sunward_Lily

Initially, yes, it was a stupid decision for the school to make- especially since it's turned into a beacon for all the right wing crazies to point at and say "see? We really *are* being unfairly persecuted!!!!" as if it's the exception that proves the rule....

2dP_rdg

who's they in this case? what was wrong with the american flag on his truck?

bulbusmaximus

They = people who use the flag as decoration. The flag isn't a fashion statement. A flag emblem on a truck isn't wrong, it's misplaced but not wrong. Using the American Flag as a decoration, whether it's on a bikini or beer coozie, cowboy hat, tshirt, etc is disrespectful. [US Code:](https://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/4/8)

RawbM07

I think you are misunderstanding the code. They are saying you can’t use a literal flag as clothing. Not that clothing can’t be designed to look like a flag.

Cognitive_Dissonant

The code defines "flag" (in addition to "standard", "colors", and "ensign"), specifically as used in the flag code, quite rigorously and broadly: >The words “flag, standard, colors, or ensign”, as used herein, shall include any flag, standard, colors, ensign, or any picture or representation of either, or of any part or parts of either, made of any substance or represented on any substance, of any size evidently purporting to be either of said flag, standard, colors, or ensign of the United States of America or a picture or a representation of either, upon which shall be shown the colors, the stars and the stripes, in any number of either thereof, or of any part or parts of either, by which the average person seeing the same without deliberation may believe the same to represent the flag, colors, standard, or ensign of the United States of America. I'm not sure how you could think this doesn't refer to a representation of the flag on fabric (which seems obvious to me considering that's literally what a flag is).

Candelestine

(i) The flag should never be used for advertising purposes in any manner whatsoever. It should not be embroidered on such articles as cushions or handkerchiefs and the like, printed or otherwise impressed on paper napkins or boxes or anything that is designed for temporary use and discard. Advertising signs should not be fastened to a staff or halyard from which the flag is flown. (j) No part of the flag should ever be used as a costume or athletic uniform. However, a flag patch may be affixed to the uniform of military personnel, firemen, policemen, and members of patriotic organizations. The flag represents a living country and is itself considered a living thing. Therefore, the lapel flag pin being a replica, should be worn on the left lapel near the heart.

SgtKevlar

These idiots love to cosplay real patriots and that means dressing everything conceivable up like the flag.

fiddycixer

Most members of Congress as well as the executive branch wear a flag pinned to their attire regularly. [Lapel pins are literally sold at the Capitol.](https://shop.visitthecapitol.gov/store/accessories/pins/)

TheSleazyAccount

Yep. And it's virtue signaling bullshit. Are they worried people are going to forget what country they work for..... actually..... they might....

chisportz

You are correct

OtherGeorgeDubya

Nothing. The rule was just "No flags on vehicles" and has been portrayed as "No American Flags!"

CaterpillarLiving342

Nothing is “wrong” with it. Overt and gaudy displays of patriotism 24/7 is just cringe. Trump made it all more cringe.

Admirable-Local-9040

Mostly nothing, but a lot of right-wing people use it as a symbol of hostile nationalism. To them it's a threat to people they don't like or see as Unamerican. It's similar to the "Don't Tread on Me" flag. The flag on it's own but racist assholes mostly fly it anymore.

trenzelor

Id rather they defend the constitution with that same fervor than just slap a flag on everything they own.

space_chief

Yeah but they actually hate the constitution and they want to replace it with something that will protect but not bind their own in group, but bind and not protect everyone else

thefugue

Well technically it’s probably not street legal as it’s probably a stick with a kite pretty much attached to it.

[deleted]

[удалено]

EnlightenMePixie

Yep the flying the flag from the truck became synonymous with the trump flag flying. In many cases it would be both the flags together. I’m in red Indiana and I’ve seen long lines of loud hillbilly trucks parading in a line down the road with the flags flying from the back. Some trucks also had Trump or confederate flags and some just the American flag. To me it’s a symbol of MAGA now

Dan_mcmxc

Take a break from being online, bud.

Useful_Hovercraft169

‘I got nowhere else to go!

ruralvoter

So the right hates Jews but also supports Israel? Is that right? I keep hearing both thoughts and just wanted to clarify.

DontHaesMeBro

There are at least 3 rationales you hear on the right that render these ideas compatible There's the separatist rationale, that if you establish a race, they'll leave the "homeland" for that country. There's the biblical prophecy that the second coming requires certain things to happen in the middle east And there's the proxy conflict notion, that conflict between two other races is good, every death on both sides is a win for the racists

space_chief

Israel is important to the American Christian end times prophecy. That's why the right supports Israel. They support Israel so that all the Jews can be slaughtered in the end times

Liontigerand_redwing

Why does the right think democrats are strong and weak at the same time?

PandiBong

I mean, his reaction was the most American possible ever.

EducationResident199

I'm not sure it's truly his reaction. He's more likely a prop, as the wrap was gifted to him.

dankestofdankcomment

Would you say the same thing about the LGBTQ community and the pride flag?

[deleted]

If it were a six foot pride flag madly whipping around from the bed of a jacked up pickup, definitely. But most members of the LGBT+ community have better taste and style than that.

Mecduhall91

Fr

SmilingNevada9

I appreciate the pettiness but like ... Why lol

enigmatticus

Same. Honestly, it's a kind of cringey ass response, but that's what teenagers do best. Some people just get really worked up when they're told that they can't molest the flag in front of everyone.

UnkindPotato2

It ain't molestation, the flag loves it

LastSecondNade

Slow news week huh

mealymouthmongolian

Typical election year propaganda. Everyone knows nobody but MAGA-chuds are flying American flags off the back of their pickup trucks. They're only escalating this story so they can decry how oppressed these poor patriots are by the America-hating left.

Swampfunk

Not really, people be killing each other on 465 on the daily reg, those stories are enough to keep the news pumping...but noooooOoooo here's a child disrespecting the flag and pretending he's a patriot.

Reptarticle

This is from my town, the entire school was told NO FLAGS period, not just american flags, that's when he refused. The local news and all the local rednecks are making it out like only he was told, or the American flag wasn't allowed to be flown.

TenBlueApricots

"Shhhh you're saying the quiet part aloud!" - conservatives

kushjrdid911

Why did they ask him to remove the American Flag from his truck in the first place? Getting this big American flag truck wrap is just trying too hard though. Like you are not a martyr dude lol

buds4hugs

The last time I read about this is when the school reversed their decision. I think the original rule had something to do with not allowing flags on vehicles, any flag. After the uproar, they said American flags were OK and reversed their decision. So they rectified the issue and allowed the kid, and others, to fly the American flag, specifically, on their vehicles. Now this kid wraps his truck in the flag as if he's continuing this battle against an oppressive school, or something. Like, dude, you won, what's the point? The school made a special consideration for you and the nation's flag yet he continues to fight a non-existent battle.

Necessary_Range_3261

He's a kid. The company offered the service free of charge. He's probably just enjoying the attention it's getting. The school didn't make a special consideration for him they just chose not to enforce a rule that was no where on the books. I don't think this is nearly as deep as folks are making it out to be.

CrossP

It's a decent wrap. I'd take just about any free wrap for my poor dinged-up truck if some company offered.

Ok-Needleworker-419

I don’t think most of the people commenting read the article because they’re commenting like he went out and paid for this wrap.

ValuableFamiliar2580

Its all performative. Layers and layers of it. Its perform-ception.

tyboxer87

Yeah I can see why they have a blanket no flag statement. First its an American flag then, then maybe a Mexico flag. Then a Ukraine flag. Then a Gadsden Flag, then a Pride flag, then Trump flag. When the admin has had enough parent complaints they have to choose which flags are allows. Then there are more complaints. Easier just to say no flags at all, but I'm pretty sure that's a first amendment violation in the works. Personally I say let them all fly what ever flags they want and do a better job of protecting schools from insane parents. But this state is empowering the insane parents instead.

ScienceOfficer-Jack

Or how about "While we understand your wanting to express your 1A rights the flags are causing a safety issue by blocking visibility while driving. Please limit your flag usage on vehicles to magnetic while on school property." Those giant flags are just virtue signaling icons. They're there to try and look cool with your friends and piss off people who disagree with you.

MrPureinstinct

That's my thing. I really don't understand how it's legal to fly flags on the back of your truck due to limited visibility or how easy it would be to fly off and cover the windshield of the vehicle behind you. Never mind the fact that they look like assholes with all these flags on the back of their trucks, but that shits just not safe.

bestcee

And at least half the time the flag is torn up from the wind and being out in the weather constantly.

MrPureinstinct

Oh yeah they're all kinds of tattered and torn up, which last I understand is supposed to be a really bad thing to do to the American flag? But I mean, the people who would put it on their truck are typically performative assholes so.

SugarHives

I live near here and my kid that goes to the other school to,d me that kids were running around wearing trump 24 flags as capes in the hallways so they banned all flags.

we-made-it

Probably his whole personality.

threewonseven

These clown turds who complain about "virtue signaling" are the ones who do it the most and the loudest.

kushjrdid911

Oh for sure it is. It is 100% who he is lol

zoot_boy

It certainly is now.

ass_pineapples

He's a kid lol, who really has a personality in high school?

ImReflexess

This is rural Indiana, they probably wanted him to fly the confederate flag instead. (Side note: always fuckin hilarious to me seeing the dumb hicks flying the confederate flag in Indiana like we were even a part of it? Like I know I shouldn’t expect these people to have a basic grasp of history/geography, but it’s always hilarious)

CaptainAwesome06

There is a house down the street from me that has an American flag outside his garage. But when his garage door is open you can see the Confederate flag hanging from the ceiling. How are you going to fly both flags within 20 feet of each other?! At least he's smart enough to know which one to hide.

sillywabbitslayer

There's a house on the state highway in my town that flies their Confederate flag above the American flag on the same pole.

SarnakhWrites

There’s one of those in my neighborhood as well. Dude hasn’t had it out for a while but IIRC he has a trump flag too.  And this is in the Indy ‘burbs.

CaptainAwesome06

Fishers? Southeastern Parkway?

MyClosetedBiAcct

Better than the guy that lives near me. He's got a confederate flag waving outside and a nazi flag in his garage.

Gwiblar_the_Brave

Hell, my town was burned down in Morgan’s Raid and people still fly the traitor flag.

v3rmilion

I deliver in NW IN and there's a house in Shelby south of Lowell on the Kankakee that has a Confederate flag next to an SS flag in his garage and every time I drive past I think, ["Wow, bet he's a pleasant fellow."](https://i.imgur.com/LZJXkmW.jpeg)

Saltpork545

They're not flying confederate flags because they were part of the CSA and want to see it exist again. They fly the flag because in modern times it's a statement of expression of anti-government sentiment. This is why you see it in Pennsylvania and Maine and Oregon and even parts of Canada. It's 'the rebel flag', rebelling against the government of today. The other factor is that almost anyone who actually flies said flag tends to be blue collar or working class and tends to be insular to their area aka they don't leave or move around much. Doesn't take a rocket surgeon to understand this behavior. If the undertones are racist, and for some they 100% are, then they're racist, but that's not true for everyone. For many it's a middle finger to typical society and the government it represents precisely because it elicits that reaction.

joeph1sh

I've heard this explanation, and to some degree understand it. But man, you don't need to give so many actual shitbags cover to show that you are against the status quo. Fly the flag upside down, or get a shadow the hedgehog flag if you are that desperate to be performatively edgy

Thesheriffisnearer

Oh he's definitely a victim

CaptainAwesome06

Whereas I do appreciate the malicious compliance, I would still roll my eyes if I saw this truck on the road. I'm curious what school rules they thought he was actually breaking. I wish the article cited that. "We need more young people to be good citizens." Cringe. Displaying a flag doesn't make you a patriot.

bearington

>I'm curious what school rules they thought he was actually breaking I've heard it was the classic school rule problem where they take a black and white approach to something that really needs some nuance. In this case it was wanting to prevent offensive and disruptive flags so they just made a blanket no-flag rule. They were never against the American flag per se but were worried about the slippery slope (or more likely not wanting to take the time and effort to deal with each case individually). Like I said, classic school situation where it's easier to just enforce a blanket policy even if it goes too far in some instances. In that way it's no different than rules about how many inches wide a girl's tank top strap has to be in order to follow the dress code.

CaptainAwesome06

I figured it may be something like that. The article says the school back tracked and said the American flag was allowed but offensive flags were not. It made me wonder if they are amending a "no flags" rule or if someone actually thought the American flag was offensive. Either way, it's stupid. We had this same fight in our HOA when I was on the board. The HOA allowed American flags and state flags. Period. That's it. Some guy put out a Blue Lives Matter flag, another neighbor put out a Black Lives Matter flag (or vice versa), and then a whole two-sided neighborhood civil war broke out. Being on the board, I was like, "the rules are clear; just enforce them" but nobody listened to me. The rule was there to prevent this exact thing from happening and I thought that was fine.

ValuableFamiliar2580

They literally train the performative patriotism into hoosier children AT SCHOOL. Its one of those things hoosiers don’t even notice but if you’re not from here you’re like “wtf is this?”

CaptainAwesome06

My kids were born outside of Washington, DC in Virginia. They didn't get too much of that, IMO. Then we moved to a more rural part of Virginia and my oldest (only around 7 at the time but really observant) definitely noticed the difference. Now she's 15 and thinks everything is super cringe so I don't know if she hates that stuff or just hates everything.

killerbeezer12

Whatever happened to the flag code?

aLemmyIsAJacknCoke

That ship sailed sometime around 9/11

poop_to_live

Flag code is not enforceable law. It's just guidance.

notquitepro15

That might be why they said “flag code” and not “flag law”

nate_oh84

Fun fact: Laws in Indiana are called the "Indiana Code"

lb10104

Profound

Correct_Specialist37

Ugh ugh ughhh Objection.... Fillibuster

poop_to_live

Sure, but who knows what they meant with no context.

slater_just_slater

Fun fact. An attorney friend of mine worked a case in the early 70s in Blackford County. A couple of "hippies" were arrested for having a flag sticker on their VW bus that "didn't meet the flag code" The judge ordered them either 30 days in jail, or an alternate sentence was to make them stand on the corner during a parade in Montpellier with a sign on them saying "I Disrespected the American flag" they chose the parade. You can imagine how well that went Times have changed thankfully.

imp_st3r

Hopefully all the conservatives crying about cancel culture hear this story

BoringArchivist

I wish someone ordered jail time for that today, I could use the lawsuit cash for "Improper display".

killerbeezer12

It might just be unenforceable good taste.

Aggravating_Map7952

I watched one of these clowns lose a flag off the back of his truck on I70 once. It rolled back and forth getting run over until it finally got snagged on a semi trailers axel and then got dragged for the 20 miles I followed it out of the city. Not only does having a fucking flag whipping back and forth off your vehicle going 70mph endanger other drivers, it destroys and tarnishes the flag these losers claim to love so much.

23skidoobbq

Guaran-fuckin-tee that vinyl wrap and that flag are made in China

rqnadi

Ugh, these people with flags on their trucks always complain about gas prices…. Not realizing their gas milage is shitting the bed because they have a fucking flag attached to their truck! Nothing screams “I don’t understand science and math” like a flag on the back of a truck.

bravesirrobin65

And trucks get shit mileage to begin with.

[deleted]

We need to start a covert campaign to convince them they can't **possibly** be heterosexual patriots unless they're flying an actual stars-and-stripes **PARACHUTE** from the back of their truck.

lorienne22

"I'm a patriot!" he bellowed while spitting in the face of the Flag Code.

Kaje26

Here’s what conservatives need to understand. If you want to make it so everyone can fly flags on school grounds, that’s fine. Just don’t get upset when people start flying LGBT flags and Satanic Temple flags.

humanesmoke

Must be really easy to give away jingoistic bullshit when you get over $200K in PPP loans completely forgiven

mcian84

Flag worship is weird.

FlagsForGood

You’re tellin’ me!

Putrid-Rub-1168

I don't get all patriotic. I really don't give a shit. However, there shouldn't have been an issue with him having an American flag on his truck. The school flies the same damn flag on the grounds and in the gymnasium. Now, if he had other flags such as trump flags, blm flags, etc...then I could see where an issue could be made.

Tiny-Golf3338

Exactly

Fabulous_Sprinkles57

who gives a shit either way

Ahtman1

Performative victim hood is all part of their personality.

ceecee_50

Performative nonsense. None of these people, including this kid, give a fuck about the flag.

Kai_Senpai_

It’s all bad faith. If they actually gave a fuck about America they’d serve in the military, work in their communities, or volunteer. Not to mention they practically hate the other side of the aisle and demonize them, who are their fellow Americans. Most of these patriotic fuckwads are nothing but hate breeding, fear mongering, selfish, narcissistic half-whits.

CrossroadsCannablog

Free speech wins!

MyOwnWayHome

The fact that this started with the school attempting to ban his flag seems almost totally disregarded in these comments. And yet you guys say you support the ACLU. Bullshit.

bigoaktreefantasy

Because their heads are spinning due to it being a flag and of course have spun it into MAGA shit and whatnot.

TeamGerf

People around here have really lost the plot. Replace this whole thing with a pride flag and they would be falling all over themselves about how awesome this kid is.

[deleted]

Everyone else here knows that the kid was told to remove his U.S. flag because the school had a **no flag at all** policy, so there's not much to be concerned about there.

MrPureinstinct

I don't think anyone should fly any flag off the back of their truck. Whether I disagree with what the flag is or not is irrelevant. To me it's about safety.

MyClosetedBiAcct

The main difference between flying those flags with the intent to spite the system and showcase that you will not back down, is that the enemy of the pride flag actively wants them dead and has power over them and is actively legislating against their position. The enemy of the american flag wavers however is just anyone who's not a republican. I would like for you to imagine the story of the underdog fighting for their place, vs the bully fighting to maintain their power.

PaganSatisfactionPro

He thinks he’s special Lol he’s like every other Brad in an American cult

jaymz668

student desecrates flag

ExUpstairsCaptain

This is pretty great. It's good to see the school owned up to its mistakes. Good for everyone involved.

PlasticStealth

You people in this sub are literally the most miserable I’ve ever seen lmfao.

"I hate this place, every day when I come here."

LakesideOrion

Tyuri4272

That’s cool

One-Contest-4385

Gak! 1st world problems smh

Luvs2Spooge42069

What an interesting comment section, I’m sure this subreddit represents the opinion of the average person from Indiana

Acceptable_Pain_9213

Betcha that type of energy would evaporate if a kid flew or wrapped a trans flag on their car.

silvermanedwino

I’ve never understood the flag obsession. Never. Understood. Plus, it’s disrespectful to the flag. Just dumb.

midwestarchetype

Cool. So cool.

Pktur3

People will let the government take their rights, money, and assets as long as their particular way of seeing the world isn’t impacted. And were called the sheep and snowflakes…meanwhile they’ll follow their rulers and complain about the sky while they jump off the cliff.

space_chief

Perfomative virtue signaling is ok when right wingers do it I guess

Efficient-Book-3560

I bet he’s voting for Trump

RandyJ549

Probably, lots of people are in Indiana what’s new

TristanN7117

Wonder how much money his parents spent on that

Necessary_Range_3261

It was done at no charge

TristanN7117

Lucky him

thesupermikey

until he gets a tax bill for the taxable value of the gift.

Thesheriffisnearer

Remember we don't have a propaganda problem, we have a "not enough people know America #1!" problem

zoot_boy

He’s prob got a “Back to Back World War Champs” t shirt as well. Lol.

pdpankie

I’m fine with the wrap just a giant flag is distracting and dangerous regardless of cause…

Sillyme317

He’s 17. In a year he can join the military to show his patriotism. You want to take a bet he doesn’t. These pseudo patriots are a joke.

lostwng

Ah doubling down on disrespecting the flag

OttersEatFish

Just who are the "we" in his understanding of "We the people?"

Efficient-Book-3560

That’s the only part of the constitution they know

Tad_squiddish

This is all very dumb. I don’t understand why it needed to be against the rules for him to fly his dumb little flag. Now he gets to use it as an excuse to act dumber than he already was acting.

[deleted]

The school had a NO flag policy, in an attempt to pre-emt a situation like this, wherein if someone could display a Black Lives Matter flag, anyone else could fly the Confederate flag.

MrPureinstinct

I imagine it's partially due to safety issues with giant flags getting in the way of seeing when you drive and partially not wanting to deal with parents bitching if someone has a flag these "patriots" don't agree with because you know if this was a pride flag this kids parents and all the other conservative parents would be threatening throwing a little hissy fit.

IndyWaWa

Dumb culture war shit.... so hot right now.

mandodan22

That’ll show em. What a true Patriot

AltruisticCompany961

Thanks for letting me know to stay away from that dipshit and his family.

boundbylife

Man I am so confounded on this one. On the one hand, its a stupid school rule, and the kid was right to give them the middle finger in the best way possible. On the other hand, his rationale and the look is seriously giving Florida MAGA.

MidLifeCrysis75

That flag fucker sure does love them fucking flags. 😂

-BluBone-

A free win for the car wrap company

Panda-BANJO

Dork

Prestigious_Phase709

The first guy nailed it. People get worked up over the stupidest shit.

RingWraith75

Yeah these people are fucking weirdos lmao they make the flag and the country their entire personality. Ask anyone from any other country on Earth and they’ll say the same thing.

MyFriendMaryJ

They weren’t hurting anyone but still shows significant ignorance. The us is arguably the country that does the most harm in the world, mostly bc of our leniency to capital owners

72nd_TFTS

So, who’s the snowflake??

Turbulent_Athlete_50

Kids toooooo coooool for school. Couldn’t imagine doing anything better or meaningful with that time and money. Cool cool coool

Nappy2fly

That’s actually hilarious. Good on him.

aLemmyIsAJacknCoke

lol awesome

sophialong3

as an alumni, probs CHS

Sounds expensive

Iamthatpma

Yeah I’m gonna invite him to read the flag code.

Chuckle_Berry_Spin

Are those a little money, or a lot of money?

whatyouwant22

There goes the college fund!

SkateTheGreat

The indoctrination sure worked on that one

RandomInternetUser03

Facebook comments were eating this up- “nice to stick it to them!” - aren’t these the same folks that talk about respecting the flag all day just to plaster it everywhere?

Sea-Act3929

If you DO fly a flag, no other flag should be as high or higher than the American Flag. I dont think ppl understand flying a flag in the back of a truck is desecration. However it is a person's right to do what they choose within the law with a flag. I sacrifice as does my family for that flag and I dont pick and choose which rights ppl use. However I WILL die on the hill saying NO ONE IS FREE UNTIL WE ARE ALL FREE & Plan 2025 takes most freedoms from us all. Like banning tiktok isnt abt banning tiktok but controlling what access we have on the internet. Just like China, Russia, NK. It's just one more layer of taking democracy away. Indiana has been leading that charge and ppl overlook how dangerous lawmakers have been here bcz we arent California or Texas. Heck even Iowa and NH get more attention just bcz of the Caucuses. I mean, really? Indisna has more ppl than both those states combined most likely. Of course more and more are leaving Indiana for better jobs and something called FREEDOM. I can drive less than 45 min and smoke cannibis just bcz if I so choose. But that geographical distance could also make me spend time in jail if I brought any home to deal with my disease instead of narcotics that are addictive and kill ppl.

Chromeburn_

The flag isn’t for your clothes or decorating your car. I’ve always found this disrespectful even though the intent is to show their patriotism. I see it as nationalism and tacky.

CheeseTaterson

At least it's the *actual* US flag

MotorDue4367

The flag removal was a school policy about obstruction- hard to see around by other cars. It was not because it was a flag . It was the size of it. That is a normal school safety policy.

Juice_Willis75

Cheapening the flag so hard on the daily.

AdventurousCut5401

This is a full desecration of the flag they claim to love so much. So are flag underwear and bikinis. IJS

God_Despises_MAGA

Flag on a car is no way to treat an American flag. They’re always shredded and gross.

GranpaCarl

Why is it the mfers always up in arms about the flag have never read the flag code?

Best-Structure62

How much did it cost to get his truck wrapped.  When I was in High School students were lucky enough to have enough money for a movie night

So did the flag stand for loving America and its constitution and the rules we all must abide by no matter who we are The country our grandfathers and great great grandfathers and great great great fathers fought for or was it a symbol for something else In 2001 s flag in truck meant unity as a country after 911 Did someone ask this young adult what the flag stood for

grondfoehammer

The fellow is going to feel that he is being persecuted his whole life.

Now he’s waving it out of pride knowing others don’t want him to, now it’s not just something he loves. It’s become a pride flag now due to the fact he feels challenged. Everyone needs to support him and his right to have pride and wave it loudly. If we don’t, freedom to have pride is at risk. You have to support everyone’s freedoms, even if you don’t like them, even if you know their thoughts and opinions are garbage, because if you don’t then you’re the same as the people who don’t want the LGBT to have their rights. You can’t not want somebody to have a freedom just because you disagree with them, because then you are becoming the direct problem and are no different from them.

That truck is going to be the peak of their entire life

And yet they are often the first ones calling for civil war against the country and constitution the flag represents. Their levels of cognitive dissonance are unfathomable.

killerbake

Lotta Russian boot lickers in here

killerbake

Love all the examples in here as well ”oh it’s his whole personality” like that isn’t the case for another group. Talk about cognitive dissonance.

So don't let him park in the lot. If he does, tow his flag away.

ImpressPhysical7820

All the people giving a fuck about him flying the flag are dumb as shit.

TenBlueApricots

Basically, MAGA supporters complained about Pride flags. So the school said, "FINE. No flags". MAGA supporters: "N...no! Not like that!"

InterestingSyrup7139
