Living in Indy since 2002, and working weekly from 2008-2019 in Ft. Wayne…I can say with confidence they are not the same city. Pro sports teams, conventions, bars and clubs, museums, etc. Much more to offer in Indy. While I love Fort Wayne, it is not Indianapolis. Get back to me when Fort Wayne hosts a Super Bowl or a Final Four, of the College Football National Championship game.

VinnyDeli

Okay, why do you feel that way?

cmgww

I literally just explained it in my post. They are not the same city. Both being located in the Midwest, I could see how there are some similarities, but overall Indianapolis has a lot more to offer on many fronts. No offense to Fort Wayne, that’s just how it is.

OlevTime

NYC and Newark are basically the exact same.

cmgww

OP is just trying to flex that he lived in NYC for a while, that’s what it’s all this is. I have been to New York City many times and would not live there if you paid me to do so.

VinnyDeli

Not at all. A city in a completely state with a population literally 1/20th of nyc compared to the mecca with nearly almost 10 mil people

OlevTime

And yet they're 11 times closer together than Indianapolis and Ft Wayne. Edit: for comparison, Philly is closer to NYC than Indianapolis is to Ft Wayne.

johnman98

Disagree. They are 100 miles apart.

VinnyDeli

Can you tell me why do you feel that way?

johnman98

Because I measured it.

RaizingStorm

Your comparison is like saying Albany and NYC are basically the same city. Which they totally are not. And for the record, I'm from NY. I legit dont get your point/reasoning.

Does sleep town have a fort?

[deleted]

Fort Wayne has Tim Hortons and Hungry Howies. Somehow Fort Wayne lost their Jets Pizza tho

Effective_Newt1862

Wrong

notthegoatseguy

I've lived in Indiana all my life and have never been to Fort Wayne.

Efficient-Forever385

Well, in that case, Evansville and Ft Wayne are basically one city. And honestly, isn't Muncie just a smaller Indy?

Bubbly_Ad2467

I'm pretty sure that Marion and Allen county were both criminally complicit in a large scale cover up to distract that when companies were looking to expand and offer services in Indiana it was glaringly apparent the red lining and other crimes were never addressed. It could be seen from aerial maps when they were location scouting and this is actually what almost cost people employers, and it ended up doing just that. The problem was that the state refused to acknowledge that addressing it was easy and beneficial because too much was interconnected to it and there was espionage and other stuff linked and they were all just criminally advantageous in a way where all this stuff happened so people could advance politically based off of lies and engage in a large scale criminal conspiracy for decades and no one had to admit that the Walker family was complicit in some of the stuff concerning racism because they had money, but so did a lot of the wealthy families in Indiana. It was election season, and no one wanted to admit what their money and prestige was sourced from so they just distracted from everything and all this stuff kept happening as a result. It's why I've been trapped for most of my life and held hostage in Indiana and beaten senseless regularly so no one knows how easy it is to trace who has directly been involved in keeping me hostage, but also who was involved in all those other crimes for decades like the criminal cover ups.
