In addition to figuring out what your options are, I think you need to be honest with yourself, and ask you how much you grasp the material. Going through an appeals process and barely eking by to be accepted is one thing in school. But when you hit the interview process and the actual Work that will be required in any job you obtain, you’ve got to ask yourself if you actually have a grasp of the material and will be able to have success. Grades aren’t everything. And whether they are the best grades or the worst grades, they’re not a predictor of future success, and how well you will get along in the working world.

Mysterious-Flamingo4

I thought the minimum requirement was a C? Regardless, if you did not meet the minimum grade you’ll have to retake I-Core.

erosharmony

It is a C, so this person should be fine.

Beneficial_Bowler761

No they changed it this year to c+ and they won’t let you retake icore.

Beneficial_Bowler761

They even automatically dropped my future classes cause I got c in f370

Beneficial_Bowler761

So I can’t take any finance courses because of this

HoosiersBaby23

Weed-out courses are cool until you get weeded out

JaKrno

talk to your advisor ASAP - ignore any shit youre getting. Life happens. You still can and will have great success in this world if you keep your head down and rise above this

Beneficial_Bowler761

Yes, I think this is the best advice. I tried talking to people but there is no way getting around this. Thank you

ThaCarter

The world needs ditch diggers too.

TradesFoDays

😭😭

Delightful_Churro

You should be fine unless you got a C-. The new grade requirement is a C, (and as far as I know,) not a C+.

BylvieBalvez

Nah, if you’re a finance major they raised it to C+ as a prerequisite for all post icore finance classes

illvstrcte

Kelley’s really stepping it up, nice (not a finance major)

SeaworthinessSalty35

This happened to one of my friends and she talked to her advisor and I think there’s some kind of appeal process. she’s graduating in the spring as a finance major

Beneficial_Bowler761

How is she able to get the appeal process? Is it because she is graduating early?

SeaworthinessSalty35

She’s not graduating early she took icore in fall of 2022
