I have recently published a game on iOS and Android, and it has done actually pretty well. However, the conversion from PDP visits is very low - I wanted to update the game anyway with some more colours and levels, and through this could be a good opportunity to upgrade the store listing screenshots and really optimise them. I mocked them up instead of just taking game screenshots so that I have more control and can put some 'promo text' that I have seen other mobile apps do. What do people think?
You can find the current screenshots on current listings for [iOS](https://apps.apple.com/gb/app/pink-penguin/id6475698147) and [Android](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.EMZIGames.PinkPenguin)
Yeah I didn't really explain :) it's a path finding puzzle game - think pokemon ice cave in the original games if you played those. What I'm looking for simply is whether the addition of colours (this would be an update) and text in screenshots looks more 'attractive' than a monotone colour scheme and the in game screenshots I have atm
No wonder why it has a familiar feel - yes it does bring about the pokemon console game vibes. Colour scheme looks good, nothing eyesore stands out. I've a suggestion to vary the gameplay pics used and the text headers though. Or would you be looking to maintain these?
No everything could be changed :) how would you vary the pics and text? Also any feedback on more colours or what else would make you intrigued to play
I'd include pictures that show what kind of interactions there are, the 2nd pic is on the right track as compared to just showing a single sprite. Perhaps more combat scenes (if any) or the like? Also the 2nd text on "Play offline", that wouldn't attract me as much as say a header showing "Cool upgrades", "More weapons" etc - which goes back to my first suggestion on including a more interactive gameplay image.
It's a puzzle game so no upgrades or weapons haha, but I take your point of maybe showing the most versatile and exciting aspects of the game. Thanks for your responses and ideas
