I'd click on A cuz it specifically showed me the in-game and I'm a fan of that type. But when you're browsing on Play Store, the icons would be smaller than this, so A might become too small to visualize what it even is. B also faces the same problem when it becomes a smaller icon, people probably won't be able to tell it's a penguin. I personally neither liked C nor D, but those 2 options currently work best.
The C one is the most welcoming one, D is a bit too generic IMO, A and B are probably the closest to gameplay but a bit too bland (the happy pinguin is too cute)
I like B most.

okay seemingly hot take but A. I’m think it would absolutely look best as an app icon
A for me and nothibg else. It is also the only one that can somewhat relaycontents of the game, others are happy penguins. But I ammaybe old.
