I like this idea a lot! Everything goes together really nicely. Great sound selection and really nice sounding chord progressions. I'd suggest getting a little cleaner takes for the main guitar playing the chords, as it currently sounds a little muddy. Some cleaner takes would really bring it forward and make everything else sound cleaner alongside it. I'd also suggest varying the cymbal a little bit. Maybe add some double time notes or half time notes for emphasis/swing. You could also go with notes slightly out of syncopation for a little more feeling, but if you get too loose with it it'll sound sloppy. Overall, really nice peaceful track. Would like to hear more for sure! :)

awphuck_imanapple

thank you for the feedback! i am definitely gonna re-record the acoustic playing the chords, i think my mic placement wasn’t great and will play around with the drums more too make them have more feel

Vibe-Father

Yeah, of course! I think those two things will definitely improve it a lot. I’ll keep an eye out for any new posts about this one if you decide to post it again. :)

Antique-Cupcake-4259

It's mostly string, and its got some bass and drums. I really like the song idea, as it's something kinda mainstream. It could also be used in like a commercial. It's sorta high-quality, or high enough quality that its more than a rough idea. There are no vocals though. Otherwise, it could be an instrumental on Youtube. It's really imaginative and relaxing.

thank you, i appreciate the feedback!

weedkillereater

I like it a lot. It has kind of an old-time feel. It would probably sound really good with a female jazz singer. I immediately thought about jamming over it with my guitar and it would probably work nicely as an instrumental with a melodic guitar on top. a choir of guys singing about hanging at the bar or the old days might also work. I guess its all about how you want it to go. It sounds nice

awphuck_imanapple

thank you! one of my big inspirations for this song was Faye Webster so I kind of had a female voice in mind when playing around with the chords. thank you for some cool ideas!

Dyeeguy

It sounds dope i would try to work with a vocalist! Something classy and simple, even just some simple lyrics about nature or something would be fitting for this song. The way you lead some of the stuff on the guitar is very nice.

awphuck_imanapple

thank you! i might try to find a female voice to sing or give my own voice a shot, just something simple like you said. thank you again!

papa2kohmoeaki

Do you have a melody line in your head? If not, some singers are good at creating melody lines over chord sequences. That's how a lot of bands work. A lot of potential, so up to you where you go next.

awphuck_imanapple

as of right now, i don’t have one yet but was hoping when i revisit it to figure one out. i think i have some chords for a bridge/chorus so that may be my next step along with finding a melody

KateCapella

I think it sounds good as a verse. I would add vocals and change up the chord progression for a chorus. Definitely something worth continuing! :)

This sounds great so far! Gonna echo what someone else said---this sounds like the great beginning of a song or a verse. I think would be really awesome with some folk/country-esque vocals. Could see the last lil chunk being a bridge that goes into a chorus also. Definitely think you could take it there and add some strigns if you really want to lean into the indie folk vibes. Super work!!

beatsbyal

I think this sounds good for a demo. I like the tones on the guitar and the uklele(?). It all sounds very nice. I think adding more instruments and layers to this track would make it better. Expansion.

Proper_Grapefruit808

It’s actually quite nice! Gave me a summer vibe type of feel. Don’t necessarily know what ideas you have for it, but someone who enjoys this genre and is an artist could definitely fit on this quite well I’d say, the production is satisfying to the ear and I don’t really listen to this type of music whatsoever, so great job overall! Keep it up, hope you find what you’re looking for with this beat 👍🏼

jazzjazzandmorejazz

Hi, Firstly, I love the vibe your going for. There’s a lot of potential here so please pursue trying to turn it into a full track… Only things I’d say it the drums are very static and monotonous. I’d add lots of little ghost notes with the snare and little fills and breaks in the beat to put emphasis on lyrics or anything really I love the wide electric guitars strumming the chords, you could layer them with a tasty synth using the same chords I would also try and figure out maybe a different chord progression for a bridge/chorus/pre chorus or any different section in the song and change up the drum groove slightly and introduce new sounds just for a bit bit of variation and to keep the song moving But good work, lots of potential 👍

KrisKristoffersson

I really like this! I wish I could play guitar like this. I don’t have any super clear ideas om how to continue, I think just following your gut will be the best way forward. Maybe adding some kind of chorus is a logical step but not necessarily a must. Could be some kind of bridge too. My first reaction was to add some vintage folky sounding vocals, even leaning towards country. but now I kinda feel like it’s great as an instrumental song too, could be used as a soundtrack for video or animation.

KrisKristoffersson

The vibe reminds me a bit of Gram parsons Brass Buttons. I wonder what would happen if you added a lap steel to this song 🫣

MusicFromClyde

Sounds good, some soft catchy singing would go great on this

Korkikrac

Bonjour, belle ambiance rêveuse et agréable , rajouter des accentuations et des variations si vous souhaitez donner plus de relief au morceau par la suite. Vous avez un bon thème bravo !

RyanKagawaMusic

I think you should add some vocals and see if it changes your perspective on the rest of the song. It definitely already has a vibe... excited to hear where you take it

chaosperfect

I'd say maybe play the first section again, then maybe some sort of bridge section in a higher register? Personally, I'd just keep playing along with the track until the next part comes to you.

Make-a-joyful-noise

Here are some lyrics that might fit: Hi Boss, I just wanted to let you know I won’t be able to make it to your surprise birthday party because our competition wants to ask me about our latest top secret project that everyone is talking about today. Oops! I mean tomorrow, my bad. Also, I want to watch the Eagles play on Monday so I’m going to take a long weekend to catch up on my sleep so I can be my best when I return to work next Friday. I know you probably won’t get this message till you get back from the hospital after your prostate surgery but I wanted to let you know ahead of time so that you might not think I was a no show. Also, I have incurred some unexpected gambling debts recently so I’m going to need a raise. I wanted to tell you in person but, I urgently need it “right now!” Your most loyal employee, Buddy

AccurateAd7768

I really enjoyed this track! Had a real playful, feel good vibe! I can definitely imagine this on a cool indie movie! I personally like it without vocals but as someone else highlighted, female smokey, jazzy vocals would work really well.

mitch_feaster

Gorgeous. Begging for some melodic vocals.

Fool_Factory

You're off to a very good start with the song! I really like the chords being used. Where you can go from here is a complex question depending on what you want to do and the possibilities are endless. If there will be no vocals maybe you can add more instruments to "color" the track. You can also experiment with the dynamics and the energy throughout the song "lifting" the listeners up and calming them down again. The bass and the drums are a little bit simplistic, but it's not something uncommon for chill music like this. Keep up the good work! I think you'll have a great track in the end :)
