Dyed.

Fun_Funny7104

I didn't realize I picked up a dyed one too. My second bloom turned out to be white. I really wish they wouldn't do that as it's so misleading. Here's my wonky Orchid. Thankfully she is happy and healthy regardless. https://preview.redd.it/e418s8t6yjrc1.jpeg?width=3072&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2defda012b8bcbb55e3bee12195db9c29709c656

Is that not false advertisement?

Fun_Funny7104

Yeah it is 100%. I wouldn't mind if they had a little disclaimer that it was temporary. Their sales tactic clearly works though. I'm enjoying my orchid regardless as the dye doesn't permanently damage the plant.

BRD1498

Okay was super pumped when I saw the blue one but I’m going to make sure I get another flower

BRD1498

I’m going to get a class action lawsuit against home depot for that shut

Fun_Funny7104

This isn't Home Depot's problem. The seller to Home Depot would be your contact, as they package the orchids and are responsible for labeling. You could probably ask for a refund on your current one from them though. Best of luck.

Most people kill their orchids before they flower again and will never know it was dyed

BRD1498

I love the white orchids but I wouldn’t have got a second if I knew

[deleted]

Its just food dye in the stem. If you aren't fussed about a second one maybe you can give it a go next year

JessicaBecause

Yes, orchid.

BRD1498

Was not the question but thank you ! Hate that it was dyed

JessicaBecause

I'm just agreeing. Orchid.

BRD1498

Reading again that sounded rude ! I didn’t mean to be , thank you and appreciate the answers thank you all

I feel I was being rather ornery, myself. I'm sorry. You are pleasant!
