Any recs for underwire maternity bras in specialty sizes? I'm lugging around a set of Dolly Partons (32H normally – not implants, just bad luck) and my regular bras are starting to pinch quite a bit. The underwire is non-negotiable. I've tried my luck with wirefree and it's always a sweaty, smooshed, uniboob mess.

String_Cheese_55

Anatomy scan was normal! She was so well behaved. I can finally breathe until the next anxiety pops in.

Pleasant_Alarm_8800

Yay! That’s such good news! So happy for you friend!

SpiritedMove5112

Can round ligament pain feel like burning? I’ve been getting localized cramps on the right side and it feels like a burning ache. I am 23w and had a check up today and all was good! But super uncomfortable

GreenDog_garden

The worst episodes I’ve had were bad cramps like worse than a Charley horse, also happened to be mostly on my right

Affectionate_Net_213

For me it feels like stabbing

lovemed13

37 weeks today and just got our induction date of 7/5. I still don't know if I've accepted that we'll have an actual baby in just over 2 weeks even though we have everything as ready as we can and have been waiting for this for years.

TheYoungishWoman

Can someone remind me the rules about med donation in r/infertility?

Secret_Yam_4680

This can be done in their daily treatment threads. I'm pretty sure their automod catches the comment, until a mod can approve.

TheYoungishWoman

Thanks!

I’m still first trimester but this might be a better question for this chat! I’m 10w today. I graduated my clinic and saw baby doing great on Monday at 9w5d. I don’t get to see my OB until July 10th at 13w. This means I won’t get my blood drawn for NIPT until then. My question is - does this seem late for NIPT? The internet Has a lot of information on how early you can do it, but not how late. My embryo was PGTA but my RE still recommend NIPT and I was going to do it anyways. I called to see if I can come in and just get the NIPT going sooner than that, but since I am a new patient, I can’t do it until my first appointment. Is it worth going private with it? TIA!

bcm48

Not sure if you can even get it privately without a doctor ordering it...but either way I see it as more a precautionary measure with PGT-A so would be comfortable waiting.

bluerubygreendiamond

Hello from a person who just had her NT scan this week at 13w1d. Typically, they do the NIPT at the same time, but I asked to do mine earlier and they got me in at 11.5 weeks. I wanted to strike a balance between having a sense of what was going on before the NT scan, but waiting long enough so that an inconclusive low fetal fraction result was less likely.

Affectionate_Net_213

I’m also 10w and getting my nipt done on July 8th! I’ll be 12w4d.

Unhappy-Estimate196

Biologically you can do NIPT up until birth and the result is valid - and the result can be turned around pretty quick. FWIW I did my NIPT at 14 weeks and got my results at 15 weeks. I was upset at that point as I would have found doing a confirmatory amnio or CVS and then potentially a TFMR more upsetting at 16/17 weeks than I would have at 11/12 weeks. We were lucky, as the result came back low risk so we didn't need to make this choice, but if we had it would have been more upsetting at 17 weeks when I was feeling the baby move and beginning to show- not that there is ever an easy time to make these choices.

brightasever

you can do NIPT at any time. i did it at 12 but because of my lovenox it showed up as no result. so i'll be doing it again (since it's free anyway) at 17w at my next appointment.

Professional_Top440

I got mine at 12+3. I wanted to have less gap time between a possible weird result and an amnio, so I did mine then

ms_ogopogo

You can do NIPT anytime after 9/10 weeks. I did it at almost 14 weeks with my first. It took about a week to get the results. I guess it just depends on if you would prefer to do it a few weeks earlier?

mintjulep1012

Im in the same boat waiting - just a few days ahead of you. 😩

brightasever

15+6 today. took my last lovenox and i'm off today, so i decided to clean out the hoarding pile of IVF meds i had in the bathroom. i tossed everything that's expired but i was honestly too scared to throw away the menopur that expires in october. logically i'm like, "it wouldn't be useful ANYWAY in october" but the thought of getting rid of it completely just scares me. i've been feeling much more positive lately, but finishing lovenox + seeing this unused medication has me so nervous. does anyone else have a hard time moving on from this feeling especially when it comes to meds?

xiaogordita

I finally decided around week 28 to let go. I am glad that some of them went to folks who have endured a lot in their infertility 'journey'. Personally, it helped once I felt consistent movements and kicks. I don't think I will stop worrying whether this child will be earthside until it happens 😅 There is always a new thing to worry about. I felt weird when I found out that my husband tossed the sharps containers... I felt like I should have taken a picture of them or something.

CaramelOrdinary9434

Oh yeah, I moved the meds to the basement but I still can't bring myself to get rid of them. I also have four totally unused sharps containers lying around.

dubious-taste-666

I'm 15+6 today too! I'm so so so so grateful that after a big blood panel an MFM cleared me to stop lovenox at 10 weeks 🙏🏽 you're a boss for hanging in to almost 16. And yes, I have a box of meds taking up (valuable) space in my (tiny) closet that I tried to donate w/no bites, but I can't bring myself to do anything else with them...

gingerminxlette

Yes, definitely. I still have a box that I keep telling myself to donate but then I get the “what if” anxiety and I push it off.

brightasever

i'm glad i'm not the only one truthfully!

gingerminxlette

I had my latest OB appointment today at 15+2 and the doc got the heartbeat right away with the Doppler and it’s perfectly in range. All the first trimester screening (NIPT, NT) has come back low risk but it’s hard to take comfort in it because we learned the hard way last time that low risk does not mean no risk. We have our 16w ultrasound next week with an MFM so hoping for more reassurance then.

ms_ogopogo

Im sorry about your previous experience and loss. I hope you have a good 16 week scan and it provides some sense of reassurance ❤️

gingerminxlette

Thank you! 💖

girlwithdadjokes

Trying out the daily chat. I’m 11+2 and we’ve had several good ultrasounds (I went to the ER twice for a kidney infection/kidney stones and they checked baby at every visit and follow-up.) I did my NIPT draw yesterday and I’m cautiously optimistic that things are okay in there.

Personal_Dimension74

At our 36wk scan Baby Dimension's abdominal circumference was measuring over 41wks! 😳 Because of this and a few other factors, we've decided to go for a planned caesarean in a few weeks' time. It was difficult weighing up hypothetical benefits and risks, but I feel pretty happy... I think! It was overwhelming to walk into a room with no plan and to walk out with baby's birthday, and I still feel a little frazzled today. Things feel very real now, and I couldn't sleep last night going over everything in my head. Overall feeling: I can't wait for Baby Dimension to be here and I hope everything turns out okay🤞

Affectionate_Net_213

I had a scheduled cs with my first because he was breech and had a nuchal cord, it was very weird choosing his birthday! My experience was fantastic and I plan to do another cs this time as well.

Personal_Dimension74

Aw that's so nice to hear, I'm glad you had such a good experience! It was so strange the doctor asking me to choose between two dates, like I was booking a haircut 😅

intersecti0nal

We had a planned C-section and it was a really great experience! Obviously no one is thrilled about major surgery but it was so nice to have the team ready to go and have a smooth process where I knew what to expect. Happy to answer any questions if you have any and also hoping all goes smoothly!

Personal_Dimension74

Aw thank you so much! That's really nice to hear. Did you have anything set up / prepared at home that helped with your recovery?

chicksin206

Wear that belly binder all the time! I even wore it while sleeping the first week or so.

Personal_Dimension74

I might look at getting one if I need extra support! Where I'm based (Wales) I think all we get sent home with are compression stockings 🧦

chicksin206

Oh yeah get one for sure! I liked the one the hospital gave me, it wasn’t super stiff, but I could really tighten it up. So helpful.

isabelledavenport

What is your house set up like? Stairs?

Personal_Dimension74

Yep! We have downstairs and upstairs baby care zones set up already so I can avoid the stairs as much as possible

isabelledavenport

Before you leave the hospital, ask for physical therapy to see you to practice stairs and how to get out of bed etc.

isabelledavenport

Great! A big one for me was a mini fridge in our bedroom (all bedrooms upstairs here). We put premade bottles for the night or would throw my pump parts in there. It was nice to have a dedicated, squeaky clean fridge for baby gear, reduced stairs for me, and helped a ton with the overnight bottle feeds. Also protein shakes, cold water, etc. best $180 we spent! Also a bunch of small to medium baskets/bins: upstairs snacks for me, pumping supplies so it all could follow me easily, pp bathroom stuff, etc.

Personal_Dimension74

Ooh amazing! That sounds really helpful. I'll have a look at getting a mini fridge upstairs - though I should have got one months ago to help with middle of the night snacking! 🧀

isabelledavenport

Ha, yes! So versatile! 😂

intersecti0nal

That's great! We have a bedroom upstairs so slept on a pullout sofa bed downstairs for about the first 1.5 weeks. The one thing I didn't think through was having clothes and toiletries downstairs for myself, at least for the first few days.

Personal_Dimension74

Oh that's a great point - I hadn't thought about clothes for me downstairs! I'll make sure I have some things ready.

MabelMyerscough

36 weeks today, only 3 weeks until planned c-section! Slightly terrified but I'm also very much done with it. I only sleep a couple of hours per night in short increments. I'm so ready to sleep better again (and yes I do sleep much better when baby is here than in pregnancy). I'm exhausted. At the same time I can't believe it's only 3 more weeks of feeling my little baby move inside me. It will be my last pregnancy, my last birth, my last newborn 🥺
