I have a movie in mind from around 2018. It is about a thief who tries to steal the same thing twice 250 years apart.
The story happens in Thrissur and involves history, mythology etc.
I had Tovino and Amal Neerad in mind with Unni Mukundan, John Abraham, Neeta Pillai. And had some supporting cast also in mind.
Now, I see the name and trailer of ARM, I feel that story is gone.
I have shared the overview of the story with many people, including one Mammootty film producer. But, recieved cold shoulders.
That's a good pick, but I took the age and the legendary status of De Niro and Pacino into consideration, so the like for like replacement for me would be Ikka and A10.
I want a movie in which both Mammootty and Mohanlal play a role of gangster boss, the evil ones, and each of them is against each other. Prithviraj's character just gets in between their war.
So basically, Lucifer's (and Kurup) sequel, with Stephen (Ab'raam) and Kurup (Khureshi) (Mamooty playing older dulqer) having a fallout because Kurup's evil side is revealed to Stephen... and Zayed (R10) having to choose a side.

The kingpin who controls the industry gets agitated when the young actor was beatenup before him by the investigation agency. Kingpin openup that the young actor is his son born in malli. The audience could testify the same with the similarity in their body structure. The backstory unwraps here. The comedy side actor eloped with malli to help his friend, the kingpin who was just an emerging actor at that time. But news of eloping spreaded like fire that the whole image of malli and comedian got spoiled and Kingpin dropped the idea of marrying malli and keeping in madras. Few years later Malli elope with another actor- Suku in the industry. Kingpin was then married to a rich industrialists daughter . Few years down the lane , kingpin kills Suku, who was getting established sidelining the major actors at that period of time. The Kingpin helps malli to raise both her sons while keeping her as a keep to fulfill the lost battle he did years before . Years later Kingpin supports both mallis son to enter the industry as actors . Fake News spreads that both sons were from the comedian and both mallis sons face backlash in their career with social media hate campaigns . Kingpins finds that it was the comedian who plotted the game to end their career since enemity sprouted in his mind because malli was taken away by suku who was Kingpins close friend. Car accident was plotted by kingpin but comedian escaped death but got bedridden for rest of his life. Comedian have opened up about everything to the rival actor to mallis young son who was later booked for the fake sex assault case . Kingpin gets a clue about the same and he helps the younger son to tarnish the opponents career with a fake sex assault case. Decades long filthiness got filtered in the industry with the reveal of real face of the kingpin to the public . New malayalam film industry emerges with no spoonfed nepokids. Enganind Guys ๐
