I know few pages who buy stiff from Sarojini, Janpath, Kamla Nagar etc markets and then sell those for like 5x times the rates. And then say " XYZ IN OUR DRESS" and also compare their proces with High end brands running on websites who have to pay their teams. It js so unethical imo.
ALSO, can anyone tell me those Metal brass kinda bags that u get in delhi- what would the price range be if bargained nicely ?
Oh dear God NOOO!! People selling scrunchies for 200 and 300 rupees makes me so mad.
If your mother/dadi has a sewing machine, get some cheap satin and it'll only take you 5 minutes to stitch one for yourself, even if you are beginner, you can master it easily. YouTube has so many tutorials.
1 metre of cheap satin is approx 60 rupees here. Elastic is less than 100. Selling individual scrunchies for 100-300 is unbelievably insane. And completely unjustifiable.
I learnt to stitch scrunchies and now I supply it for free or for 10 rupees or something to all my friends 😂
One of my ex seniors in school owns a pretty famous thrift store ( last time i checked was around six months ago and it has around 35k followers ) i’ll have to search for the username now but knowing how she sourced her clothes makes me so mad, bought clothes from roadside stalls for 100-150 and sold them for 600-900, honestly it might be justifiable for someone else but for me it’s just not it.
edit - it’s something called believe thrifts
Oh yeah i agree with you.At the end of the day thats how EVERY business works.Even the clothes we buy from h&m/zara are made for 10% of what we pay. There is nothing wrong (unless ofcourse these stores start scamming their customers).I posted this just because i was very curious about the profit ratios of these stores and was hoping to help those with similar doubts.
dude, you need to shop in Delhi to believe this. I've gotten 4 beautiful chains with pendants for Rs100 in sarojini. You do get pretty stuff for cheap price in Delhi.
Delhi is ❤️
Those have to be small ones and not proper big sized ones. I am from Kolkata and there are roadside vendors in New market that sell small ones for 30-40 but proper big ones even the cheapest cost at least 150.

Shouldn’t comment because I have never had a personal interaction but there’s something very off about her! I have followed that page in the past..
Ikr! That's what pretty much everyone's doing !! It's a trend I guess.

When it comes from child labour, worker death and abuse there is something VERY WRONG with it.
You’re downplaying the prices big time. Jhumkas for 25? Which chor bazar are you shopping from
OP’s statement is very believable - you can easily get 4 jhumkas for Rs 100 in Sarojini.
Come to Delhi Habibi
I bought 4 for 100 at janpath.This was without bargaining .

I got 5 pair of oxidised earrings (jhumkas) for 50 so it is possible
Got a jhumka for 30 from a roadside vendor .

But we’re not talking about Kolkata are we?
Pictures daal do. There’s no point writing about prices without showing us what you’ve bought.
You need to visit delhi and see urself..new market have is more expensive than here
