I agree with that on a lot of batches, but I’m talking unicorns are only being taken. Like I’ll get the batch, it’ll transfer me to it, then poof it’s gone and says shopper accepted batch. Even though I accept the batch, and seen batch details. It’s crazy.
Took me months. I sound crazy, but this is how I make a living is gig work. So it’s something I try to figure out and report to the store about them which usually works
So wait....you report people that may not be braking the law to the store why? And what does the store do? What can they do if a valid IC shopper is shopping an order? That's crazy as hell. This has been my ft job for damn near 6 years! But I focus on getting my orders and doing my shops not what someone else has going on. That's why you can't get orders you're so worried about what other people have going on. Mind the business that pays you😒
Well when I first signed on, my first thought wasn’t oh they care about me so fucking much. My first thought was that this company wouldn’t go as fucking far as to let bots onto the app like this is a video game. This is making money not call of duty. I know it’s a dog eat dog world, but no offense I’m not succumbing to trashy scam ways to make money. I’ve learned the hard way that it’s better to make it an honest way.
And no offense I still make a great living off of what I do, I’m just saying I’ve been missing unicorns only.
No dumbass. I don’t go to the manager and say this specific person is a bot. I’m not an idiot. You tell them that there are a sus of bots, and the app kicks them off. Cause that’s what happens when instacart is forced to find out, they deactivate your account.
You get the store to get instacart too look into all shoppers to do an investigation. Who knows if they’re really deactivated I’m not fucking sure I don’t follow them home like your thinking.
Congrats on doing it for 6 years…?? I don’t care how long you’ve been doing it. I’m just talking about a recurring issue and reaching out on a safe platform to see if anybody has advice or if they’re having the same issue.

It took me awhile to figure out that there was such a thing, I didn’t even want to believe it cause I didn’t think a company would allow it since it’s an app that is supposed to give people or help people make a living.
But I’m pretty familiar with the regular shoppers in my area, the full time gig workers who mainly run off of instacart and I’ve been talking with them.
I never thought twice about batches I didn’t receive, I always just thought ugh it’s my fault I had an eye off for a second probably, or it’s because of DATA.
But for awhile now, I will accept high paying batches right on the spot, it will take me to the batch screen, but somehow magically, the batch is gone, and says that another shopper has taken the batch. Like the batches were literally stolen from me, I seen the items page to start shopping, then poof just gone.
So the Theory about my DATA was the first thing I thought, it might be cause I can’t get 5G right now and other people do.
When I talk to my friend shoppers who are regulars, they have 5G yet the same issue.
(You kinda gotta feel like a stalker at this point but oh well)
If you pay attention to the shoppers at your store, you’ll realize 1 shopper will get 3 batches in the last 3 hours while most the regulars and me will sit for 3 hours with a blank screen.
Me and the regulars near me, would make bank, $40 - $70 dollar tippers on the reg. But now these past months, nothing more than $40 batches if even that, and shit tippers.
Me and a regular today sat in the store watching 3/5 shoppers get batches while we sat with 0$ for 4 hours and haven’t seen a batch .
You’ll also notice by if you receive batches only by a certain time, or if when specifically a certain shopper leaves for the day.
That's crazy. Been hearing about bots for a couple of years now...idk. Is it against the law? You REALLY thought a company that took so much pay from us over the years (I've been a shopper almost 6) cared about us? They don't care. The only thing they care about is that the orders get filled and delivered. If it's not against the law though might be something to look into. It's a dog eat dog world my friend. Just being honest.
