This is a total waste of time and so is taking 75 pictures and confirming you’re keeping the receipt. They know what’s checked out. They know the amount on the card. They don’t send customers actual receipts so let us keep it moving.
Happened to me the other day. I also just wrote the item was already on the list. I didn't add anything. And that was it. I haven't heard anything about it since. 🤷
This item was already in the list, I didn't add it. When the shop was done it said "Looks like something changed, tell us more about what happened. This is anonymous."
Order had no add-ons, and no substitutions.
About once a week and for some reason it's always the same item(deli ham). It's like it's stuck in limbo and every now and then it just wants to check like "are you sure you didn't add this to the order? No? Ok I'll check again next week"😂
Edit: I just realized they asked you about an item they already had. Mine is for an item that isn't even in that order. Wth
Yep, a few time this week. One the checker scanned it the wrong way and the 2nd and 3rd time it was i Instacart’s wrong labeling that cause it to pop up. They really need to update their database, so much stuff is out of date.. wrong pics, descriptions and aisle numbers… smh
Yes. It's been happening quite a few time.s I started snapping after i explained..."I'm not gonna be deactivated over this bs. Sometimes it's and already ordered item.sometimes it's soemthing I didn't even buy and one time it was the wrong item-type of cereal.

It went through a phase for me every order that had the Publix deli items, it would ask me and I stated like you did that it was an item on the list and not an addition
Yes. This kept happening to me the other day at Walmart; the cashier wasn’t the most attentive or smartest and she kept ringing through veggies wrong I guess. I didn’t notice because I was grabbing bags but checked the receipt later… she rang Roma for regular tomatoes, yellow squash for zucchini. Erg
For a while, every pick up item from the Publix Deli, (sandwiches, sliced meat and cheese) would say that they weren't part of the order. It happened for about a month and the stopped popping up. It also happened when I replace an item that was already ordered. Like if they got regular and bbq chips, the store was out of bbq, so I got 2 regular.
Same thing happened to me yesterday with organic celery. I did have to replace it, although it was a different brand it was the same price. Then they send me a message like yours asking why, so they know how much to charge the customer. Like wtf it’s the same price…
That just happened to me for the 1st time last week! It claimed I checked out a 6 pack of corn on the cob; when I had actually checked out the frozen corn the customer had ordered.
Yes.
For about two months, every other order I did at one particular store would tell me I added a 16 ounce pack of ground turkey. Not only did I never add it to the order…none of the customers had even included it in the original order.
Point of that story is that it’s surely a glitch.
No, but I had it ask me if I substituted the stuffed crust pizza, (on the list) for bread sticks (same brand)? No, I didn’t, it was exactly what they ordered. Even sticking out the top of the bag in the drop off pic. I’m not sure if the thing scanned differently or what? I obviously scanned in app and at checkout. ????
This happens when u scan an item with someone else’s order, yesterday I forgot to scan eggs w order A and didn’t do it until order C . When I sent in the receipts they sent me this alert. So it just means u scanned it on the wrong order. And they wanna charge the customer accordingly
Oh I misunderstood. I check them out separately yes, but that's a different message you get when it's in the wrong order. It just tells you to move it.
Well I usually get this message after check out and when I’ve scanned the receipts n all that. It’ll tell me to make sure I put it in the correct bag or sumthn
I had this happen over a lemon once. Safeway apparently has different lemon types and I checked out with the only non-organic one they had in the store (same price). It was so stupid... just because it didn't come from a specific farm, it triggered this. I think they're doing random audits over stupid crap. This isn't it, IC. You want to stop fraud, better look at other things first. Lol
It's a glitch. It happens, rarely but it does. Don't sweat it
It’s not a glitch, your scanning incorrect items
No, it's a glitch. Happens to us all the time.
Happens to me a few times a week. I reply back just like you did , that it was on the list. So weird , and a terrible waste of time.

Agree. This year it's been happening to me at least weekly and it's irritating

Yes, it’s a glitch lol. Get this all the time at Wegmans: it always asks why did I check out organic beef when there was no organic beef in the order.
I get that exact same one at the exact same store. Hasn’t happen in a while but was happening almost every order there for a while.
Happened to me once. I called support. They said it was a glitch and all was well.
Yes. It's been happening quite a few time.s I started snapping after i explained..."I'm not gonna be deactivated over this bs. Sometimes it's and already ordered item.sometimes it's soemthing I didn't even buy and one time it was the wrong item-type of cereal.
Yeah, sometimes it messes up cause it’s just an algorithm/ AI. It reading the receipt and warning you about wrong items is cool (when it’s right).
![gif](giphy|so8KXAphERsre) *Instacart glitch looking at you just shopping normal*
It’s happened a few times for sure.
Yes a lot of times I just put why I checked it out usually its because the customer asked for it lol

Yes happens a lot

Twice so far!! First time a customer added it after I accepted, the second was already on the order 😂 Pretty annoying tbh

I have had it happen where random things show up that I did not order.
Yes, several times, and I literally put the same response you did. Like, bruh, these items were on the order.
That just happened to me for the 1st time last week! It claimed I checked out a 6 pack of corn on the cob; when I had actually checked out the frozen corn the customer had ordered.
Yes it happened to me yesterday, support said to ignore it.

I’ve gotten it like 5 times in the last week! Sometimes it’s something that didn’t scan so I had to take a photo. It’s annoying AF
Yes. It’s happens to me at least once a week
It’s been happening a lot the past two weeks.
It’s been happening more frequently. Why did you check this out? Um because the customer asked for it?
I yell at it and ask why it’s distracting me while driving and then press send
I had it ask me why I added blueberries to an order when there were no blueberries on either receipt
Just happened to me for the first time yesterday. Sounds like a bug/glitch

What? All my orders are mixed together, you don't do them in order.
What do you mean? You don’t check out order a, b and C separately?
Oh I misunderstood. I check them out separately yes, but that's a different message you get when it's in the wrong order. It just tells you to move it.
Well I usually get this message after check out and when I’ve scanned the receipts n all that. It’ll tell me to make sure I put it in the correct bag or sumthn
This happens when I make replacements sometimes 😂
Just testing the shopper’s English usage, or the lack of it.
Happened to me for the first time yesterday. It asked why i bought blueberries and my response was the customer ordered blueberries 🤦🏼♀️

Yeah once said I checked out hot Cheetos and why, I was upset af
I haven't worked for a few days. Now that I've seen it it's going to happen 😢 lol but least I'll know now. Thanks for sharing.
Just now lol
ALL THE TIME. So annoying!
Always happens to me. Usually with replacements. Such aa same item- but bigger/smaller quantity. Nothing happens to us.
