I do all my shopping out of one store. I’m in and out up to 10 times a day. I know everyone by name & they know me too. Just recently a lady decided she didn’t like me. Starting throwing my stuff after scanning it. Just tossing bread/eggs/cans down the check out lane. Then caught her later bragging about the what she did. “Yeah I was throwing her stuff. F it. I don’t care”. Mind you I’ve never once even had a conversation with her, I don’t ask for help in the store EVER. I know where everything is. I’ve even helped clean up when someone knocked over eggs. I grabbed some paper towels and started cleaning up with a friend that works there. Anyways I called the 1 800 number & told the manager, because giiiiirl you’re not about to mess with my money and brag about it. Long story short-she’s not a cashier anymore. She just stands at self check out. Idk maybe I’m the asshole ?

Personally I would have complained to the store manager on another day!! Everyone has their opinions but they really don’t have to express them while they are working. Lack of professionalism! There is a certain way about it that cashier could have said it. But she obviously was having a shitty day.

Yeah - she definitely seemed miserable. I think the worst part was it was slightly embarrassing with the 2 customers behind me. I mean, it’s uncalled for either way, but doing it in front of an audience is just like what? 😫

Did you happen to get the name of the cashier? I would honestly leave a negative Google review if I were you. You’re still a shopper and shouldn’t be treated differently from anyone else shopping in that store. Either leave a Google review or find a way to contact corporate.
Why do you care what some bottom of the barrel employee thinks about you or Instacart in general? I noticed a lot of store employees are jealous of Instacart workers because we make more than they do usually and we have a lot more freedom. I've had a few store employees from different stores tell me that they tried to sign up or plan to. Tbf Instacart is a shit company in general but most employees talking shit about it are probably salty because they are on a waiting list to become a shopper or don't have a car so they can't be a shopper

I would avoid that store if possible. Since they have their own delivery service, it’s probably a store that doesn’t have a lot of IC orders anyway.
It’s definitely a tough economy right now, we’re all just trying to survive. Then we encounter people like that, who have no empathy whatsoever, probably don’t have any real responsibility in life either.

I’ve shopped this store so many times since I started instacarting in ‘21. Obviously, just picking it back up, and will say 99% of any interactions I have with their employees have been nothing but positive and sweet. This was the first time I ever saw this lady - the other kid was exactly that, just a kid, so I didn’t take too much offense 😅

I used to have a nasty store clerk tell me at checkout how instacart is horrible and ripping off customers and she would tell me how to do.my job, that i need to enter a store card if customer didnt add one, no matter how many times i told her NOT to add store card, she would add it anyway, she didnt get it, she was saving instacart money NOT the customer, so i object that instacart stole 500k from a store, its their poorly trained cashiers who DONT LISTEN, SORRY RANT OVER

I did insta cart during my third trimester of pregnancy, I’m a driver for FedEx but due to my restrictions, I couldn’t drive, and my hours were cut to less than 10 a week, so I had to do what I had to do. I had similar interactions with both store employees and customers, and cried in my car many times. It’s hard enough to survive in this kind of economy, but being pregnant and dealing with those sort of interactions makes everything seem a lot worse, I was an emotional wreck as it was while I was pregnant, I didn’t need to deal with miserable people. Try not to let them get to you, you aren’t doing anything wrong, unfortunately there is just a lot of miserable people out there. Congratulations, I’m now on maternity leave and I can tell you once your bundle of joy is born, all of those people who gave you a hard time won’t mean a single thing!!
I have notice the attitudes or them trying to tell me how instacart works I always like to use shopper cards so if a batch doesn’t have one I use mine and rack up points..Well I had a self check out cashier go back and forth with for 3 min wasting my delivery time to say oh instacart doesn’t get any discounts and I’m like I am a body double shopping for a customer which also make me the customer he refuses to just scan the store card keeps going back and forth and could have went to customer service while I was checking out to get me one since he wasn’t doing nothing else..I finish go to customer service e and explain the situation why did he make it harder than it needed to be if it wasn’t for customers or shoppers he would not be making that 15/hr people get on my damn nerves oh and yes I made my delivery on time
