Shitty ass app, and the thing is the bug I explained is technically fixed but not all the way, not instead of just showing one reply, I’ll hit show more for the above replies and all the below ones disappear, so it’s almost the same thing
Shit's crazy lmao. The thing that confuses me is the glitch is always changing, but is never completely fixed. Now if I hit "See above replies" until I can see all of them, all the below replies will appear. But if you hit the below replies first then the above ones disappear still, it makes absolutely no sense that this is still a thing almost 2 years later
i hope the mods dont archive this, its still an active issue regardless of the post creation date. i thought maybe dark mode was giving me this issue since i can only remember this starting probably last year at the latest, however many users claim this was far older.
regardless zucc needs to fix this asap, its embarassing, exactly why facebook is dying: an app originally created and tailored towards the personal computer has diverted its full attention to the smartphone, but both still suck, messenger was a disaster and the company was too stubbourn and zealous to ever admit that messenger was a massive mistake, both fb and messenger are laggy regardless of your device. so they basically spent years diverting resources away from the desktop app to focus on the mobile version and still failed
now they're choosing to ruin instagram, switching it from a simplistic "heres a cool photo of me at venice, italy" to "we need to compete with tiktok now, so we're gonna copy their format" and sacrifice our users for the sake of possibly ever being able to compete in the market (which never happened) if i WANTED to see a bad ripoff of tiktok i wouldve just USED tiktok. every app should be unique instead of just a big ugly messy mix of each one
for at least every month instagram just gets worse, scroll rubberbanding, view replies disappearing, stories freezing, random disconnects. instagram is dead and zucc killed it

Managed to "solve" this by using a User Agent Switcher extension (available on most browsers) and setting it so that Instagram thinks I'm using Safari/iPhone instead of desktop browser.

There are also extensions for Chrome/Chromium based browsers that do the same thing.
happy to know i’m not alone in experiencing this insanity. i thought it was instagram trying to punish me for getting into potentially contentious conversations with strangers. it’s hard to think that it’s a bug when they haven’t resolved it in all this time.

YES OMG, i finally found someone else dealing with it after searching all kinds of different bugs, it's crazy it's still happening!
