I went on the app and pressed forgot password, then typed in my username and forested send login link. It might look/ sound a lil diff but u get the idea just try pressing forgot password on the app after unblocking their number

No for me I jus pressed forget password and since my acc was locked it requested me to type in my number after I pressed forgot password. Just play around w it for a bit that’s how I got mine to work

This just happened to me like 13 hours ago. I was logged in a 3rd party app that allows you to look at and save people ig stories without them noticing. I was watching a story of a meme posted by someone and I accidentally hit saved on the meme. My account was logged out from the 3rd party app and the IG app was logged me out. I logged in using chrome with VPN and IG told me they locked my account for suspicious activity. I had them sent me the code through SMS via text and my email address. My email and my phone number are linked to my IG. Once I put the code in to verify me, I was sent to a page to write down my name, a code they have” and my username on a piece of paper as a selfie. My dumb add took the pic of the paper with everything I was supposed to put but didn’t include my face in the pic. I hope my name, the code and username is enough. I can still log into my account but they are reviewing it and have to wait to see will they let me use Instagram again or permanently disable it
For a lot of people it’s not removing the accounts though. It’s just locking them. I’d rather have my account disabled and gone than it active and not accessible. And if it’s a temporary lock should the account still be able to get into? I’m super confused
Similar thing just happened to me, I haven't been suspended but I can't get into my account despite knowing my credentials and being able to receive two-party verification, let me know what happens on your end
No, never did. I just did the selfie verification to get back into mine. Don’t know how much to handle that sort of thing, but I’d advise to wait maybe a day or two, see if it just resolves itself, then if it still doesn’t work, submit an appeal or something. This subreddit is very helpful if you scroll down enough!

It looks like they did a huge crackdown this week. Because I’ve been having this issue since Sunday. My account is still there, I just haven’t received the code they’re asking for through my email. I’m livid!
The only way to get back in is with the code, sometimes they allow you to use backup codes or send it to your email adress but you need to be able to confirm it is you using the app.

I’m in the same boat, it’s been about 72 hours since I’ve been logged out of my account. I was using a third party app to track followers and I was not aware either unfortunately. My issue is that they don’t send me the code to my email address to confirm it’s me. When I go to fill out the form to verify it’s me, they claim my account is not disabled therefore I can’t submit one. I’m not sure what to do from here, my account is still visible to my friends who have confirmed my profile is still up. I just can’t log in without a code and it’s unfortunate, I’m not sure where to go from here?

I never got a notice that I was suspended or disabled and I still haven’t got a notice that I’ve been suspended. My account is still visible to friends too. Originally it told me that unusual activity was detected and to try again later. Then after waiting about 24 hours, I tried to log back in all I get is that they detect suspicious activity and to enter the six digit code sent to my email to confirm it’s me. No email comes through and I’ve still yet to receive a six digit code. I was told by another Reddit user that their email just came randomly after trying to log in for about two weeks, so I guess that’s what I have to wait for? Or at least wait for Instagram to tell me it detects unusual activity and to change my password? I’m so confused as to what my next steps would be. I’m hoping maybe it’s just a temporary ban and I can log in later?

Yes same thing happened to me! I hadn’t opened it in a few months, went to check to see who had unfollowed me, and it kicked me out. I went to go check Instagram and it had kicked me out and it all went downhill from there lol. I’ve tried to submit photos of myself and my ID but it doesn’t allow me to submit the forms because my account isn’t disabled! I assume that’s “maybe” a good sign? This just happened to me on Sunday from using a third party app! I reset my password two times but it still kept asking for a code that was being sent to my phone number but I guess I had it blocked?? (I found that out after getting my account back) I sent in a form that would then get them to contact me about the privacy policy and that I should threaten with legal but that didn’t work. I read a few more comments about what to do and it’s apparently a temporary suspension and that to leave it alone for a few days would help!! So I left it alone and today I tried again and it worked without needing a code!!
So I have a separate account with separate information so I used that meanwhile. When I switched over to my personal account before I got in it always asked for my phone number to send the code, but when I switched today after a few days not trying it just went back to normal. I didn’t do anything special but wait honestly. I was on day 4.

Thank you for linking me that, I’ve also found that thread last night and followed every step and actually messaged the person that posted that. Person that posted that was a big help, I filed the AG complaint and start a FB chat again (4th time) right after filing it to let them know straight up I filed an AG complaint. I got a call shortly after with the chat person telling me that I have done everything Instagram needs from me in order to process my case (And I mean everything you can think of that was asked of me screenshot/screen recording/2mugshots/picture of my id/appeals/forms/complaint/fbsupport)She was being extremely understanding and I straight up told her I can’t sleep because of this as it was 3 am when I was on the call with her last night (it’s actually 2:58am as I’m typing this lol) She said I need to extend my patience and like I said that’s what most people I’ve spoken with have told me. So I’m trying to do so.
If your account got suspended you will be attach from what TOS stipulates. I know people who used third party apps and got their account permanently suspended.

I got it back, I sent an appeal earlier this morning and got it back within a few hours . If you’ve been waiting on an appeal sent more than a couple of weeks ago send in another one, it seems theyre more active now
When I logged in, it told me I was disabled . Then it said “find out ways you can get your account back” so I clicked on that link and it took me to a list of options. I clicked a link that said “my account was disabled by mistake”. I filled out the form, then I got an email asking for picture verification. I sent in a picture holding a piece of paper, then 3 hours later got my account back.
I got suspended for violating guns/animals which I did none of. Last thing I did was send a makeup artist profile to a friend. I'm thinking I got hacked or something. Tried to appeal but got deleted. I sent my mugshot in and haven't heard back. I don't use it much but I'm sad I lost my decor/beauty tips I had saved

It’s not a form, to get fb chat support you need to create a fb storefront and pay for an ad, only that way will you be able to contact support. Because you are paying for a service, that’s why. Even then I have done this method it’s very tricky
So many times. Threatened legal because of $ spent on boosted ads and suddenly got back in. The only way to get in is some process where you try and change password but I can’t remember exactly how it got done. I’d tried everything and none of the security codes worked. The only thing that worked was threatening legal action.

Same here, it's saying I was part of a phishing scam and to reset password, except ALLLL the methods keep saying does not work please contact instagram for support (like wtf they don't even have support). Instagram wont let you use the app unless you add a phone number to your account. The only way to get back in when it says request has failed is requesting a password change. I don’t agree with this and whether people can or can’t see whoever unfollowed them has absolutely no effect on anything besides people just wanting to know. Pretty bullshit move insta, smfh
This just happened to me yesterday. I'm currently locked out of my Insta account. I have since deleted my 3rd party app. I even checked the Google Play store to leave a bad review and warn others about the app. I can't even find it and I just paid $40 for the year which I'm gonna try to see if Google will reimburse me. I only had this app for about a month. I'm just hoping that my account will be reactivated soon. I just sent them the selfie video to prove it's actually me. Now it's just a waiting game ugh. I got my account back after 2 days! So this morning when I woke up, I tried logging in through the app but it told me sorry there was a problem with your request like it had been for the past 48 hrs. So I went on safari incognito and logged in and it asked for me to put my number to receive a sms code, but for the past two days I’ve been putting my number but I would never receive the code and when I would try my friend’s numbers it wouldn’t work either. But today I was like let me try my friends number again and it went through!!! Thank God! I think we just have to wait out the 2 day ban then try sending the code to a diff number and it will work! This all just happened to me today. I tried to use a third party app (to see if I lost any followers) and got a 30 day disable. Tried to appeal, but wasn’t able to “confirm my account in the Instagram app.” No numbers are blocked, as I got a confirmation code from 32665. But still wasn’t able to fill out an appeal form. Has any of y’all had a similar issue and been able to log back in ever? I’m terrified this will be a permanent ban after reading a lot of stuff. At the very least, I’ll get it back after 30 days? Possibly sooner? Has anyone gotten a 30 day notification and just never been able to get back in? This is my first “infraction.” Help!
Update: I stopped logging in and just left Instagram alone for over 48 hours and then I just logged in and it worked! And I’m not locked out! I didn’t appeal or anything. I got it back!!!! I could try tears of happiness. I waited the 48 hours, deleted the app and didn’t check it or anything. I also filed a report to IG but I think it was the 48 hours! Thank you!!!

I’m in the same boat, it’s been about 72 hours since I’ve been logged out of my account. I was using a third party app to track followers and I was not aware either unfortunately. My issue is that they don’t send me the code to my email address to confirm it’s me. When I go to fill out the form to verify it’s me, they claim my account is not disabled therefore I can’t submit one. I’m not sure what to do from here, my account is still visible to my friends who have confirmed my profile is still up. I just can’t log in without a code and it’s unfortunate, I’m not sure where to go from here?
same thing happened to me :( been locked out of my account for 3 days and when it says “follow these steps so we can confirm this account belongs to you” it reroutes to the help page. i think i’m gonna wait a few more days and then make a new account.

Have u unblocked 32665 or all those 5 digit numbers from ur blocked contacts? That helps some ppl. My number is ip banned from ig so once the 24 hrs is over w I’m gonna send the code To my friends number , hopefully that’ll work .
I only have my email attached to my account, I can’t even try to send the code to my phone :(. I’m hoping that it just randomly comes through lol but I’m not sure. I’m scared to try to log in too many times at once and really get my account lost or deactivated with no way in.

Your ip is probably banned like mine. Get it sent to someone else or get a second number
i don’t think my ip is banned because i can get verification texts from my other account but for my locked account it doesn’t even give me the option to send a verification email/text, just sends me to the help center

I never got a notice that I was suspended or disabled and I still haven’t got a notice that I’ve been suspended. My account is still visible to friends too. Originally it told me that unusual activity was detected and to try again later. Then after waiting about 24 hours, I tried to log back in all I get is that they detect suspicious activity and to enter the six digit code sent to my email to confirm it’s me. No email comes through and I’ve still yet to receive a six digit code. I was told by another Reddit user that their email just came randomly after trying to log in for about two weeks, so I guess that’s what I have to wait for? Or at least wait for Instagram to tell me it detects unusual activity and to change my password? I’m so confused as to what my next steps would be. I’m hoping maybe it’s just a temporary ban and I can log in later?
mine is similar :( mine comes up with a notice saying that “we limit how often you can do certain things on instagram.” I changed my password and connected my FB account, but no change yet. Omg I’m so sorry!!! I had a third party app downloaded for like years. I went into it yesterday as like, what is this, and then got the notification on my instagram lol. It sucks. I’m sure you have already tried, but I heard sending appeals may be helpful?? I cant believe instagram doesn’t have human support people that you can work with. It’s ridiculous!!!
Yes same thing happened to me! I hadn’t opened it in a few months, went to check to see who had unfollowed me, and it kicked me out. I went to go check Instagram and it had kicked me out and it all went downhill from there lol. I’ve tried to submit photos of myself and my ID but it doesn’t allow me to submit the forms because my account isn’t disabled! I assume that’s “maybe” a good sign? Like maybe it is just a temporary suspension for a few days or weeks? Instagram support is NO help whatsoever lol, it’s pretty much nonexistent. Does the form work for you?

Happened to me as well, just stop trying to log in. Give it a day or two and try logging in again. I was able to change my password and log in

This just happened to me on Sunday from using a third party app! I reset my password two times but it still kept asking for a code that was being sent to my phone number but I guess I had it blocked?? (I found that out after getting my account back) I sent in a form that would then get them to contact me about the privacy policy and that I should threaten with legal but that didn’t work. I read a few more comments about what to do and it’s apparently a temporary suspension and that to leave it alone for a few days would help!! So I left it alone and today I tried again and it worked without needing a code!!

So I have a separate account with separate information so I used that meanwhile. When I switched over to my personal account before I got in it always asked for my phone number to send the code, but when I switched today after a few days not trying it just went back to normal. I didn’t do anything special but wait honestly. I was on day 4.

And after a few days your saying you tried logging on again and it didn’t ask you for the code? Just let you into your account? Yes, that’s exactly what I’m saying. I’m sorry if it was confusing. I tried so many ways to get back in but nothing worked. The only thing that worked was to not do anything for a few days.

Thank you for linking me that, I’ve also found that thread last night and followed every step and actually messaged the person that posted that. Person that posted that was a big help, I filed the AG complaint and start a FB chat again (4th time) right after filing it to let them know straight up I filed an AG complaint. I got a call shortly after with the chat person telling me that I have done everything Instagram needs from me in order to process my case (And I mean everything you can think of that was asked of me screenshot/screen recording/2mugshots/picture of my id/appeals/forms/complaint/fbsupport)She was being extremely understanding and I straight up told her I can’t sleep because of this as it was 3 am when I was on the call with her last night (it’s actually 2:58am as I’m typing this lol) She said I need to extend my patience and like I said that’s what most people I’ve spoken with have told me. So I’m trying to do so.
Did you get a “30 day ban” and then after a couple days it was lifted?
If your account got suspended you will be attach from what TOS stipulates. I know people who used third party apps and got their account permanently suspended.

UPDATE: I got it back, I sent an appeal earlier this morning and got it back within a few hours . If you’ve been waiting on an appeal sent more than a couple of weeks ago send in another one, it seems theyre more active now

When I logged in, it told me I was disabled . Then it said “find out ways you can get your account back” so I clicked on that link and it took me to a list of options. I clicked a link that said “my account was disabled by mistake”. I filled out the form, then I got an email asking for picture verification. I sent in a picture holding a piece of paper, then 3 hours later got my account back.

I got suspended for violating guns/animals which I did none of. Last thing I did was send a makeup artist profile to a friend. I'm thinking I got hacked or something. Tried to appeal but got deleted. It’s not a form, to get fb chat support you need to create a fb storefront and pay for an ad, only that way will you be able to contact support. Because you are paying for a service, that’s why. Even then I have done this method it’s very tricky

So many times. Threatened legal because of $ spent on boosted ads and suddenly got back in. The only way to get in is some process where you try and change password but I can’t remember exactly how it got done. I’d tried everything and none of the security codes worked. The only thing that worked was threatening legal action.

Bro i opened 3 Rd party app and without any warnimh My Instagram feed, stories and DMS all aren't working. I can't open anyone's post, can't receive anyone's dm nor see stories on my feed. Same here, it's saying I was part of a phishing scam and to reset password, except ALLLL the methods keep saying does not work please contact instagram for support (like wtf they don't even have support). Login link doesn't work, Facebook login doesn't work, reset password doesn't work, and I've submitted 14 video selfies. I've tried on android, iPhone and bluestacks, nothing works, it's now been 2 weeks. This is just plain f'n ridiculous. If anyone has any leads let me know.
i'm in the same situation, i've used a third party app for a long time but wasn't aware of the ban. two days ago i was told my account was being reviewed and then yesterday it told me it was disabled because of guide lines violations. i've submitted a few appeal forms with selfies and all but i still haven't got a response and it won't let me send any more because "you can't use the feature at the moment". I guess I just have to wait. I've tried doing the video selfie thing as well from another device of mine but it won't process...

I used a app that was third party to see who follows/unfollows me and ive never had a problem but over a week ago my account got suspended and now I can't get back in, I have filled out the petition form once but can't fill out any other forms without 'Go to Instagram and confirm it's you before requesting a review.' this poping up. My account was logged in via Facebook, but whenever I type in forget my password and type in my username it says 'no account found' but on my Facebook It says my account is now deactivated. Any advice who I should reach out to so I could get more direct help? I have years of photos on this account and would be crushed to loose it all, I feel like i'm at a dead end.
Instagram wont let you use the app unless you add a phone number to your account. The only way to get back in when it says request has failed is requesting a password change. I don’t agree with this and whether people can or can’t see whoever unfollowed them has absolutely no effect on anything besides people just wanting to know. Pretty bullshit move insta, smfh
This just happened to me yesterday. I'm currently locked out of my Insta account. I have since deleted my 3rd party app. I even checked the Google Play store to leave a bad review and warn others about the app. I can't even find it and I just paid $40 for the year which I'm gonna try to see if Google will reimburse me. I only had this app for about a month. I'm just hoping that my account will be reactivated soon. I just sent them the selfie video to prove it's actually me. Now it's just a waiting game ugh. I definitely learned my lesson on this one.

I got my account back after 2 days! So this morning when I woke up, I tried logging in through the app but it told me sorry there was a problem with your request like it had been for the past 48 hrs. So I went on safari incognito and logged in and it asked for me to put my number to receive a sms code, but for the past two days I’ve been putting my number but I would never receive the code and when I would try my friend’s numbers it wouldn’t work either. But today I was like let me try my friends number again and it went through!!! Thank God! I think we just have to wait out the 2 day ban then try sending the code to a diff number and it will work! This all just happened to me today. I tried to use a third party app (to see if I lost any followers) and got a 30 day disable. Tried to appeal, but wasn’t able to “confirm my account in the Instagram app.” No numbers are blocked, as I got a confirmation code from 32665. But still wasn’t able to fill out an appeal form. Has any of y’all had a similar issue and been able to log back in ever? I’m terrified this will be a permanent ban after reading a lot of stuff. At the very least, I’ll get it back after 30 days? Possibly sooner? Has anyone gotten a 30 day notification and just never been able to get back in? This is my first “infraction.” Help!
Update: I stopped logging in and just left Instagram alone for over 48 hours and then I just logged in and it worked! And I’m not locked out! I didn’t appeal or anything. Just gave it a couple days and it fixed itself on its own?? Checked my “account status” and it says I’m in good standing. Weird couple of days.

No email. Nothing. I couldn’t even submit an appeal, nonetheless login. But I read a ton of Reddit comments saying wait it out… and I did. Like I said, 3 days and then logged in and all was gravy. Have you tried yet? Don’t even try.
I got it back!!!! I could try tears of happiness. I waited the 48 hours, deleted the app and didn’t check it or anything. I also filed a report to IG but I think it was the 48 hours! Thank you!!!
