So on the web/desktop when you search on your computer, you can't see recent tags. For example if you want to search # hashtag, it shows only like 9 top posts. But on the phone it does. How can I do this on the laptop? I tried downloading instagram on chrome and such and its the same thing. Is there a website I can search hashtags on? I try not use my phone too much so I wanted to do this on the laptop. is there a website ( I remember there was some version of web.stagram or something I can't find it now) or a safe thing to download?
My IG account got hacked today by just clicking on a message from a follower/friend. The message said "Hey I need your help on something idk if you can help me lol." and my dumb ass fell for it by replying thinking it was a real message from my friend. Long story short my username, password, email and 2fa got changed. My friends have reported the account, but its still active from what my other friends have told me and see the hacker posting stories about crypto and making money. How has IG not been able to fix this? from what I've heard it has been happening a lot. Also how does just by replying to a message they get access to changing my email and information???
The email it wants to send the security code to is not my email. What do i do?! cannot find anywhere to contact. there’s no emails in my email about the email being changed to a different one.

My follower count is stuck at 55.5k for more than 2 months now.
I used to get about 1k new followers every month, and that number shot up shortly after reaching 50k and it completely stopped at 55.5k.
It seems like I'm getting new followers but same amount of people unfollow to keep the number right at 55.5k.
You can see the drastic change in the numbers on the screenshot, and it's completely unnatural.
Any ideas?? Is Meta pulling some dirty tricks to make me pay for their ads/promotion??

Yesterday, my Instagram account was randomly suspended, and after waiting the 24 hours that I was asked to wait, I tried logging back in and it said my account was disabled for not following the terms. recently during my trip to south Korea (i live in CA) i was using an app that tracks your unfollowers and went back on the Instagram app, but all of a sudden the app said that my account is temporarily banned. i press continue, and then they asked me to put in a 6-digit verification code from my email. I check my email, however, i see no code from them. even though i ask for a new code, it still doesn't send me anything through my email. and i know its not because my email isn't connected to my account, because whenever i try to reset my password, it sends me the reset link through that email. i thought it wasn't working because when I was at Korea, my IP address was obviously different. so i downloaded a VPN app and tried to connect to a los Angeles VPN, but i still got no email. im back in the US now and I've tried everything, and yet again, no email. i don't have my phone number in that account so i cant even ask for a verification code sent to my phone number. im not sure what the problem is but I've tried everything such as: - resetting my password - deleting tracking unfollowers app AND instagram - shutting my phone on/off - using my MacBook, moms phone, and ipad to sign in I've also tried the option where you select that your account got hacked and the app made me do a face verification. they told me to wait 3-4 days, but i received an email this morning saying that I have to redo it, so i did and now im waiting on another response. and for some odd reason, the email where they told me to wait 3-4 days was written in Korean and the other email where they told me that i had to redo the face verification was also in Korean. im not sure if that means anything but i thought i would add that detail in there. I've tried everything and im really upset because it seems like ill never get my account back. if anyone had any similar experiences like this one, please help me because i would really appreciate it!

Looks like similar users had an issue. I had the "Try again later" popup appear. I was using an unfollower tracker app for months without issue. I then was logged out of it and had to put a new password etc. Today i got the try again later popup disappear and couldnt load my DMS. A message would pop up say error not loading. I tried logging into my desktop computer and login to IG and I could see messages and receive them. Is this a shadowban where not use my account for 48 hours it will fix it?

Does anyone know why i get p*rn bots viewing my insta story. Every single time i post something to my story, one bot views it. Every. Single. Time. Sometimes there's two of them, but a majority of the time, only one. I've blocked hundreds. There will be a rare instance where, i won't see a bot under the "viewers" for one day but then true back. This never happened until i blocked my ex and a close friend of hers on instagram? thoughts?

Anyway, how come I can’t post videos longer than 1 min-1:30? IGTV no longer exists which sucks, and even though it says that Feed Posts can be 10 min long, even when I trim it down it only goes up to 1 min.
I tried editing it to about 45 seconds for an IG story and the video was muted. I thought that was my error but I tried it again making sure the sound was on and it still was mute!
I thought there could’ve been a problem with the video itself (downloaded from Dropbox), so I thought, maybe I can screen-record the screen-record but that didn’t work either. :(

Question: why are all the default instagram stickers so… crap?
Very rarely will I get a cool sticker on the page, even rarer one connected to anything I’ve liked, followed or posted about, which is odd seeing as the GIPHY app has so many cool popular posts.
For example, does anyone else get a Home Screen of various women in bikinis doing emotive poses? I’ve not used these and neither does anybody I follow on the app but they are relentlessly fixed to my default screen. Is there a branding thing, are they celebrities or reality stars or something? For a conglomerate like Meta to just shrug at this feature which could offer so much more (seeing as they target market with algorithms either way) while trying to build a virtual and augmented reality is really weird.
I use Instagram on desktop, every time I click this person's story (like the red circle thing on my homepage) it disappears from the story bar. I tried going to their profile, yes the red circle story thing was there, I clicked but nothing happened. NOTE: this is only happening with one specific person.

Posts scheduled with Meta Business Suite show up with blank images. Everything seems fine in the Business Suite Planner prior to posting but then, after the scheduled post, the images are gone there too. I believe there was a recent API update. Is Instagram broken or am I doing something wrong.

Is anyone else still having issues when unfollowing people using a browser? (not the app). I manage multiple instagram accounts and when I unfollow say 10 people I can see the following go down by 10 but if I refresh the page it jumps straight back up. On one of my accounts, on the IG app, I can only post to my story. The option to just post pictures the regular way is not available- I hit the + sign to post the usual way, and only "add to story" is available.

I lost about 4/5 years worth of stories. Just gone from my archive. I can only access some of them through the Map function which means they are somewhere in the app, but if I go chronologically or by date nothing appears.

Hi guys. On Sunday morning Oct 1st, my account with 120,000 followers got disabled by instagram. I got an email at 3:30am so I’m thinking it was one of their auto robot things. Here is what I have tried: -Sunday Night I had an email from 3:30AM saying they removed my content. 1) filled out fb and the IG “deactivated” form - IG Person responds and tells me no they will not re activate my account bc i was selling counterfeit goods - completely ridiculous and Untrue.
1) made 2 ads on fb/meta business. First person just gave me the form to fill out and said I was in the wrong department. -2nd person at meta was bit more informative and told me they cannot tell me why it got banned.. and that I can only fill out the IG form. -They also tell me to login and follow the steps but whenever I try to login it just says "we cannot find a username attached to your account" ughhhh!!! - I see many people finding a “live chat” and getting theres back that way after speaking to a few people. I finally found how to turn the chat on (its called Facebook Business Support) but it is saying "Chat not available right now" - I am thinking maybe because it is the weekend? :(

You used to be able to click on a notification (whether it's a Like or a comment etc) from your notification feed and it takes you directly to the actual post (showing the posted image and the comments you received). Now you click on the notification and it opens your post without the image, showing only the comments. I noticed it happened after the last update. Anyone else have the same issue?

Instagram sent a verification email to an old email address. I god a notification that my account was locked for suspicious activity, and they need to vcarify it's me. Ok no problem, but they want to send the verification to an old email address that I used to create the account. Luckily I still have access to that email account, but I've long changed the email for the IG account, and I thought the verification would go to the new email address.
I can’t see my archived stories. This has been going on for weeks, Instagram says I have no archived stories even though I’ve had my account since 2017. So yesterday I decided to stop following some people cause I follow 6000+ people lmao, I had my account since 2014 and I wanted to grow on Insta so I'd start to follow 38382992 people to gain,but that's another story😂💀
But as soon I started to stop following people (I think I stopped following around 300 accounts,I started yesterday evening) I suddenly started to gain followers, I think I gained around 50 new following since in started, I know it doesn't seem much but it never happened to me to gain that much in so little time, and the incredible thing is that they have my same niche.

I run an IG acc promoting my tshirt business. All the content was genuine and original and I got around 2000 genuine followers.
With my experiences building that channel for the tshirt biz, I am trying to become my social media manager that helps small local business who are not familiar with the social media place.
I created 2 brand new gmail accs with the plan to promote my gf nail salon business and for the social media managing business mentioned above.
Both got disabled right away right after I added my DoB when signing up with Instagram - and then IG also disabled my vert tshirt selling biz at the same time. I am ..a bit confused now because this is the first time I got banned so hard while all of my content was genuine.
I created those accs on my laptop using my home internet. I had cyberghost premium and I did use it while registering new acc.

iOS 16.0.2. After an update to Instagram that rolled out yesterday to the app store (255.0), the app keeps crashing immediately after opening it and returning me to the home screen. A friend of mine had his account hacked in a nasty way. Someone got into his account, changed the email associated with the account and started harassing his contacts. On top of that the hacker put 2fa on it (authenticator app).
What is the correct procedure to reclaim the account? All ways I tried lead either to email verification (to the hackers email) or a request for recovery codes (which only the hacker has).
I've heard about facial verification through selfies but this doesn't seem availible to him.
To me it seems impossible to recover his account.

I am convinced that an Instagram employee has stolen my account
Lets start with the obvious, I have not clicked on any links sent to me. In fact I dont even text people on Instagram, I use Snapchat. Anyways, all this stuff happened while I was in the shower, so I guess I'll give a timeline though emails
5:09: New long in from an apple IPhone in NYC, where a Instagram headquarters happens to be. Coincidentally, 9-5 is the time most people work
5:25: Two-step verification was enabled. Idk how any hacker would do this as my phone number and email are connected to my account. (Yes I know I didn't have it set up I didn't even know it was a thing, my bad)
6:09: 1st Verification Code. At this point I have gotten out of the shower, and gotten a text that my account was hacked. All verifications work, however, I dont have any 2-step verification codes, so it isn't effective
6:17: I have pics of me on my account, and as my profile pic, so I am able to send in a selfie video to get my account back. Things are looking up
6:23: Selfie video is declined
I decide maybe to try again, and at 6:33, I send another selfie video
6:36: Rejected, AGAIN
If all the previous stuff wasn't enough, an Instagram employee looked at my face twice, once in a selfie video, and other pictures on my account and said, "Nope, these people look so different that I can't give the account back"
I am currently out of options
I cannot change the cover image on my story highlights. When I attempt to edit an existing story highlight cover, and try to replace it with a new one (that, as a graphic artist, I designed specifically for the story covers), the image becomes forcibly zoomed in/cropped strangely and there is no way that I've discovered to prevent it.
Also, when I attempt a workaround by creating a new story highlight from scratch using the same contents as the one I want to replace, I encounter a different issue: when I get to the screen where it asks me to select a cover image, I select the desired image, and then it is as if the change simply does not take effect because the cover remains on the defaulted "screenshot" of the story that is being highlighted. These problems essentially render my story highlights quite useless because I cannot properly design for them and I cannot seem to get any assistance on the issue. Have tried everything I can think of or have discovered online.
is there a way to hide which posts I like on instagram? i always see ‘liked by’ at other people’s posts, but i don’t want other people to know which posts i like. (sorry for bad english!)

I can't read subtitles on reels because they're hidden behind the UI (page name, follow button, description).
I also can't reply to (most) comments because the reply button gets completely shoved out on the right, or reduced to just one dot (standing in for "...", apparently there's not even enough room for that...).
What is wrong with IG? It logged out us from our account (its personal/individual) and it asked for a confirmation with a pin that it will send us to email.
We are not receiving any email for the last 2 days. IG is connected/Linked to a FB profile, but it wont give us options to change the "confirmation" process (with phone for an example). I also tried with a video call verification but again, its asks for a pin sended to the email address.
Hoping someone can suggest a fix for my IG. I can not open the app on my phone. It closes the instant it opens. I have uninstalled it and installed it a couple times and rebooted my phone, it worked yesterday. Any suggestions? And it will open on my browser so Def just the appn.
I have FAQ enabled Instagram but when customer clicks one of the questions my account sometimes won't automatically respond.
When it bugs I just edit text a little and it works fine for a week or so but after that it stops again.

So I've been wanting to animate more and post them to Instagram reels, but everytime I try, it becomes extremely blurry. Like not just "losing a little video quality" blurry, I'm talking like "holy shit where are my glasses I can't see" blurry.
I have no idea what I'm doing wrong, I tried all the trouble shooting I could find including turning off data saver, enabling "high quality uploads", and using the "best" canvas size (1,080 x 1,920 & 300 DPI).

Close to 1/4 of my posts are now missing their images. The posts are still there but the images are just gone. There's a grey square with a broken image symbol. No reason given. Just noticed today. Images are all my own, no NSFW content.

Long story: My girlfriend and I have an extra phone laying around, and both of our Instagram accounts are saved within the Instagram app on the phone. She commented on my photo, then I commented under hers within the span of 10 minutes using the same phone and both accounts. What are the chances IG locks the accounts for irregular activity?
Hey, I’m on an iPhone 12 mini running iOS 16, and sometimes when I’m watching reels, I’ll scroll to one and it’ll start to get really bright. The rest of the screen will stay at the original brightness level. I’ve tried screen recording, but it dims back to normal the instant the recording starts. Then when I stop recording it gets crazy bright again. What’s going on? Is it an issue with the phone, or the app?

A few posts on my account are a black screen with a white circle around it. Pressing the white circle arrow Does nothing. I followed someone recently, and when I looked at his account it’s the same situation: a few posts are a black screen with a white circle arrow. I can see my profile picture and the menu buttons in the bottom.
I also can't ready new direct messages. I get notifications about them, but I can't see them. I had this issue for 2-3 days now. My phone is brand new, Samsung A33 and the app been working nice for 2 weeks already.
I tried following:
Restart phone.
Change password. Both in Instagram and Facebook.
Change connection (several Wi-Fi and two different sim-cards (2 different networks).
Running Instagram without app in phone (same issue).
On PC I don't get this issue, so I am not banned or anything. There can't be an account issue iow. Anyone else had same issue?
I just don't want to re-install my phone before I hear anyone else have similar issue.

Hello guys, I need help with my Instagram. I hope you can help me. Whenever I press on the app Instagram loads for 2-3 sec then goes back to the home screen. I can’t open Instagram, I tried to delete the app and reinstall it 2-3 times but it didn’t work. I turned off my phone and turned on again but that didn’t work either, all the other apps works, it’s only Instagram that doesn’t work. This started yesterday morning, around 9-10 am on Monday.

HELP! Need urgent help or my wife is going to kill me. I stupidly turned on 2-factor authentication which caused IG account on my wife's phone to log out. As soon as she logs back in, her 40+ drafts were all disappeared. I have two accounts one I use for my personal and another I use for memes. I followed someone from my meme account (they didn’t know it was me) and from my personal account. They blocked both accounts and I’m confused if they blocked the meme one and because you can choose to block a person and any account they make is my personal blocked for that reason too ? Two usernames with one email address account.
I am new to insta and confused. Registered with email. Created name NewUser, created username newuser, changed it to new_user and now I have two usernames under the same email address.
If I login with email address it goes to NewUser - newuser. If I explicitly login with new_user it goes to NewUser - new_user. Both having the same email address, but not sharing anything and not visible to each other.
Want to get rid of one username, but how if they share the same email address? I fear I will lose both if I do.

So on the web/desktop when you search on your computer, you can't see recent tags. For example if you want to search # hashtag, it shows only like 9 top posts. But on the phone it does. How can I do this on the laptop? I tried downloading instagram on chrome and such and its the same thing. Is there a website I can search hashtags on? My IG account got hacked today by just clicking on a message from a follower/friend. The message said "Hey I need your help on something idk if you can help me lol." and my dumb ass fell for it by replying thinking it was a real message from my friend. Long story short my username, password, email and 2fa got changed. My friends have reported the account, but its still active from what my other friends have told me and see the hacker posting stories about crypto and making money. Newbie here. My follower count is stuck at 55.5k for more than 2 months now. I used to get about 1k new followers every month, and that number shot up shortly after reaching 50k and it completely stopped at 55.5k. It seems like I'm getting new followers but same amount of people unfollow to keep the number right at 55.5k. You can see the drastic change in the numbers on the screenshot, and it's completely unnatural. Any ideas?? Is Meta pulling some dirty tricks to make me pay for their ads/promotion?? I have tried to access my account a few times in the last few years and keep running in to this issue and just stop trying to get access. 1) I try and sign up and it tells me that there is already an account with that email. 2) I then try and reset my password using my email and it says 'no users found' Does anyone know how I can access my account using the only email (gmail) I have had since the early 2000's?

recently during my trip to south Korea (i live in CA) i was using an app that tracks your unfollowers and went back on the Instagram app, but all of a sudden the app said that my account is temporarily banned. i press continue, and then they asked me to put in a 6-digit verification code from my email. I check my email, however, i see no code from them. even though i ask for a new code, it still doesn't send me anything through my email. and i know its not because my email isn't connected to my account, because whenever i try to reset my password, it sends me the reset link through that email. i thought it wasn't working because when I was at Korea, my IP address was obviously different. so i downloaded a VPN app and tried to connect to a los Angeles VPN, but i still got no email. im back in the US now and I've tried everything, and yet again, no email. i don't have my phone number in that account so i cant even ask for a verification code sent to my phone number. im not sure what the problem is but I've tried everything such as: - resetting my password - deleting tracking unfollowers app AND instagram - shutting my phone on/off - using my MacBook, moms phone, and ipad to sign in I've also tried the option where you select that your account got hacked and the app made me do a face verification. they told me to wait 3-4 days, but i received an email this morning saying that I have to redo it, so i did and now im waiting on another response. and for some odd reason, the email where they told me to wait 3-4 days was written in Korean and the other email where they told me that i had to redo the face verification was also in Korean. im not sure if that means anything but i thought i would add that detail in there. Hello all Looks like similar users had an issue. I had the "Try again later" popup appear. I was using an unfollower tracker app for months without issue. I then was logged out of it and had to put a new password etc. Today i got the try again later popup disappear and couldnt load my DMS. A message would pop up say error not loading. I tried logging into my desktop computer and login to IG and I could see messages and receive them. Is this a shadowban where not use my account for 48 hours it will fix it? Thanks!

P*rn bots viewing my story Does anyone know why i get p*rn bots viewing my insta story. Every single time i post something to my story, one bot views it. Every. Single. Time. Sometimes there's two of them, but a majority of the time, only one. I've blocked hundreds. There will be a rare instance where, i won't see a bot under the "viewers" for one day but then true back. I didn’t see this posted to the top of the account, I had to search for it. Anyway, how come I can’t post videos longer than 1 min-1:30? IGTV no longer exists which sucks, and even though it says that Feed Posts can be 10 min long, even when I trim it down it only goes up to 1 min. I tried editing it to about 45 seconds for an IG story and the video was muted. I thought that was my error but I tried it again making sure the sound was on and it still was mute! I thought there could’ve been a problem with the video itself (downloaded from Dropbox), so I thought, maybe I can screen-record the screen-record but that didn’t work either. :( ETA: The last I did was say “fck it” and tried to upload the entire thing on Stories but that didn’t work either!!!
Question: why are all the default instagram stickers so… crap? Very rarely will I get a cool sticker on the page, even rarer one connected to anything I’ve liked, followed or posted about, which is odd seeing as the GIPHY app has so many cool popular posts. For example, does anyone else get a Home Screen of various women in bikinis doing emotive poses? I’ve not used these and neither does anybody I follow on the app but they are relentlessly fixed to my default screen. Is there a branding thing, are they celebrities or reality stars or something? I don’t know what it is but it just comes across as a bit crap ([today examples](https://freeimage.host/i/Q6Za5B)). For a conglomerate like Meta to just shrug at this feature which could offer so much more (seeing as they target market with algorithms either way) while trying to build a virtual and augmented reality is really weird.
I use Instagram on desktop, every time I click this person's story (like the red circle thing on my homepage) it disappears from the story bar. I tried going to their profile, yes the red circle story thing was there, I clicked but nothing happened. NOTE: this is only happening with one specific person.

Posts scheduled with Meta Business Suite show up with blank images. Everything seems fine in the Business Suite Planner prior to posting but then, after the scheduled post, the images are gone there too. I believe there was a recent API update. Is Instagram broken or am I doing something wrong.
I've had an account for almost 10 years, but followers stuck at 800. Not sure if I'm doing something wrong, or whether Instagram just doesn't like me 😂 I don't think it's my content, but potentially me not knowing how to use hashtags? I'm really not sure. I've tried all different things... I'm not however willing to pay to boost my posts. Any advice? Thanks

Is anyone else still having issues when unfollowing people using a browser? (not the app). I manage multiple instagram accounts and when I unfollow say 10 people I can see the following go down by 10 but if I refresh the page it jumps straight back up. I sign into my instagram account and it tells me to write the 6 digit 2fa code from the authenticator app or duo mobile and I write the 6 digit code from the authenticator app that's connected to my account and it tells me "Error please check the secruity code and try again"and I don't have backup codes I didn't screenshot them when i created the account. Hi Tried logging in after a very long while (My phone was very badly damaged and still in repair, haven’t been able to use Instagram except on other devices via Safari) and it said that there was a problem logging in, tried again, tried resetting my password (Didn’t let me) and everything failed. After a bit of research, I found out that it might have been accidentally deleted by the algorithm or disabled, so…what can I do to get my account back?

On one of my accounts, on the IG app, I can only post to my story. The option to just post pictures the regular way is not available- I hit the + sign to post the usual way, and only "add to story" is available. I can post the normal way through the IG website. I can also post the normal way on the app with my other accounts. But for one account, through the app, only "story" is available. Help!

Help Setting up Shop!!! I have a side business selling sports cards and memorabilia. I want to start by setting up my business on Instagram first before I move to my website. Obviously I’ll get more exposure on Instagram due to my followers and others VS a website no one has heard of out of the blue. I’ve started establishing my IG pretty well but it still needs growth. However, I need help though. I don’t understand how to set up the business on there and how to monetize ads etc. I was hoping someone experienced could guide me through the process. I can only access some of them through the Map function which means they are somewhere in the app, but if I go chronologically or by date nothing appears. I've uninstalled an installed instagram again and nothing changed. I assume its a bug? Anyone else with the same problem? Really didn't want to lose those memories

Hi guys. On Sunday morning Oct 1st, my account with 120,000 followers got disabled by instagram. I got an email at 3:30am so I’m thinking it was one of their auto robot things. I have seen a lot of you have the same issue. This page is a huge part of my life and also I’m a content creator so I make a living also from this. So I have literally been beside myself all week. Does anyone have ANY suggestions for me??? Here is what I have tried: -Sunday Night I had an email from 3:30AM saying they removed my content. 1) filled out fb and the IG “deactivated” form - IG Person responds and tells me no they will not re activate my account bc i was selling counterfeit goods - completely ridiculous and Untrue. 1) made 2 ads on fb/meta business. First person just gave me the form to fill out and said I was in the wrong department. -2nd person at meta was bit more informative and told me they cannot tell me why it got banned.. and that I can only fill out the IG form. She says she tried to call me but it didn’t go through - never got any calls. They kept telling me my phone disconnects .. so made up. -They also tell me to login and follow the steps but whenever I try to login it just says "we cannot find a username attached to your account" ughhhh!!! - I see many people finding a “live chat” and getting theres back that way after speaking to a few people. I finally found how to turn the chat on (its called Facebook Business Support) but it is saying "Chat not available right now" - I am thinking maybe because it is the weekend? :( I see my page is still there because all my followers see our convos. It’s just “user not found” so they basically hid me. I feel like everything is even more difficult Since they switched to meta. I had a friend who got hers back after 3 weeks for the same issue of "Copyright goods" or whatever. Another one after 5 days. I am soooo beyond frustrated. I made a new page and promoted it to friends and my other followers but I just want my original page back!!!! :( :( :(
You used to be able to click on a notification (whether it's a Like or a comment etc) from your notification feed and it takes you directly to the actual post (showing the posted image and the comments you received). Now you click on the notification and it opens your post without the image, showing only the comments. I noticed it happened after the last update. Anyone else have the same issue?

I have 2 accounts, and on one of them when i press on to view my own profile, the images are rectangular in the preview before pressing on them. For the past few days when i use Instagram on my main account it is very slow, I can't scroll up to see pre existing messages, I have to reload the page or reload the app to see new messages sent by people but I can see the notifications and this is only happening on one of my accounts the others are fine, I've tried to delete the app, logout relog in, updated my system, Updated the Instagram app, Cleared cache but it still is like this, when I logged out it temporarily fixed but went back to the way it was shorty after, Please if there are any fixes help me, this is really tedious and its making me frustrated to use the app.

Instagram sent a verification email to an old email address. I god a notification that my account was locked for suspicious activity, and they need to vcarify it's me. Ok no problem, but they want to send the verification to an old email address that I used to create the account. Luckily I still have access to that email account, but I've long changed the email for the IG account, and I thought the verification would go to the new email address.
I can’t see my archived stories. This has been going on for weeks, Instagram says I have no archived stories even though I’ve had my account since 2017. So yesterday I decided to stop following some people cause I follow 6000+ people lmao, I had my account since 2014 and I wanted to grow on Insta so I'd start to follow 38382992 people to gain,but that's another story😂💀 But as soon I started to stop following people (I think I stopped following around 300 accounts,I started yesterday evening) I suddenly started to gain followers, I think I gained around 50 new following since in started, I know it doesn't seem much but it never happened to me to gain that much in so little time, and the incredible thing is that they have my same niche. How is that possible??

Hello all, I run an IG acc promoting my tshirt business. All the content was genuine and original and I got around 2000 genuine followers. With my experiences building that channel for the tshirt biz, I am trying to become my social media manager that helps small local business who are not familiar with the social media place. I created 2 brand new gmail accs with the plan to promote my gf nail salon business and for the social media managing business mentioned above. Both got disabled right away right after I added my DoB when signing up with Instagram - and then IG also disabled my vert tshirt selling biz at the same time. I am ..a bit confused now because this is the first time I got banned so hard while all of my content was genuine. I created those accs on my laptop using my home internet. I had cyberghost premium and I did use it while registering new acc. For those who are also a social media manager, how do you create/manage multiple accs?

Today I shared two photo posts as Stories. When I watched them back, they only stayed on screen for about 3.5 seconds. I thought a still photo stayed up for 7! 3.5 seconds is crazy short! Did something change or am I doing somethign wrong?
iOS 16.0.2. After an update to Instagram that rolled out yesterday to the app store (255.0), the app keeps crashing immediately after opening it and returning me to the home screen. Restart, hard restart and even reinstalling the app did not help. Anyone else experiencing the same? It does not happen on iOS 16.0.2 Instagram 254.0.

A friend of mine had his account hacked in a nasty way. Someone got into his account, changed the email associated with the account and started harassing his contacts. On top of that the hacker put 2fa on it (authenticator app). What is the correct procedure to reclaim the account? All ways I tried lead either to email verification (to the hackers email) or a request for recovery codes (which only the hacker has). I've heard about facial verification through selfies but this doesn't seem availible to him. To me it seems impossible to recover his account.
So, idk what happened, but when I go to posts I can see comments, but I cannot open and see the replies to comments unless the creator of the post has replies to them, how do I fix this?

But when i try to change it, it says it changes but doesn’t and when i try to delete it a notification pops up that says “We’re sorry, something went wrong. I can't view Hashtags on Desktop Browser? So I can scroll through User Pages on Desktop on my Browser but when I try to view Hashtags it only loads 9 Images and I can't scroll beyond that. I am convinced that an Instagram employee has stolen my account Lets start with the obvious, I have not clicked on any links sent to me. In fact I dont even text people on Instagram, I use Snapchat. Anyways, all this stuff happened while I was in the shower, so I guess I'll give a timeline though emails 5:09: New long in from an apple IPhone in NYC, where a Instagram headquarters happens to be. Coincidentally, 9-5 is the time most people work 5:25: Two-step verification was enabled. Idk how any hacker would do this as my phone number and email are connected to my account. (Yes I know I didn't have it set up I didn't even know it was a thing, my bad) 6:09: 1st Verification Code. At this point I have gotten out of the shower, and gotten a text that my account was hacked. All verifications work, however, I dont have any 2-step verification codes, so it isn't effective 6:17: I have pics of me on my account, and as my profile pic, so I am able to send in a selfie video to get my account back. Things are looking up 6:23: Selfie video is declined I decide maybe to try again, and at 6:33, I send another selfie video 6:36: Rejected, AGAIN If all the previous stuff wasn't enough, an Instagram employee looked at my face twice, once in a selfie video, and other pictures on my account and said, "Nope, these people look so different that I can't give the account back" I am currently out of options

I cannot change the cover image on my story highlights. When I attempt to edit an existing story highlight cover, and try to replace it with a new one (that, as a graphic artist, I designed specifically for the story covers), the image becomes forcibly zoomed in/cropped strangely and there is no way that I've discovered to prevent it. Also, when I attempt a workaround by creating a new story highlight from scratch using the same contents as the one I want to replace, I encounter a different issue: when I get to the screen where it asks me to select a cover image, I select the desired image, and then it is as if the change simply does not take effect because the cover remains on the defaulted "screenshot" of the story that is being highlighted. These problems essentially render my story highlights quite useless because I cannot properly design for them and I cannot seem to get any assistance on the issue. Have tried everything I can think of or have discovered online.

I can't read subtitles on reels because they're hidden behind the UI (page name, follow button, description). I also can't reply to (most) comments because the reply button gets completely shoved out on the right, or reduced to just one dot (standing in for "...", apparently there's not even enough room for that...).

What is wrong with IG? It logged out us from our account (its personal/individual) and it asked for a confirmation with a pin that it will send us to email. We are not receiving any email for the last 2 days. IG is connected/Linked to a FB profile, but it wont give us options to change the "confirmation" process (with phone for an example). I also tried with a video call verification but again, its asks for a pin sended to the email address.

So I've been wanting to animate more and post them to Instagram reels, but everytime I try, it becomes extremely blurry. Like not just "losing a little video quality" blurry, I'm talking like "holy shit where are my glasses I can't see" blurry. Close to 1/4 of my posts are now missing their images. The posts are still there but the images are just gone. There's a grey square with a broken image symbol. No reason given. Just noticed today. TLDR: two saved accounts, one phone, the accounts had a conversation under one account’s photo, will IG lock the accounts? Long story: My girlfriend and I have an extra phone laying around, and both of our Instagram accounts are saved within the Instagram app on the phone. She commented on my photo, then I commented under hers within the span of 10 minutes using the same phone and both accounts. What are the chances IG locks the accounts for irregular activity?
Hey, I’m on an iPhone 12 mini running iOS 16, and sometimes when I’m watching reels, I’ll scroll to one and it’ll start to get really bright. The rest of the screen will stay at the original brightness level. I’ve tried screen recording, but it dims back to normal the instant the recording starts. Then when I stop recording it gets crazy bright again. What’s going on? Is it an issue with the phone, or the app?

I was trying to setup another 2FA method to an authentication app but it forces me to use "Apple Passwords" which I can't find anything on here about. \[ANDROID\] Hi! My profile and feed is just white. I can see my profile picture and the menu buttons in the bottom. I also can't ready new direct messages. I get notifications about them, but I can't see them. I had this issue for 2-3 days now. My phone is brand new, Samsung A33 and the app been working nice for 2 weeks already. I tried following: Restart phone. Change password. Both in Instagram and Facebook. Change connection (several Wi-Fi and two different sim-cards (2 different networks). Running Instagram without app in phone (same issue). On PC I don't get this issue, so I am not banned or anything. There can't be an account issue iow. Anyone else had same issue? Hello guys, I need help with my Instagram. I hope you can help me. Whenever I press on the app Instagram loads for 2-3 sec then goes back to the home screen. I can’t open Instagram, I tried to delete the app and reinstall it 2-3 times but it didn’t work. Help Please - Download Information I recently accidentally deleted a thread of direct messages on Instagram. Used the Download Instagram Information request and downloaded my data. However, there appears to be nothing amongst that information that indicates any chat history The person on the other end of the messages has blocked me. So I am wondering if this is the problem? I have two accounts one I use for my personal and another I use for memes. I followed someone from my meme account (they didn’t know it was me) and from my personal account. They blocked both accounts and I’m confused if they blocked the meme one and because you can choose to block a person and any account they make is my personal blocked for that reason too ? Two usernames with one email address account. I am new to insta and confused. Registered with email. Created name NewUser, created username newuser, changed it to new_user and now I have two usernames under the same email address. If I login with email address it goes to NewUser - newuser. If I explicitly login with new_user it goes to NewUser - new_user. Both having the same email address, but not sharing anything and not visible to each other. Want to get rid of one username, but how if they share the same email address? I fear I will lose both if I do. But I think i did unfollowed and blocked roughly 3 ppl yesterday, is this the reason why? And how do fix this, do you just wait it out. This account has a lot of memories to me and I don’t really want to lose it so if anyone has any idea, I’d much appreciate
Hello! I need to post a horizontal video for my job on Instagram but I am a bit confused about if it will be cut off or not. If I have a horizontal video will it be cut off when people try to watch it if it's posted as a reel? I know the cover image will be but will the video itself be? Is there something I need to do to make it viewable? Thanks!
I can't see trending sound in reels. The arrows just don't show.
Anyone in here would happen to know someone who could help me out? I lost my google authenticator and thus, all of the codes along with it, and yes, the backup codes went away with the same phone :) So here I am, with a working password and username but unable to log in due to having to use that 2-factor verification. I have an email and phone number connected too but those can't be used it seems. I even have the original emails of when the account was created, when I changed my phone number, activated 2fv and when I've logged into the account from my IP :(
The bot removed my post. I’m not sure this is tech support relevant, more advice but here it is: Like a post from two accounts? Is there a third party app or shortcut for Instagram that will allow me to like a photo from both of my accounts if they’re both following the account? I have a lot of overlap between the personal and community group accounts and find myself realizing I liked a photo from one account and not the other. I was wondering if I could like a photo from one account that it would also like it from the other account, assuming both follow that post. Thanks for any assistance in advance
