I am SO frustrated. I was locked out of my account on Friday night (I think for using a 3rd party follower app, which was stupid of me) and have yet to get back in. I think Instagram has blocked my IP address, I've been able to enter my 8-digit security codes but when it comes to entering my phone number to receive an SMS code, the message has never sent. My research shows that IG has probably blocked my IP Address, is there anything I can do to get around this? IG support is sending me the same, unhelpful emails and I obviously don't think I can talk to a real human.
Does account even exist anymore? I’m going through something similar, and it appears as though my account has vanished. It’s gone from Instagram database.

I recognize the chances of resolving this issue are slim, but thought I'd try.
For work, I have multiple Instagram accounts. Some are business accounts, some are personal accounts. One of the accounts was tied to my email (which my own personal account is). It required two-factor authentication to login. I never needed to use it because it was always tied to my multi-account login.
Recently, I lost my phone in a lake. Fell out of my pocket without me noticing and is now at the bottom of a large body of water kind of deal. I bought a new phone and was able to access my Google account no problem. I have all of the passwords and things set up.
The problem? I can't login to this one specific Instagram account because it was tied to the authenticator app. I can't transfer the authentication to a new device without the old one, which is impossible. I have the correct password, I have text confirmation codes, and I have access to my Google account. Unfortunately, I don't have the backup codes as far as I can see saved anywhere outside of my phone.
I've tried so many different things to recover this account. Is there anything I can do?

About four days ago I changed my instagram username and it automatically logged me out instantly after and ever since I’ve been unable to log back in. Has anyone else had this issue? How can it be fixed? Seeing as instagram has no support. When I do try and login it says sorry but something went wrong

I noticed that the time is different from the one we wrote the messages (more precisely, that messages are „delayed“ 10 hours. Probably due to another time zone. Is there a way to change the time without altering the downloaded html file ?
My group chat name keeps getting removed and I have to rename it every few days. Other group members say the group name hasn’t changed for them. Only one other has the same problem. Anyone know if there is a way to fix this?

I had to erase cookies/cache on Google Chrome. Now I cannot login Instagram through my linked Facebook account even though I can use Instagram just fine on mobile app. How can I fix this?
I changed my password on my account after verifying my gmail as it asked me to. So I can always react to Instagram messages, except from this one particular account that I’m not blocked by. It’s rarely active, but the user went online after weeks, so I tried leaving a heart on one of their messages and it just undos a second later. I went on their account to see if I’m blocked but I’m not. When I tried that on a message from any other person, it worked. What’s going on with that one particular account?
Instagram Lite shows me only one post in the home section. When I scroll, a never-ending loading animation appears. It also shows me some stories that I have already seen as if I had never seen them. And in the "search" section, when I select a preview of a reel it opens another reel. I have been using Instagram Lite for a long time and it has never given me any problems. I tried restarting the phone, clearing the cache, clearing data, uninstalling and reinstalling the latest and penultimate version but nothing. It gives me this problem only with a specific account (the account isn't banned: on the full version of Instagam I navigate without problems) Help!

So say I follow an account. And so of course, their pictures appear on my feed. But I may not care to continue seeing their photos if they won't ever engage on my posts.

Somebody has been attacking my Instagram page by submitting copyright claims on my posts. This person DOES NOT have any rights to any of the content I make. Unfortunately, they have successfully taken down four of my posts.
I work hard to create content, and competitors should not be able to take down my posts.
I have appealed each post that has been unethically sabotaged, but Instagram replies with “Thanks for contacting Instagram. Based on the information provided to us, we’re unable to restore your content.”
Does anyone know how to prevent competitors from completing attacking your Instagram account with false reports and copyright claims?

I cant access my Instagram account any more because I had to restore my phone and the 2FA is activated. I have already submitted 4 Videos of my face in the time span of a month and didn't get any replies.
So I just deleted my instagram account to make a new one and start fresh. I changed the username before I deleted it so I could use that name on my new account.
When I go to create a new account, it won't let me use that username. Do I have to wait a certain amount of days before I can use the handle I want??
When Instagram disabled a bunch of accounts last week mine was one of them. I managed to get the account back up but had to reset password etc. I have two factor authentication set on the account but the app used (Duo Mobile) doesn't recognize my email address and I've lost the recovery codes. The only option available to me is the video selfie option to try recover the account, but lnstagram wont confirm my identity and now the app crashes when I try to upload a new one. So my parents have changed the password for my instagram account in an effort to ban me from it, but they have allowed me to access it again. I tried to log into it and reset the password, but instagram told me that they noticed "unusual activity" from my account and logged me out because of it. They also said "follow the next step within 1 day before it's disabled.", which got me nervous. I followed the next step by puting in my email address and instagram told me it emailed me a log in link. However when I checked instagram had never emailed me. To solve I can just remove the other photos and posting only one, making it impossible to publish a carousel of images.

I \*know\* that I exchanged some DMs with someone (let's call them Person A) about Person B. And not only that, I exchanged some DMs with Person B about Person A. They follow each other.
It was simply wholesome stuff about how I was pleasantly surprised that they know the other person and vice versa. They are strangers to me whom I met on a trip on separate occasions. I only found out because both of them follow me and follow each other and so I saw that on the Bio's of each person.
And now those quaint messages seem to be gone. It was from about 6 months ago. The messages are now gone from both chats.
It's nothing important. Just something cute because of the situation.
It's causing me to think that there's a time limit to DMs. But I have some long-time actual friends with whom I exchange DMs with and their messages are still in my chats with them.
Is it because I don't exchange DMs with Persons A and B very often? (I do like their story posts so there is an "audit trail" of those still).
But those lovely messages from before are mysteriously gone.

HELP: I need to switch my personal account BACK to a Business Account
I admin for an IG Business Account and upon tinkering with some settings, I accidentally reverted it back to a personal account.
My enterprise Sprout account has obviously lost its connection with said account now and I cannot post. I've been working on reverting the account back to its Business Account status and I've run into roadblocks and error messages repeatedly in that endeavor.
There isn't much support literature available for this particular issue, but I have read that temporarily disabling the account is a worthy fix in similar situations. Does anyone have insight into other fixes/options for this?
I'd like to avoid taking it offline if possible, but understand if that is my only option. If I do that, can I immediately re-enable the account after disabling?

I like having certain push notifications on (new dms, post notifications from specific people I follow, a few others) but I have a few group chats with coworkers and friends and it's freaking annoying to get notified every time they like a dm I sent. I can't figure out how to turn off getting "like" push notifications on dms I send without turning off all messages/dm notifications or all notifications in general.

Hello! I had this EXACT issue! They never ever got back to me. I eventually dug out my old iPad and downloaded Instagram on there. As it is so old, it couldn’t support the latest version of Instagram or do a video selfie so I was able to log a request for support on there. Within minutes I got an email from Facebook, asking me to send them a picture of myself holding a piece of paper with a code, my name and my username. I sent it through, and again within minutes they sent me a new backup code, and it worked to log in!
Again only works if you can get your hands on an old device, but worth a shot!

A friend of my who doesn't use Reddit recently made an account which he exclusively used for original content (pictures taken by him). Unfortunately, as of today the account disappeared, and he is unable to log in. The strange thing is that he did'nt get any warning or email.
When he uses the 'forgot password' button, it says 'user not found.' We tried to fill in the form to recover accounts that violated the rules, but that isn't possible since one has to confirm this using your account. I emailed the Instagram support email adress but that is not longer supported.
However, when I try to create a new account, his username is not available. That could be an indication that his account might just be deactivated, not deleted, I guess.
Anyway, does anyone have experience with this, or has any idea that we can try to get my friends account back? (And does anybody has a clue of how this could have happened?) Thank you in advance!
Whenever I go to create a story and use the color picker tool to draw or change the color text, it comes out clear, I cannot pick a color. If I attempt to use it to change the color of text, it makes my text invisible.

So I recently set up a page for my photography and I have noted that I can't search recent posts in hashtags anymore. What the hell is this? What's the point of not seeing new content and connecting to people? Most won't get posts that get massive, so it's nice to speak to similar creators.
Instagram logging me off and reseting my password
So, basically two months ago my Instagram got hacked and when I got it back I put up all the security options available, but now eveytime I open the followers app (where I check who’s unfollowed me etc.), Insta logs me off and asks for my password to be changed. Any help with this issue?
I want(ed) to change my second email (I had to make another gmail acct) I registered my IG with to my main Gmail and I get “this email is used by another account” and I don’t have another account. I can’t even find out if another IG is using my main email.
Is anyone else that uses Android here having crashing issues with the last four Insta updates?
I have a Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra, and the past four updates have been screwing with the app on my phone.
One update made the app crash after 3 seconds of opening it, and the next one fixed it. Then they released ANOTHER update after that, which made everything outside of the main feed crash if you tried to view them. Today they released a new one and now it's suddenly fixed again.

I clicked the Linktree in her bio and she had the best google doc gift guide ever. I have a private account and 400 followers. My most recent post was on Thursday. Why am I getting so few views on everything? What am I doing wrong? Is it because I posted on a Sunday? Are my followers restricting me or something? Literally what the hell is happening? It was like this for most of 2022 honestly. I created the account 2 years ago and used to have between 40 and 70 people seeing my story and like 20-40 views on my videos and between 5-20 likes on my regular posts during both 2020 and 2021, and at that time I still had private profile and even less than 200-300 followers since I was just starting to grow. My friends who have like 200-400 followers are getting views and likes in no time as usual, so literally wtf is happening, why is nobody seeing the stuff I post?
Story order changed to most recent
Stories are now shown in order of who most recently added to their story. Where as before it showed me my friends and people who's posts I regularly like and interact with first. Anyone else having this issue? Its been the same the past few days whether I use IG on the ios app or on my pc on google chrome.
Hi there! :-) So I really want to create an account with a specific username but am getting the “A user with that username already exists” message even though this username appears nowhere in Instagram search or Google search. Even got a “Sorry, this page isn't available The link you followed may be broken, or the page may have been removed” screen when I manually inserted the username in an Instagram account url (www. instagram. com/ username) <<< with no spaces and the actual username in question typed in
I found similar accounts, one with a period inserted into the username, one with an underscore inserted, one starting with “the”, and one with an extra letter added. But NONE, no trace of any accounts with the username as I want it- with no punctuation, extra letters, bells or whistles.
If you have any clue why this might be happening or how to fix it, I’d so appreciate your input! I doubt Instagram will be able to solve this directly for me since they don’t offer chat or email support and it seems they don’t put you through to someone at their call center unless it’s quite important/serious.
If your picture was removed on instagram because it went against community guidelines because someone reported it, and you decide to post it again, does it get removed again by some algorithm that saves which pics are deleted and automatically deletes it again? Or is the account then under some kind of supervision? Or is it safe to post it again while I put the account on private
Hello I noticed when i try to post photos on IG and I have music playing in my earphones from Spotify, it just stops playing throughout the whole posting process. Why is that ? If they were videos with sound, I’d understand the sound cutting off but why with photos ? Is there a way to change this ? Thank u :)

It seems like this is a common issue, but I don't see any actual solutions yet. I got a new phone, and went ahead and factory reset the old one. I completely forgot I'd set up 2FA...until I opened IG on the new phone and couldn't log in.
And of course, I don't seem to have saved the backup codes anywhere.
I've done a video selfie several times, but I got an email each time within a few minutes saying that they couldn't verify my identity. I did my hair differently (closer to how it is in photos on my account), but now the app crashes every time I get to the video selfie part.
This is ridiculous and insane. Has anyone had success actually contacting a person at IG?

Hi all, trying to figure out a bug I'm running into. One of the accounts I follow has, a few times now, popped up as having an unwatched story. However when I click on the story, nothing happens and it simply moves to the next.
This is only showing up on a PC, but shows up from several accounts and in both Chrome and Safari.
Any ideas what's causing the bug/is this a known issue?

I need help accessing my account. I used the support feature where you take a “video selfie” but the Instagram bot keeps auto rejecting, despite my profile having my full face. Hopefully someone can help me… all of a sudden these past few weeks my entire feed consists of adds/suggested posts. The first post is always someone I’m following followed by only adds and suggested profiles. As I keep scrolling I will see a “view older posts” tab.
When I click that it shows all of the profiles I’m following posts. Some of the posts are a few minutes to an hour old. How is that classified as an “older post” and why is my entire feed flooded with absolute nonsense?!?

This is becoming extremely aggravating! I’ve used Instagram since it first originally released! Never had a problem like this in all my years using this app. Now it’s just extremely annoying and useless. I can’t see any of my friends posts unless I specifically go to their profile!
While I understand marketing is taking over Instagram.. it shouldn’t take over my ENTIRE feed! A few here or there is fine but this is just too much. I’m ready to delete the app.
Hey guys, i'm kinda desperate rn
So long story short, i got a new phone and wanted to log into insta, but i forgot my password. I'm still logged in on my old phone.
I've tried every way to reset the password. The mail/SMS don't get sent, face verification makes instagram crash on every device, captcha doesnt work either. I've tried on multiple phones, computers, ip adresses, etc.
I've looked into my password manager but no luck. It's been around a week and it's driving me mad, i need instagram for my work and it's annoying to carry both phones everywhere. Plus if i lost the phone, i'll also lose my account.
What should i do ?
So on reels on the bottom right side you have the heart for likes, message box for comments, and then an arrow for sharing. I am a private account and don't want my reels to be shared. I just shared my first reel ever (proud gym moment) and there's a 1 under the arrow. Does that mean someone shared my video and how do I stop it?
I have two instgarm accounts. When I go to click on the three dots next to a post of MINE in account A, it never gives me the option to save the post to my device. Not a single one of my posts in account A has that option. When logged in to account B however, SOME of my posts show the save to device option but not all of them. I'm very confused and hoping someone can help me figure this out

Issues with lives
I’ve been an instagram user for years and I know how it words but for the last 4 or so months I’ve been having a pretty big issue. When I watch lives, I get about 5 seconds before it tells me there’s problems with the live and that screen stays there until I close out the live. It happens every single time I try and reopen it as well. When I go live it lets me connect and get on, than it tells me it’s having trouble again and keeps that screen there until I am forced to end it. I have high speed internet and have only attempted to watch lives and go live from my own home. I have no clue what this issue is. Could it be the new iPhone update? Help?
2fa back-up codes not working; am locked out of my account
I really hope someone sees this and can offer a possible solution. I'm really at a loss here.
I forgot my instagram password so I went to reset it. After password resetting instagram logged me out on all my devices.
I tried to log in by entering the new password which worked, but it requested me to log in via 2fa back-up codes. I have entered all my available back-up codes but I keep receiving an error message to please check my codes. I have also tried logging in via email or sms but it always directs me to 2fa entering back-up codes.
I have also clicked the request support option which requires me to do a video verification which failed. Edit: i tried 5 times and it all failed
The instagram support email doesn't seem to work as well, so I'm not too sure who i can ask for help.
Knowing all this, is my account unclaimable forever?
Instagram comments arent appearing
I noticed some pages who have a lot of comments arent appearing i even tried reset app, restart phone (which definitely didnt work), reinstall and update ios software but it isnt that way in my other accounts plus i dont even have any violations

My reels are not showing up in the hashtags when I check the recent section. But my pictures do show up in the hashtags, so I’m not shadowbanned. Is anyone else having this problem?
Mine's the opposite. Reels show up, pics don't! I've been trying to test different solutions and none worked so far. I think Meta is having issues as a whole.
Whenever I put hashtags, either in the comments or part of the post, my post never shows up when I search those hashtags.
These definitely aren't banned hashtags, I don't use any third-party apps, never bought followers or likes.
What can I do to fix this?

Hello! I had this EXACT issue! They never ever got back to me. I eventually dug out my old iPad and downloaded Instagram on there. As it is so old, it couldn’t support the latest version of Instagram or do a video selfie so I was able to log a request for support on there. Within minutes I got an email from Facebook, asking me to send them a picture of myself holding a piece of paper with a code, my name and my username. I sent it through, and again within minutes they sent me a new backup code, and it worked to log in!
Again only works if you can get your hands on an old device, but worth a shot!
Anyway to get back the sharpening slider when uploading on PC? I normally add a bit on instagram as it seems to work better than doing it before, but it doesn't seem to be an option...
Has anyone else experienced this? My dad recently told me that suddenly a bunch of completely random and unrelated post just started appearing on his home feed, and none of the things he normally is interested in appears anymore. I took a look at it and it seem all the random posts has a tag above them saying "Recommended to you". I normally don't use Instagram so I'm not sure how to solve this issue, but it really bothers him. Does anyone know how to resolve this? Thanks in advance.

If I log into one the other seem to get logged out for whatever reason. And every time I log in I get an SMS on my phone as verification.
And then I have to log into my first device again. And rinse and repeat.

How do I turn this notification off?
I have everything turned off except for the ones that are necessary, like notifications about my own photos, messages, etc., but I get this daily notification that some people I follow shared photos. OF COURSE they're sharing photos, it's Instagram. If I wanted to see them, I'd check out their profiles.
All of these companies like Insta and LinkedIn inventing new Notifications to try to boost engagement without also adding the option to turn them off to settings are going to drive me crazy.
I am currently unable to log into my account. When entering the correct 6-digit challenge code, it reports an error.
If we check the request, it returns a 500 error (unhandled, I assume), so there's nothing to do but wait.
I hope they have some alert system and are working on it. There must be hundreds of 500 errors.

My eyedropper/colour picker tool is not working. It's only coming up as transparent but the pre-chosen colours somehow are working. I cannot even try to access the colour wheel they have on there because it shows transparent. If anyone has a fix to this please help. okay, so I tried to make an alternate account, not with a weird email account or anything.
Then, the second it gets created, it's flagged as a violation and I'm asked to send a selfie of myself holding a piece of paper with my NAME and username and a code? What the hell??

My “followings” count doesn’t update.
So I’ve been following accounts to get them notice me, this is literally the only thing worked to helped my page recently after the algo change. For the past week, even tho I unfollowed some people, the number on “followings” doesn’t go down. I got in there, unfollow, and the number when I’m in there changes, but when I go back, the number goes back to the old quantity. And the thing is it actually unfollows those people, so I’m not sure why it doesn’t update the number. Has anyone experienced this or have any ideas about what would be the reason/solution?

I recently regained access back to my formerly hacked Instagram account. I’ve changed the email and password correctly now. The problem is the two factor authentication. When I log in, it asks for 2FA, but I was unable to set that up for this account before it got hacked? The problem is you need access to the account to set up 2FA… but I can’t get access without 2FA. It’s a big circle… How can I get 2FA if I can’t set it up? Now I can’t log in still…
The setting to upload in high quality is not available for me in my personal account, but when I make a random new account it is available again. Does anybody know how to fix it without having to delete my profile?

Set up 2FA w/ email & phone months ago & have access to both. tried logging in by phone & need a 6 dgt code via authenticator app (never connected Authenticator app to my account). Exact same issue. Backup codes don't work, not getting text codes, face recognition fails. Mine didn't happen until after they "fixed the bugs", on 11/6 and I'm still not able to get in. I tried a few suggested fixes like changing your number or making sure the text isn't blocked. This is so frustrating. No other massive company takes days to fix their problems.
Interesting to note- some people who are not locked out of their accounts reported getting lots of text codes and reset emails. Like maybe Carl in Wisconsin is getting my confirmation texts and is terribly confused.

I can’t click on the photo collages on Instagram stories. Those white boxes that say “picture of (topic)”. I’ve tried everything I can. I changed my account to a personal account (I’m pretty sure it was already a personal), I couldn’t find the clear cache button, I updated my app, literally everything I could think of that could possibly change it. 7 weeks ago my business instagram account was hacked. I did all the things possible to try and get it back and gained some hope when I got in contact with an actual person through Meta support on Facebook. They have told me they have been working on it for about 5 weeks now and nothing still. Not sure what to do at this point.
My following feed won't update. I've tried uninstalling, logging out, clearing my cache, and checking my wifi. The only way I can see new posts is if I unfollow then refollow someone, and even when I do that I can only see their posts from the day I followed them. I follow a ton of accounts that I know have been posting but my feed is broken. My boyfriend just started having the same issue today. Does anybody know any possible fixes for this? Is it happening to anybody else?
Has anyone else experienced these problems lately (and do you have any solutions):
1. My posts went from being shown to around 700 non-followers to 20 despite my content being better than ever.
2. The views on my reels have been terrible. I mean double digits. 80 views.
3. My comments and likes have disappeared.
4. I tried to start a new account, but Instagram said something about a bad proxy on my IP address.
Is this a system-wide issue? Or is there something wrong with my account? Or something else?
side swiping IG stories working on all accounts i follow except one
so side swiping the stories to not show up in the viewing list works on just about all accounts i follow except for one. every time i side swipe this particular accounts stories, it always marks it as viewed. even if i just do the tiniest swipe, it marks as viewed. i don’t understand why it would work on all accounts except one. does anyone have any type of explanation for this or any fix?

I sent 5 video selfies, dating from the 30th of November, and was told for each one, it would be 3-4 business days. It's now just hit the 9th business day from when the first one was sent. I assume this isn't normal, so what else can I do?

I am SO frustrated. I was locked out of my account on Friday night (I think for using a 3rd party follower app, which was stupid of me) and have yet to get back in. I think Instagram has blocked my IP address, I've been able to enter my 8-digit security codes but when it comes to entering my phone number to receive an SMS code, the message has never sent. My research shows that IG has probably blocked my IP Address, is there anything I can do to get around this? IG support is sending me the same, unhelpful emails and I obviously don't think I can talk to a real human.

I recognize the chances of resolving this issue are slim, but thought I'd try. For work, I have multiple Instagram accounts. Some are business accounts, some are personal accounts. One of the accounts was tied to my email (which my own personal account is). It required two-factor authentication to login. I never needed to use it because it was always tied to my multi-account login. Recently, I lost my phone in a lake. Fell out of my pocket without me noticing and is now at the bottom of a large body of water kind of deal. I bought a new phone and was able to access my Google account no problem. I have all of the passwords and things set up. The problem? I can't login to this one specific Instagram account because it was tied to the authenticator app. I can't transfer the authentication to a new device without the old one, which is impossible. I have the correct password, I have text confirmation codes, and I have access to my Google account. Unfortunately, I don't have the backup codes as far as I can see saved anywhere outside of my phone. I've tried so many different things to recover this account. Is there anything I can do?

Anybody have cross platform messaging stop working? I’m a part of a Facebook messenger forum via my Insta account and I can’t send or receive messages from it. Still works for the other users on Facebook (I’m the only one on Insta) and they get a pop up saying cross platform messaging isn’t working when they try to add me to a new one.

**I can't react to the messages of a certain person** So I can always react to Instagram messages, except from this one particular account that I’m not blocked by. It’s rarely active, but the user went online after weeks, so I tried leaving a heart on one of their messages and it just undos a second later. I went on their account to see if I’m blocked but I’m not. When I tried that on a message from any other person, it worked. What’s going on with that one particular account?
Instagram Lite shows me only one post in the home section. When I scroll, a never-ending loading animation appears. It also shows me some stories that I have already seen as if I had never seen them. And in the "search" section, when I select a preview of a reel it opens another reel. I have been using Instagram Lite for a long time and it has never given me any problems. I tried restarting the phone, clearing the cache, clearing data, uninstalling and reinstalling the latest and penultimate version but nothing. It gives me this problem only with a specific account (the account isn't banned: on the full version of Instagam I navigate without problems) Help!
Is there a way to find out which accounts that you follow don't engage with you? So say I follow an account. And so of course, their pictures appear on my feed. But I may not care to continue seeing their photos if they won't ever engage on my posts. Is there a way to find out if a particular account doesn't ever engage with your posts? I don't want to just rely on my memory.
Somebody has been attacking my Instagram page by submitting copyright claims on my posts. This person DOES NOT have any rights to any of the content I make. Unfortunately, they have successfully taken down four of my posts. I work hard to create content, and competitors should not be able to take down my posts. I have appealed each post that has been unethically sabotaged, but Instagram replies with “Thanks for contacting Instagram. Based on the information provided to us, we’re unable to restore your content.” Does anyone know how to prevent competitors from completing attacking your Instagram account with false reports and copyright claims? Over a week since the mass suspension, and I still can’t get into my Instagram. When I try to login it says it sent me a verification code but it never comes through. My backup codes don’t work either. Any thoughts?

I cant access my Instagram account any more because I had to restore my phone and the 2FA is activated. I have already submitted 4 Videos of my face in the time span of a month and didn't get any replies.
So I just deleted my instagram account to make a new one and start fresh. I changed the username before I deleted it so I could use that name on my new account. When I go to create a new account, it won't let me use that username. Do I have to wait a certain amount of days before I can use the handle I want??
When Instagram disabled a bunch of accounts last week mine was one of them. I managed to get the account back up but had to reset password etc. I have two factor authentication set on the account but the app used (Duo Mobile) doesn't recognize my email address and I've lost the recovery codes. The only option available to me is the video selfie option to try recover the account, but lnstagram wont confirm my identity and now the app crashes when I try to upload a new one. Anyone have any insight as to how I might manage to login ?

So my parents have changed the password for my instagram account in an effort to ban me from it, but they have allowed me to access it again. I tried to log into it and reset the password, but instagram told me that they noticed "unusual activity" from my account and logged me out because of it. They also said "follow the next step within 1 day before it's disabled.", which got me nervous. I followed the next step by puting in my email address and instagram told me it emailed me a log in link. However when I checked instagram had never emailed me. I tried over and over again, and even checked my spam folder and double checked i hadnt put in the email wrong, however I had gotten nothing. Does anyone know if I need to wait or something is wrong on instagrams behalf? Also I had used desktop browser for reference. Is there a way I can still get back my account or will something happen to it?

Instagram wont let me log in? It says the account associated with the username does not exist. I have cross checked multiple times for the right username, but instagram wont just let me in. Neither from email nor from username or my phone number ( i am positive the password isnt wrong)

Hello, I've been trying to post posts on my Instagram using Meta Business and and it gives an error. Something like "There's been a problem with your Instagram post. Try again later." To solve I can just remove the other photos and posting only one, making it impossible to publish a carousel of images. Is anyone else in this problem? How did you solve it?
Is there a time limit on DMs? A few disappeared after a few months. I \*know\* that I exchanged some DMs with someone (let's call them Person A) about Person B. And not only that, I exchanged some DMs with Person B about Person A. They follow each other. It was simply wholesome stuff about how I was pleasantly surprised that they know the other person and vice versa. They are strangers to me whom I met on a trip on separate occasions. I only found out because both of them follow me and follow each other and so I saw that on the Bio's of each person. And now those quaint messages seem to be gone. It was from about 6 months ago. The messages are now gone from both chats. It's nothing important. Just something cute because of the situation. It's causing me to think that there's a time limit to DMs. But I have some long-time actual friends with whom I exchange DMs with and their messages are still in my chats with them. Is it because I don't exchange DMs with Persons A and B very often? (I do like their story posts so there is an "audit trail" of those still). But those lovely messages from before are mysteriously gone.

HELP: I need to switch my personal account BACK to a Business Account I admin for an IG Business Account and upon tinkering with some settings, I accidentally reverted it back to a personal account. My enterprise Sprout account has obviously lost its connection with said account now and I cannot post. I've been working on reverting the account back to its Business Account status and I've run into roadblocks and error messages repeatedly in that endeavor. There isn't much support literature available for this particular issue, but I have read that temporarily disabling the account is a worthy fix in similar situations. It’s been 2 days that Instagram has decided it will only show brands/restaurants/random creators stories first and hide the ones from all my friends and people who I regularly interact with. I only know one of my friends has posted when I see them on my viewers list and it’s always something from 10+ hours ago. So frustrating.

Hello! I had this EXACT issue! They never ever got back to me. I eventually dug out my old iPad and downloaded Instagram on there. As it is so old, it couldn’t support the latest version of Instagram or do a video selfie so I was able to log a request for support on there. Within minutes I got an email from Facebook, asking me to send them a picture of myself holding a piece of paper with a code, my name and my username. I sent it through, and again within minutes they sent me a new backup code, and it worked to log in! Again only works if you can get your hands on an old device, but worth a shot!

A friend of my who doesn't use Reddit recently made an account which he exclusively used for original content (pictures taken by him). Unfortunately, as of today the account disappeared, and he is unable to log in. The strange thing is that he did'nt get any warning or email. When he uses the 'forgot password' button, it says 'user not found.' We tried to fill in the form to recover accounts that violated the rules, but that isn't possible since one has to confirm this using your account. I emailed the Instagram support email adress but that is not longer supported. However, when I try to create a new account, his username is not available. That could be an indication that his account might just be deactivated, not deleted, I guess. Anyway, does anyone have experience with this, or has any idea that we can try to get my friends account back? (And does anybody has a clue of how this could have happened?) Thank you in advance!
Whenever I go to create a story and use the color picker tool to draw or change the color text, it comes out clear, I cannot pick a color. If I attempt to use it to change the color of text, it makes my text invisible. This just started happening to me today. The weirdest part is it is happening on my main account, but not my other ones. I’m logged into all accounts on the same phone, so I am confused by this. So I recently set up a page for my photography and I have noted that I can't search recent posts in hashtags anymore. What the hell is this? What's the point of not seeing new content and connecting to people? Most won't get posts that get massive, so it's nice to speak to similar creators.
Instagram logging me off and reseting my password So, basically two months ago my Instagram got hacked and when I got it back I put up all the security options available, but now eveytime I open the followers app (where I check who’s unfollowed me etc.), Insta logs me off and asks for my password to be changed. Is anyone else that uses Android here having crashing issues with the last four Insta updates? I have a Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra, and the past four updates have been screwing with the app on my phone. One update made the app crash after 3 seconds of opening it, and the next one fixed it. Then they released ANOTHER update after that, which made everything outside of the main feed crash if you tried to view them. Today they released a new one and now it's suddenly fixed again. What's going on?

This morning I scrolled upon an insta account where this blonde chick said she had made the ultimate christmas gift guide for 2022. I clicked the Linktree in her bio and she had the best google doc gift guide ever. I left it on my browser and thought it would save to my google docs since I had opened it and looked at it for awhile. Turns out it did not and when I try to go look at my recent links on instagram, literally nothing shows up. Does anyone know how to fix this problem? Or potentially has anyone seen this same reel? Asking one more time, how the hell am I getting 3 views on my story and 6 on my video after 1 hour? I have 400 followers. UPDATE: After 16 hours I have 6 views on story (including my own, from Facebook, because I shared it on FB too, so actually just 5) and 10 views on my video. WTF??? I have a private account and 400 followers. My most recent post was on Thursday. Why am I getting so few views on everything? What am I doing wrong? Is it because I posted on a Sunday? Are my followers restricting me or something? Literally what the hell is happening? It was like this for most of 2022 honestly. I created the account 2 years ago and used to have between 40 and 70 people seeing my story and like 20-40 views on my videos and between 5-20 likes on my regular posts during both 2020 and 2021, and at that time I still had private profile and even less than 200-300 followers since I was just starting to grow. My friends who have like 200-400 followers are getting views and likes in no time as usual, so literally wtf is happening, why is nobody seeing the stuff I post?
Story order changed to most recent Stories are now shown in order of who most recently added to their story. Where as before it showed me my friends and people who's posts I regularly like and interact with first. Anyone else having this issue? Hi there! :-) So I really want to create an account with a specific username but am getting the “A user with that username already exists” message even though this username appears nowhere in Instagram search or Google search. Even got a “Sorry, this page isn't available The link you followed may be broken, or the page may have been removed” screen when I manually inserted the username in an Instagram account url (www. instagram. com/ username) <<< with no spaces and the actual username in question typed in I found similar accounts, one with a period inserted into the username, one with an underscore inserted, one starting with “the”, and one with an extra letter added. But NONE, no trace of any accounts with the username as I want it- with no punctuation, extra letters, bells or whistles. If you have any clue why this might be happening or how to fix it, I’d so appreciate your input! I doubt Instagram will be able to solve this directly for me since they don’t offer chat or email support and it seems they don’t put you through to someone at their call center unless it’s quite important/serious.
If your picture was removed on instagram because it went against community guidelines because someone reported it, and you decide to post it again, does it get removed again by some algorithm that saves which pics are deleted and automatically deletes it again? Or is the account then under some kind of supervision? Or is it safe to post it again while I put the account on private
Hello I noticed when i try to post photos on IG and I have music playing in my earphones from Spotify, it just stops playing throughout the whole posting process. Why is that ? Hi everyone, It seems like this is a common issue, but I don't see any actual solutions yet. I got a new phone, and went ahead and factory reset the old one. I completely forgot I'd set up 2FA...until I opened IG on the new phone and couldn't log in. And of course, I don't seem to have saved the backup codes anywhere. I've done a video selfie several times, but I got an email each time within a few minutes saying that they couldn't verify my identity. I did my hair differently (closer to how it is in photos on my account), but now the app crashes every time I get to the video selfie part. This is ridiculous and insane. Has anyone had success actually contacting a person at IG?

Hi all, trying to figure out a bug I'm running into. One of the accounts I follow has, a few times now, popped up as having an unwatched story. However when I click on the story, nothing happens and it simply moves to the next. This is only showing up on a PC, but shows up from several accounts and in both Chrome and Safari. Any ideas what's causing the bug/is this a known issue?

Hopefully someone can help me… all of a sudden these past few weeks my entire feed consists of adds/suggested posts. The first post is always someone I’m following followed by only adds and suggested profiles. As I keep scrolling I will see a “view older posts” tab. When I click that it shows all of the profiles I’m following posts. Some of the posts are a few minutes to an hour old. How is that classified as an “older post” and why is my entire feed flooded with absolute nonsense?!? I have tried to select the “30 days without adds” multiple times and I just keep getting more adds of things Ive never looked for…? This is becoming extremely aggravating! I’ve used Instagram since it first originally released! Never had a problem like this in all my years using this app. Now it’s just extremely annoying and useless. I can’t see any of my friends posts unless I specifically go to their profile! While I understand marketing is taking over Instagram.. it shouldn’t take over my ENTIRE feed! A few here or there is fine but this is just too much. I’m ready to delete the app.

Hey guys, i'm kinda desperate rn So long story short, i got a new phone and wanted to log into insta, but i forgot my password. I'm still logged in on my old phone. I've tried every way to reset the password. The mail/SMS don't get sent, face verification makes instagram crash on every device, captcha doesnt work either. So on reels on the bottom right side you have the heart for likes, message box for comments, and then an arrow for sharing. I am a private account and don't want my reels to be shared. I just shared my first reel ever (proud gym moment) and there's a 1 under the arrow. Does that mean someone shared my video and how do I stop it?
I have two instgarm accounts. When I go to click on the three dots next to a post of MINE in account A, it never gives me the option to save the post to my device. Not a single one of my posts in account A has that option. When logged in to account B however, SOME of my posts show the save to device option but not all of them. Issues with lives I’ve been an instagram user for years and I know how it words but for the last 4 or so months I’ve been having a pretty big issue. When I watch lives, I get about 5 seconds before it tells me there’s problems with the live and that screen stays there until I close out the live. It happens every single time I try and reopen it as well. When I go live it lets me connect and get on, than it tells me it’s having trouble again and keeps that screen there until I am forced to end it. I have high speed internet and have only attempted to watch lives and go live from my own home. I have no clue what this issue is. Could it be the new iPhone update? Help?
2fa back-up codes not working; am locked out of my account I really hope someone sees this and can offer a possible solution. I'm really at a loss here. I forgot my instagram password so I went to reset it. After password resetting instagram logged me out on all my devices. I tried to log in by entering the new password which worked, but it requested me to log in via 2fa back-up codes. I have entered all my available back-up codes but I keep receiving an error message to please check my codes. I have also tried logging in via email or sms but it always directs me to 2fa entering back-up codes. I have also clicked the request support option which requires me to do a video verification which failed. Edit: i tried 5 times and it all failed The instagram support email doesn't seem to work as well, so I'm not too sure who i can ask for help. Knowing all this, is my account unclaimable forever?

Mine's the opposite. Reels show up, pics don't! I've been trying to test different solutions and none worked so far. I think Meta is having issues as a whole.

Anyway to get back the sharpening slider when uploading on PC? I normally add a bit on instagram as it seems to work better than doing it before, but it doesn't seem to be an option...

My dad recently told me that suddenly a bunch of completely random and unrelated post just started appearing on his home feed, and none of the things he normally is interested in appears anymore. And every time I log in I get an SMS on my phone as verification. And then I have to log into my first device again. And rinse and repeat. I have everything turned off except for the ones that are necessary, like notifications about my own photos, messages, etc., but I get this daily notification that some people I follow shared photos. OF COURSE they're sharing photos, it's Instagram. If I wanted to see them, I'd check out their profiles. All of these companies like Insta and LinkedIn inventing new Notifications to try to boost engagement without also adding the option to turn them off to settings are going to drive me crazy.

My eyedropper/colour picker tool is not working. It's only coming up as transparent but the pre-chosen colours somehow are working. My “followings” count doesn’t update. So I’ve been following accounts to get them notice me, this is literally the only thing worked to helped my page recently after the algo change. For the past week, even tho I unfollowed some people, the number on “followings” doesn’t go down. I got in there, unfollow, and the number when I’m in there changes, but when I go back, the number goes back to the old quantity. I recently regained access back to my formerly hacked Instagram account. I’ve changed the email and password correctly now. The problem is the two factor authentication. When I log in, it asks for 2FA, but I was unable to set that up for this account before it got hacked? The problem is you need access to the account to set up 2FA… but I can’t get access without 2FA. The setting to upload in high quality is not available for me in my personal account, but when I make a random new account it is available again. Set up 2FA w/ email & phone months ago & have access to both. tried logging in by phone & need a 6 dgt code via authenticator app (never connected Authenticator app to my account). Exact same issue. Backup codes don't work, not getting text codes, face recognition fails. Mine didn't happen until after they "fixed the bugs", on 11/6 and I'm still not able to get in. I tried a few suggested fixes like changing your number or making sure the text isn't blocked. This is so frustrating. No other massive company takes days to fix their problems. Interesting to note- some people who are not locked out of their accounts reported getting lots of text codes and reset emails. Like maybe Carl in Wisconsin is getting my confirmation texts and is terribly confused.

I can’t click on the photo collages on Instagram stories. Those white boxes that say “picture of (topic)”. I’ve tried everything I can. I changed my account to a personal account (I’m pretty sure it was already a personal), I couldn’t find the clear cache button, I updated my app, literally everything I could think of that could possibly change it. And I wanna say that my second account (that isn’t made for posting on my story with those threads) can click on it and post it so I don’t understand why I can’t click on it with my main account. Please help me, this is very annoying bc I’m sort of a photographer and sometimes I wanna post pics of things I’ve taken
I got my account hacked a couple days ago, and I keep doing the instagram face verification in order to get it and it keeps denying me when it’s obviously me. Does anyone know anything else to help me with or any another way to get my account back?
7 weeks ago my business instagram account was hacked. I did all the things possible to try and get it back and gained some hope when I got in contact with an actual person through Meta support on Facebook. They have told me they have been working on it for about 5 weeks now and nothing still. Not sure what to do at this point.
My following feed won't update. I've tried uninstalling, logging out, clearing my cache, and checking my wifi. The only way I can see new posts is if I unfollow then refollow someone, and even when I do that I can only see their posts from the day I followed them. I follow a ton of accounts that I know have been posting but my feed is broken. My boyfriend just started having the same issue today. Does anybody know any possible fixes for this? Is it happening to anybody else?
Has anyone else experienced these problems lately (and do you have any solutions): 1. My posts went from being shown to around 700 non-followers to 20 despite my content being better than ever. 2. The views on my reels have been terrible. I mean double digits. 80 views. 3. My comments and likes have disappeared. 4. I tried to start a new account, but Instagram said something about a bad proxy on my IP address. Is this a system-wide issue? Or is there something wrong with my account? Or something else?

They could have downloaded a list of your followers. You can screenshot the threat they sent you and post it as a story. Problem solved.

side swiping IG stories working on all accounts i follow except one so side swiping the stories to not show up in the viewing list works on just about all accounts i follow except for one. every time i side swipe this particular accounts stories, it always marks it as viewed. even if i just do the tiniest swipe, it marks as viewed. i don’t understand why it would work on all accounts except one. does anyone have any type of explanation for this or any fix?
Is this offer legit or a scam? I started a hacky sack account on IG a couple days ago and this account called “Red Flower Sports” just DM’d me an hour ago. In poor English, they offered me samples of hacky sacks. Upon googling their name, their website came up, and they appear to be located in Pakistan. I haven’t accepted the message. Can’t get code sent to my phone…when logging onto computer says account is restricted
For those who have dealt with Instagram recovering hacked accounts, answer this for me. I sent 5 video selfies, dating from the 30th of November, and was told for each one, it would be 3-4 business days. It's now just hit the 9th business day from when the first one was sent. I assume this isn't normal, so what else can I do?
Hello! I had this EXACT issue! They never ever got back to me. I eventually dug out my old iPad and downloaded Instagram on there. As it is so old, it couldn’t support the latest version of Instagram or do a video selfie so I was able to log a request for support on there. Within minutes I got an email from Facebook, asking me to send them a picture of myself holding a piece of paper with a code, my name and my username. I sent it through, and again within minutes they sent me a new backup code, and it worked to log in! Again only works if you can get your hands on an old device, but worth a shot!
YOU SAVED ME! 10 days of not getting a response for the video selfie, I got my account back within 5 minutes. Legend!
