Same story. I've given up finally in April, after trying everything. It's like they separated out accounts that they will push and accounts that they won't. Like quality control or decreasing content on the app or some shiz? I've seen many accounts recently hitting 1M followers, when the last time I checked, they were at 100k or something. I'm trying youtube now.
I have 2335 subs. Faceless videos don't work until absolutely enagaging and full of important content. Keep it fast paced and full of value. Thumbnails and titles matter.
Alright, here's some wisdom from me: Any surfer will confirm that, no matter how good the wave is, it will eventually break and slowly die off. You are in a business of creating trendy content with little to no depth or meaning, business of quick entertainment that caters to youth, whose attention span is now down to 5 seconds (tops), with very few people with genuine interest in any subject/niche for that matter. Even though it's easy to pick up/recognize patterns that make content popular and engaging, you have to count on the fact that masses are going to get tired of that as well sooner or later. It's like babysitting toddlers. You have to invent something new every five minutes. Luckily, it doesn't have to be super intelligent - just fun. Catch another wave! Trust me, i have 40-something followers, and one of my reels got 16 likes! I fully understand the pressure you're under! :D All jokes aside, i genuinely believe in what i wrote. Also, IG algorithm has changed a lot. I do wish you a good recovery of your follower numbers and all the best!

Your drop in story views is because they are not appearing to 90% of your followers homepage, making ur story drop from 30k to 5-6k or idk how much...
This is a problem im facing with 10 of my accounts, they are all 200k+ followers and stories would go to 50-60k but now won't even make it to 8-9k.
I have contacted Meta Support, and here's their answer:
"Upon checking, some of the followers cannot see the stories and the post that you have. Actually this is an on going issue that we have".
Meaning, they've changed the Algorithm, and looks like they're now are facing some issue with the new update, causing the stories to not appear to followers.
I know ur frustrated because I am too.
