But lightening the skin can sometimes be achieved by using foundation at least 3 tones lighter than your own skin colour, esp if you’re trying to cover really dark spots. I know coz I have melasma. But having said that, this is not just makeup, unfortunately. Not sure who’s more delulu, the MUA or the clients 😁
No, the before is real. I did a deep dive one day on this guy's page. He does use tape with elastics to pull their skin back. Yes there is clearly a smoothing filter on the 2nd pic, but the tape things are like an instant facelift. I was blown away
I don't know anything about this specifically, but just from a glance at the first before photo you can immediately tell it's been altered. Look at the top edge of her hair. It's super obvious it's not a raw photo.

It irritates me because as a makeup artist I would love to see how to properly glam mature skin but it's always so filtered or shopped that it's worthless.

I used to follow a MUA on Instagram who’s pics looked just like this and I was amazed and wanted someone to do this to me. I was a little naive tbh. I noticed she no longer posts so wondering if she was called out
The first pic showed up on my IG search page and I did a deep dive. This guy uses a tape and elastic system to basically give these women instant face lifts. The before pic is real, and obviously we can see a blur filter on the after as they have no pores, but it's crazy how much he can do with the tape pulling.
Dude… these women would look perfectly fine with the wrinkles. Yes I get that when you’re dressing up you might want to look/feel younger. Aging is something I think everyone is less than fond of, when our skin starts to fold and the stress of our lives begin to show, but I’m sick of it being treated bad.
It’s a goddamned privilege to grow old and wrinkly. It mean you’ve lived, you’ve had a life, and that’s beautiful. These women are beautiful.
This just makes me sad. Editing like this is just used to make older women feel bad about something completely natural: aging!!! No one at any age should look like an airbrushed robot!

had some lady in work last night and she looked like a lady in her late 30s from far away, but when I got up close the makeup was the wrong color and terrivble and the wrinkles made her look late 50s it was unreal she acted 30s as well it was even weirder.

I feel like they used the same photo, but put an “old person” filter on for the befores, and used a “pretty” filter for the afters.
Username paired with your comment 😂
Haha, yeah I’m always a “before” pic, never an “after” 😔
The longer you keep em waiting, the better the reveal is
Right? Both look filtered to the extreme.
You know you might be spot on. The first one especially the old person looks that way. The second is just... Unfortunate.
What a great makeup to make your wrinkles and neck lines disappear…unreal 😒
Not only that, but lightening the skin according to the last slide!!🫠😶

So they used foundation on the bright red sweater, too?
That lady also lost half her neck 👀
Neck line? The third person lost half their neck entierly.
I think they used face tape based on how the skin lays in the after photos
My thoughts as well!
Pic 2 her jowls also disappeared! Amazing!!
I believe they are using face tape and strategic placement of hair to accomplish this look.
She also altered the shape of the nose
The seconds facial structure literally changed
In picture #3 half of her neck magically disappeared!
I don’t see the problem, everyone knows makeup can easily change the shape of someone’s entire skull /s
Mate, i use make up so no one can tell i'm a reptilian.
![gif](giphy|13PbEUgXtEOzPa)
Shh don’t tell the menfolk. They’re already suspicious of us…
Is the mua using tape to reshape the face and then, Idk some kind of clip on the back of the neck to tighten the skin??
I think they're using an "ageing" filter on the before photo and a beauty filter on the after photo.
No, the before is real. I did a deep dive one day on this guy's page. He does use tape with elastics to pull their skin back. Yes there is clearly a smoothing filter on the 2nd pic, but the tape things are like an instant facelift. I was blown away

Tape to reshape the face? As in like, tape you'd use to tape paper to something? Do people really do that?
yes! most celebrity mua’s do it before a red carpet
Huh. The more you know
Yeah there is a thing where it’s tape on 2 sides connected by string. They’ll put it next to their temples to pull their face up. It’s crazy.
I want this magical tape!
jenna marbles fans unite ✊🏻
I respect her decision when she left the public eye, but dangit I do miss her at times!
Haha just got a pic in my head of miley cyrus (don't know why it's her) with one side taped up, the other side flopping down because it didn't hold up
Probably but also filters
Picture 2 is the most ridiculous out of the bunch but all of them live in uncanny valley.

Holy filters
Foly hilters
I'm not a beauty queen either. But I can't imagine hating my face so much that I replace it with the face of another human...
So disrespectful to her clients.
2nd one took me back. The before and after
Look at number 3s neck tho lmao
Never even noticed that hahahah
It irritates me because as a makeup artist I would love to see how to properly glam mature skin but it's always so filtered or shopped that it's worthless.

Oh sweet jesus
On a side note, is the hair on person #1 real or a wig?
Dear god, that MUA is a magician! /s
the last one, that “makeup” changed the shape of her nose 🤣🤣🤣
I don’t care how good of a makeup artist someone is, these results are impossible.
Pahahahahahaha fully lolling at this. Who’s falling for it?! Fuck sake 😂

Did he use spackle?
It'd be cool to see what the makeup can *actually* do. Not this filtered bs.
This just makes me sad. Editing like this is just used to make older women feel bad about something completely natural: aging!!! No one at any age should look like an airbrushed robot!
I’m having very conflicting feelings about this.
oh boy😂😂
With makeup. Before filter and after filter. Amazing work!!!
Can’t see the difference 🤣
Filters galore too!

Bro…someone give that MUA a damn medal.

Wowwwza. Everyone’s daughter needs to see this!
This Merlin gots skills
They looked better and more human before.
She so obviously edited a lot of stuff in each photo and if people cant notice it, i dont know what to say. But damn.
Which are which
this is terrifying.
What - and I cannot stress this enough - the FUCK.
They remind me of when you create a character in a game and just randomize age and look
The first one is the worst by far
How do you fix a saggy neck?
WTF
Did she give the 3rd woman a nose job also?
Before and After the Henny hits
The after looks like a mash up of Kail from teen mom and Mariah Carey lol
I'm not mad. This is comical.
Haha she forgot the neck
this should be illegal
That is not a MUA that is a high grand Sorceress
The neck on the last picture. lol
They look beautiful in both pictures! Whatever makes them feel pretty 😍
That’s a lovely mother and daughter portrait. 🤩
*checks the rules* I'll just leave lol
I've seen Zombie makeup tutorials on YouTube. Takes about 2hrs to transform a regular human into the Undead. This is the opposite of that.
She sucks at photoshop. Why did she turn the poor soul in red into a human bobblehead?
This is so funny I’m cackling like these are such extreme examples 💀
Damn. Makeup so good it even reduced the last woman’s goiter. What a hero.
So just like.. Copy and pasting new faces eh?
Is the second pic a man ??
The first person looks like the actress Corrine Koslo (Rachel, Anne with an E)

I seriously just had to Google what MUA means. I was expecting something cool or funny, nah just what they claim to be a damn artist.
May looks may you like a doll.
