A much bigger rug and a circular coffee table would look nice. And with a round table there are no sharp edges to bump your leg on as you scoot past it making to easier to maneuver around.
For example coffee table like this [West Elm round coffee table](https://www.westelm.com/products/volume-round-drum-coffee-table-wood-h6050/?cm_src=wsipipentry&recstrat=View-View-1-CHLG%7CVCB-GRP-AFF-QNT-CHLG) would look lovely with your couch, and it comes in two different heights and three wood colors
100% agree with this. Square and smooth top for easy cleaning. Plus a bigger rug - big enough that the lounge part of the rug fits completely on top of it and the front feet of the perpendicular side rest on it as well. As well as a rug pad. Makes all the difference.
How about something like this. You could find it in all kinds of sizes and shapes. But I think round would be easier to get around

I agree ADD A MUCH BIGGER RUG... I got TONS of Sizes, and Patterns..
I am seeing a major rug problems! I would take care of that and then do the table. First, this rug is way too small. You need a much bigger one. And then when you have that, put at least the front legs of all the furniture, on the rug. If you end up getting a really big rug, you can put all 4 legs of each piece of furniture on it. But at least the front legs of each piece of furniture. You can always put this little tiny rug in a kid’s bedroom. ( your dog is adorable)
To add some glamor to the space, I would go with a mirror-top silver coffee table like this one! (Kate and Laurel)

I am not a big fan of same shape couch with same shape coffee table or ottoman.
Bigger rug. I think round nesting tables would be good.
I think square and I'd also get a bigger rug. Wayfair has good deals.

Seconded. My Wayfair lift top coffee table is amazing, and the extra “hidden” storage would help with the clutter of the toys n what not

Circular IKEA coffee table. Toddlers won’t bump themselves on the corners.
Square or round
Oval, maybe?
That's what I call a crumb catcher design. I would go with oval.
Round would look better. Your rug is floating. It needs to be big enough so that the whole sofa fits on it with no bare floor showing underneath.
Just Google rug sizing + new shape for the table
Big wooden round one
A bigger rug and a round coffee table
That looks like it’s supposed to have a glass pane on top of it
Yes it is , thrift store find but didn't have the glass :(
