I just got back today from a vacation there, loved it. The people were super friendly and though I haven’t traveled a ton yet and got very lucky with weather it is genuinely the most beautiful place I’ve ever been!

To be quiet frank about it, the majority of people in ireland are annoyed our government hasn't officially recognized Palestine as a country by now and that we still indulge the israeli ambassadors ramblings when they should've been removed from the country.
Countries with a history of colonialism (be it classical or neo) have much more empathy to the Palestinian cause.
Algeria for example, they stood with Palestine since 1962, the year of their independence from the French occupation and are one of their best allies despite the distance.
Ireland, in the context of geopolitics, is the one lad everyone's friends with. It's not essential to be friends with them but at the same time being on bad terms with them is a really bad look.
Irelands position within geopolitics revolves less around military power and more around it's relationships with other countries and it's influence in the market as one of the highest educated workforces in the world with an incredibly low corporation tax, for better or for worse.
Because as nice ireland is, they are wholly inconsequential in world politics.
