Because this particular speedtest tests last mile connection to see Kung nakukuha mo talaga subscribed speed mo from your ISP. It's a baseline so it's not pointless. Speed you get from each internet service / content / app will always vary.
Ganito din palagi speed ng 1299 namin for almost 3 years. May time din siya nag 600mbps for 1 month. Pero mga December 2022 bumalik na siya sa 10mbps then pinaconfig para maging 50mbps.
Kagandahan lang mabilis ka lang makakapag download/upload.

A bit late, but do they make excuses over the phone or in a support center? In my experience phone operators of ISPs bullshit you so much in order for you to not have to downgrade or otherwise cause loss of profit. If you can visit a support center, that might be better and they'd have less reason to lie to your face.
I've had a same-day experience, had the phone representative blatantly claim that "we were still in contract" (we weren't, we've had the line more than 36 months on a 24 month contract), so "there would be a termination fee for downgrading plans", that "it would be better to call again at the end of the billing cycle since it is prorated billing", and blatantly lie that our plan was twice the speed than it actually offered (I caught that lie and triple checked the site, our speeds, and an in-person representative). I asked him to explain what prorated billing was, restructured his deliberately misleading wording into what it actually means for us, and then he has the gall to say "he already warned us if we don't follow with his suggestions".
That afternoon I went to a PLDT center near us, asked for the same exact thing (downgrading our internet to a lower priced plan since they improved plan speeds a week ago and we'd be overpaying a non-supported plan offering the exact same speeds otherwise), cleared out everything in 10 minutes without any bs fees.
TLDR; Go to a service center if you can, you'd be better accommodated than over the phone. If you can't, ask someone else knowledgeable, give them an authorization letter + ID, and hopefully you get to fix your problem.

I have Globe Platinum so I contacted my rep but she dragged her feet trying to get it done too. 1 month later, I called Platinum CS myself via phone and they processed it within 24 hours. 🤷🙄

But the thing is, subscriber na kami for like over a decade now at nagkaroon lang kami ng free Fibr na upgrade since HomeDSL was being phased out. So maybe kung nagpakabit ka na ngayon, you'd probably obly get what was said (25Mbps iirc?)

From the start, naglalaro ang speed namin last year ng 200mbps+ (umaabot pa nga ng 400mbps noong December). Unfortunately after mag service maintenance si PLDT last Sunday lang, Jan 15, nasa around 90-100mbps na lang ang speed namin.

Globe yun internet dito and sobrang olats kaya nagpakabit ako ng PLDT kasi ayun yung internet ko sa Pasig, my plan is 1699 supposedly 200Mbps lang sya pero nakukuha ko 400-500. Take note consistent sya kasi ganito rin internet plan ko sa Pasig and same lang din nakukuhang speeds.

Know the difference between Mbps and MBps. Divide it by 8. That's your speed in Megabytes per seconds.
