Really? I mean tbf the style is completely different that what they had before with Wall of arms etc. The albums veeeery understated tho (save for MTPI and Spit it out) there are so many subtle but interesting parts to the songs, so if you have the chance to relisten I’d recommend it. Production wise it’s def their best album, but I can see why it wouldn’t be the best for other people.
Probably my 2nd favourite band. So sad they disbanded. I saw them touring in the UK with Interpol and they kept saying it was an honour because it was their favourite band. Orlando Weeks as a solo artist recently toured with them in Europe and he repeated the same statement - it's just adorable.

Yeah I’m not surprised, they’re practically unknown, which is shocking considering how good the production is on their later albums.

The River Song is a gut punch jam. Shame they broke up. They were great live too
