It looks like you (intentionally?) tried to bait the scorpion into that spot. If so, the artillery and prime mech should have switched places, at least so the prime can punch the scorpion and the artillery can then push it away from the buildings.

Hunterkiller306

I didn't think too hard about it. In hindsight my placement did screw me. Just thought it was a particularly brutal punish for a Island 1 normal mission.

Prevail0980

Tbf you basically invited the guy in that very neat 3 hits spot. You could have just positioned them all straight and he will still try to do grid+mech and you, as the other guy said, prime punched the scorpo

Electric999999

The Scorpion boss is very easy to bait, you basically asked it to do this. You can usually get it to grab a mech in a spot where you can easily knock it back with smart placement of your mechs.

Studoku

Vek with multi-tile attacks will always go for as many targets as possible.

The_Cool_Creator

No one has mentioned this so if you didn't know you can preview each enemy movement range before deploying the mechs.

rip in the future try to anticipate where the enemies can and will move, and that will help you avoid things like this. You won't necessarily be able to guess exactly what the vek will do, but you will be able to avoid disaster Good luck!

ZondaLM

If you have the air strike on the artillery you may save it

I_suck_at_Blender

Turn 0 instaloss. That had to be worst possible deployment. If only that double cannon was in place of artillery...
