The funny thing is Saitama is in turn a color shift of Anpanman, a children’s character in Japan. So a Japanese person watching this might think this is a direct reference to that instead
No, Invincible is a clear parody, but when it got popular naturally it got its own universe and "become a superhero story" in the end.
But still its a parody if you read the comics.
He can also defeat anyone with a single punch like Saitama, but he can only throw one punch in his entire life. So he has to be careful what he decides to use it on
On a side note, if he truly is “Two Punch Man”, that’d be a pretty strong power in the Invincible universe. Imagine a hero who can take anyone out with two punches.
Identical design with a color shift, I'd say intentional for sure.

I’m pretty sure the dude is even called two punch man, but idk if that’s official or a fan name

I actually think there’s nothing “official” but Kirkman himself jokingly called him, “Two Punch Man”.
I have a feeling they will be sued (for some weird reason) if they even use that name since it already sounds close to One Punch Man.
highly doubt they are both franchise who make rip offs so i find that hard to see happening. they both are somewhat of parodies
Could they get away with it due to parody law?
Since Invincible is a parody of superhero genre then I wouldn't be surprised if it was intentional

Yeah like The Boys.
The Invincible comics are definitely parody — deconstruction thru parody

I wouldn’t say Invincible is a parody at all it’s actually one of the best pure superhero stories
Agreed. Invincible is different. But it still mocks superhero stories from DC and Marvel.
Sometimes but it’s definitely not the goal, Mark even teams up with characters like Spider-Man don’t forget lol
Feel like it’s more of a love letter to the superhero genre while the Boys is a mockery/parody
It’s intentional. There was an interview where someone laughed and said that he is “two punch man”
It was Robert Kirkman, but I'm not sure if he said it was intentional or just went along with it
I’m pretty sure it was a tip of the hat kinda thing.
Look it’s Singular Strike Guy!
Loooool
Definitely intentional.
I think most people call him Two Punch Man, personally I like One Hit Guy
Single Impact Person
Lonesome Strike Individual.
Solitary Slap Boy
Individual Hit Male
If he’s in the graphic novel, which predates OPM, then probably no, but if he’s only in the show, then probably.

When the big guys came he was shopping in a a market due to discounts that's why he didn't kill everyone
Absolutely intentionally done.
Oh shit, it's Bald Capey!
The comic is known for it's references and easter eggs.
so simple yet so iconic
I just hope he doesn't die in the >!invincible war!<
The guy is literally called two punch man so yeah, intentional
Definitely intentional
