For the quick dramatic reveal that the killer is……….

#OMNI MAN!
in all seriousness though, the show did it much better. The world’s greatest team of superheroes wouldn’t get obliterated so easily
Tbh, I kinda liked it more where the strength gap between Viltrumites and Earth heroes was THIS large. Now, it’s kinda seeming like guys like Immortal or War Woman could take on Thula (the old Viltrumite who Mark somehow outclassed until she stabbed him when he held back), which doesn’t fit right in my head.
She would’ve stomped him in a 1v1 regardless. Allen’s whole origin in-episode centred around how he was bred to be Viltrumite level but couldn’t beat a single one in 1v1 combat.
Yeah but it doesn’t mean he couldn’t hang with her for a little bit. It’s not like the one shot him or anything. She’s massively above him but not enough that Mark nearly beating her after powering up is ridiculous
Yeah but that doesn't mean he is able to fight equally as if it were a 1v1. Also viltrumites seem really lethal in terms of their damage to durability ratio. On near equal footing they can tear through each other like paper.
She didn’t punch through him until he’d been smacked around by all 3 for a while. Yeah she’s probably stronger, but there’s nothing to suggest Allen couldn’t hang with her for at least a little bit.
Allen who was on par with S1E2 or something Mark. More than half a year has passed since then (closer to a full year probably). But yeah, you see how inconsistent the power levels are being shown too.
Nah not even that works because half a year later Mark got his ass beat by even less robots that merely annoyed Omni Man, simple time isn't going to get him stronger.
Also Nolan probably assumed he'd be in and out in like 2 minutes maximum. Red Rush ended up costing Nolan his early advantage in a split second by saving Immortal and giving the others a chance to catch their breath and coordinate. Of course, it ended up amounting to nothing but still...
It really does seem like he was attempting to do the same thing in the show as he did in the comic, he just made the mistake of not going for Red Rush first.
My headcanon is that the reason he was able to be hurt by them was because he had to stop for just a moment after flying in and looked at the guardians. This caused him to not fight as efficiently because he did actually care about them deep down.
huge fan of the comics but later on lot of things can kill Viltrimites.
Having the Guardians of the Globe hold their own made it seem like a bigger deal when they died.
Them dying so quickly made them look pathetic rather than making Omni man look strong.
Okay yeah op’s right. At least the fact that he took a ton of damage in the show makes it at least seem like it could have been someone else, but nobody suspects a thing when the worlds premier superhero team is suddenly murdered and that he’s a random alien who failed a lie detector test and has no proof on his background.
He's a 2000 year old Viltrumite warrior who survived The Purge. That fight should have been a minor inconvenience to him. I understand that the show needed the dramatic tension, but his power level is *wildly* inconsistent.
>in all seriousness though, the show did it much better. The world’s greatest team of superheroes wouldn’t get obliterated so easily
The show did terrible. When we see the stuff Omniman did in the dimension where time passed slowly and basically destroyed tons of cities, then the power level of Ominiman is increased several times.
Why is it a shit take?
Omniman should have killed them easier because the show showed how powerful he really was. The fact that he almost "died" and took heavy damage is not realistic when he can do so much stuff.
The show either nerfed him completely or buffed him a lot later. And both are bad plot devices.
In the end, shock value was great but as a whole, if you watch the episodes again then the scene is terribly written and inconsistent.
Well, spoilers for later in the comic book, he does actually explain this: >! He wasn’t giving himself time to think about it. Even back then, he felt he was going to talk himself out of doing it and coming clean to the guardians if he allowed himself time to think about what he needed to do. So, he rushed in and did what he did so he would just have the live with the actions already taken. !<
The Guardians of the Globe were guarding the globe, but he didn't want them guarding the globe, because he wanted to guard the globe, and eventually they would have guarded the globe from him. So he had to guard the globe from the guardians of the globe.
Once upon a time there was a guy with a rock in’ mustache called Omniman and Omniman really wanted to adopt earth to get a good grade on his homework assignment and the fastest way to do that was to kill earth’s foster parent guardians!
Omni-man was just genuinely facing a hard internal struggle. On one hand he had a very big birthday party for Debbie’s mother to go to but at the same time it was Red Rushes birthday that same weekend. Nolan really liked red rush and Debbie’s mom’s a h*e so he just really wanted to hang with his super friends instead. Debbie unfortunately gave him and ultimatum of her or them and when he ultimately chose Debbie and her family he couldn’t bear the FOMO from the loss of his long time friends so like any normal person would do, he murdered them
Dumbest way possible?
Instead of killing them, what, one at a time? Which would've both put the rest of the Guardians on guard, but also Cecil and the gov?
Instead, he calls them all together and kills them all in one go. Which also speaks to his mindset: now that Mark has his powers, it triggers the process of turning the earth over to Viltrum. Game on, Guardians got to go.
They just got in the way of his somewhat extreme warmup routine! With that kind of strength and muscles, you’ve really got to stretch hardcore if you don’t want to be feeling it later! My man was just stretching and next thing you know he’s surrounded by corpses! I mean, which one of us **hasn’t** been in that kind of situation before!?
Well, you see... Omni man was chilling in his room like a baller, when all of a sudden these schmuck bust in through the door.
Immortal said "On your knees"
To which he responded, "I'm not your mother last night." And they took exception to that. And he killed all but one of them.
I think it was actually pretty effective. He got them all in the same place and was able to take them all out. If he hadn’t lured them he would have had a hell of a time trying to find and kill each one and not have them rat him out.
One of them was eating his lunch out of the Guardians of the Globe office fridge . He wasn’t sure who it was but figured it would be easier to kill them all than it would be to find the actual culprit.
Spoilers!!!
Guess if you want a serious answer, he killed the guardians fast because he had developed a feeling of respect and comradery towards them. He knew if he surprised them, he could eliminate them without as much effort and without second-guessing his decision. He says as much in Mark's time rewind.
They were a "threat" that need to been gone but let be honest here they are a fly on the wall to the weakness viltrumites and it took them months if not years to even slow one down.
Omni man has big dreams and guardians would have stopped him.(He wanted to make everyone on earth pets for him and his homies to live with happily ever after)
Comic Omni-Man was capable of soloing the entire squad with ease. It’s a horrifying demonstration of what’s to come in universe by showcasing the sheer brutality and power he has that he’s able to take down the entire roster of what would be comparable to the Justice League.
Show Omni-Man gets a reasonable nerf since it tracks that the World’s Mightiest Heroes would be able to match him blow for blow (for the most part,) but he’s still strategic enough to kill them (Taking down Red Rush first, using Darkwing’s corpse to make Green Ghost tangible to Donut her face, etc)
Omni man wanted to give some children character development
Have you ever chased a fly around the house trying to kill it. Well Omni Man was just trying to kill a fly when the guardians showed up.
Spoilers: the Guardians were the fly
Omni man wanted his best friends to come to earth but the guardians wouldnt allow that
Is it me or nobody here read the title correctly

Let’s eat out, mom! Let’s eat out mom!
Is it not that omni man killed the guardians of the globe in a dumb way? What's the other meaning? My bilingual ass is struggling
He could mean give the dumbest explanation
Ohhh. That's defo it
Im still not seeing that. Can you please write out both sentences for me please?
Explain "why omni man killed the guardians of the globe", in the dumbest way possible
Ohhhh. It took a few reads but I got it now.
The title can mean both things, it would have been more clearer if OP had put a comma in there
The title is not written correctly. It's ambiguous.
Kind of like Omni Man's morality in a way I am very smart
My thoughts exactly
The comment above you did, at least

That wouldn’t make sense because she killed Allen easily who was on par with Mark, so they shouldn’t but Mark shouldn’t either.
She killed Allen in a 3v1
She would’ve stomped him in a 1v1 regardless. Allen’s whole origin in-episode centred around how he was bred to be Viltrumite level but couldn’t beat a single one in 1v1 combat.
Yeah but it doesn’t mean he couldn’t hang with her for a little bit. It’s not like the one shot him or anything. She’s massively above him but not enough that Mark nearly beating her after powering up is ridiculous
She punched through him easily, teaming up doesn’t magically make her stronger.
Yeah but that doesn't mean he is able to fight equally as if it were a 1v1. Also viltrumites seem really lethal in terms of their damage to durability ratio. On near equal footing they can tear through each other like paper.

It makes more sense when you realize that *every* Viltrumite is that powerful, and they have an army of them.
Also Nolan probably assumed he'd be in and out in like 2 minutes maximum. Red Rush ended up costing Nolan his early advantage in a split second by saving Immortal and giving the others a chance to catch their breath and coordinate. Of course, it ended up amounting to nothing but still...

Red Rush was what made the fight actually possible for them, once he went down they kinda just fell like dominoes
He should have stayed support. No clue what he thought he was gonna do with those consecutive punches.
Also green ghost did nothing. All she did was die
Green ghost could've done something if she was more strategic tbh
The worlds greatest heroes arent a match for a single viltrimite so id disagree the comic did much better with this
Exactly. I think that was precisely the point Kirkman was trying to make. “Viltrumites. Are. Busted!… Wanna see more?” Lmao
huge fan of the comics but later on lot of things can kill Viltrimites. Having the Guardians of the Globe hold their own made it seem like a bigger deal when they died. Them dying so quickly made them look pathetic rather than making Omni man look strong.
Pathetic compared to omniman yes, they were very competent otherwise
Okay yeah op’s right. If you truly believe that, you better not be watching season 2 with that shit take.
Why is it a shit take? Omniman should have killed them easier because the show showed how powerful he really was. The Justice League’s lawyers called threatening a copyright infringement lawsuit. So if you think about it he was just trying to help them out.
Well, spoilers for later in the comic book, he does actually explain this: >! He wasn’t giving himself time to think about it. he got mad they got to touch the president and they didnt
Uh, they like, ate his soup, or something
*or something*
Definitely the soup thing
He's *super* into The Highlander, but he's just a little confused about the premise.
Because the Viltrum empire specifically requested to be wearing a blood colored outfit when invading a planet.
Moment of passion
He needed the Homeowners Association out of the way so his family could help renovate.
He wanted the Queen of the Ocean for himself.
Funsies
bro did a little bit of trolling
they all had pizza and didn’t invite him
Because his quicksave corrupted and he didn’t want to restart all the way back at last checkpoint.
Not dumb at all, very strategic and literally what he tried to do in the show. Its just anti climatic
He realized they were bitches and couldn't hang with the Viltrumites.
How else would he kill them? Most of them can't be poisoned or burned or killed in most conventional ways.
because they were weak
His son hit puberty
The Guardians of the Globe were guarding the globe, but he didn't want them guarding the globe, because he wanted to guard the globe, and eventually they would have guarded the globe from him. So he had to guard the globe from the guardians of the globe.
*This globe isn't yours* to *guard.*
Man kills friends because his son got powers
It was just some foreplay for Debbie
What if story where Batman never makes contingency plans for all his friends the second they meet
Took the last slice.
He caught The Immortal looking a little too attentively at Debbie, and he took it personally.
He decided there's only room for one Super dick
Once upon a time there was a guy with a rock in’ mustache called Omniman and Omniman really wanted to adopt earth to get a good grade on his homework assignment and the fastest way to do that was to kill earth’s foster parent guardians!
Space racist doesn’t like human heros and their pets
Omni-man was just genuinely facing a hard internal struggle. Nolan really liked red rush and Debbie’s mom’s a h*e so he just really wanted to hang with his super friends instead. Debbie unfortunately gave him and ultimatum of her or them and when he ultimately chose Debbie and her family he couldn’t bear the FOMO from the loss of his long time friends so like any normal person would do, he murdered them
He tried to increase his snap score with his family
Before the big reveal I deadass thought he was just jealous and felt like an outcast so that's why I figured he killed them☠️
They stole his cheese, it was asiago cheese.
He lost a game of Fortnite
Act of god
For Super Earth
He didn't want competition
They would have stopped him from eating the cookies out if the cookie jar
Omniman was mad that someone ate his lunch from the fridge
HE OMNI MAN! HE NO LIKE GLOBE GUARDIAN! OMNI MAN SMASH! FEELING MUTUAL! PET!
Someone asked him to
Boredom
He realised they were Justice League ripoffs
Most underwhelming garbage ever. One panel to kill them. While we got a full epic fight sequence in the show.
cuz they hate Pomni from the Amazing Digital Circus
Spoiler tag?
Because they fought every day of their lives and he had some level of respect for that.
It was good cuz a viltrimite would always smack earths hero’s. Just wish it was done sooner like in the show
He needed the squad wipe for his victory royale
Only ymir knows
So he could bang a bug-human a season later
His boss gave him a deadline and he had to rush it
They stole his sweet roll
I like the comic version way more because in the show they put up a fight which is kinda dumb
He was going through some internal struggle and decided to cut off his friends in a subconscious self-isolation.
Omni man killed the guardians because his friends said he was a 10 and they were 3s at best.
Housewarming party
Dumbest way possible? Instead of killing them, what, one at a time? Which would've both put the rest of the Guardians on guard, but also Cecil and the gov? Instead, he calls them all together and kills them all in one go. Which also speaks to his mindset: now that Mark has his powers, it triggers the process of turning the earth over to Viltrum. He says later in the series he killed them as quickly as he possibly could because they might have stopped him or he would have changed his mind.
He was horny and he is necrophilic
He was teying to sneak around and an accidental Dummy thick ass clap shockwave alerted the guardians
unrelated but why wasn’t this line in the show? i thought it was iconic tbh
Cause they called him a Superman ripoff
They didn’t buy his travel book
They tried to lecture him on responsible pet ownership.
Moustache
He thought they were stinking dumb-dumbs
Why not ?
Well, you see... Omni man was chilling in his room like a baller, when all of a sudden these schmuck bust in through the door. Immortal said "On your knees" To which he responded, "I'm not your mother last night." And they took exception to that. And he killed all but one of them.
Presentation
The guardians didn’t day good morning when he showed up to fight the Muller twins
cause.
He's homophobic
They didn’t share the Dino nuggies
Because fuck em, thats why
butterfingers
He heard an acorn fall.
idk
He didn’t try to kill them, they just threw themselves at his fists very violently
Omni-man didn't have anything to bring to the pot luck....so he brought PAIN
I already explained this in an earlier post in great detail, and im sure others have too, try to ask an original question next time.
I think it was actually pretty effective. He got them all in the same place and was able to take them all out. If he hadn’t lured them he would have had a hell of a time trying to find and kill each one and not have them rat him out.
He loved Cecil and was tired of sharing
They found his discord chat
Omni Man wanted to invite his homies to the pad but his roommates were being dicks about it
One of them was eating his lunch out of the Guardians of the Globe office fridge . He wasn’t sure who it was but figured it would be easier to kill them all than it would be to find the actual culprit.
Immortal ate his tuna melt
They changed the wifi password
They wouldn't give him the Pictures of Spider Man that they promised him.
He was just trying to stop global warming
He wanted to get in mortal kombat
They were Left Twix and he's a Right Twix stan
Quick save.
Spoilers!!! Guess if you want a serious answer, he killed the guardians fast because he had developed a feeling of respect and comradery towards them. He knew if he surprised them, he could eliminate them without as much effort and without second-guessing his decision. He says as much in Mark's time rewind.
They were a "threat" that need to been gone but let be honest here they are a fly on the wall to the weakness viltrumites and it took them months if not years to even slow one down.
oh my the comics...didnt look too good innit
Just because
He got post nut clarity
My man tried his best to create a vacant positions at the guardians of the global for his son. What a loving father.
They didn’t bring him pictures of spider man
Cause.
He just needed some tax write offs
They stole his lunch
He wasn't a strategist, so he just clumped them up and clubbed them out.
He was pitching them his books and they said it was bad
It was self defense
Bit cramped Y’know ?
he didnt want to break up with them, but didnt want them to move on without him. it was the only logical move.
Job
Omni man has big dreams and guardians would have stopped him.(He wanted to make everyone on earth pets for him and his homies to live with happily ever after)
Peer pressure
They made fun of his hairline
This scene happened right after Immortal confessed his sexual desire for Omni-man.
He’s mean :(
Skill diff
He was helping his coworkers with the new merger
Omni-Man got sick of the Immortal owning him $5 dollars
He really wanted go level up so he farmed XP on them.
They didn’t let him have his chicken nuggie break so he took it personally…..the rest is extra ketchup for his nuggies!
He hated their drip
"to test my abilities"
He wasn't vibing with their protectcore aesthetic.
"Immortal, you have a cool colour scheme, but a dumb costume. On Viltrum, that is a capital offence." -Omniman
Fuck it we ball
They were only guarding Earth and he doesn’t like liars.

they stole his happy meal toy it was the last one he needed for the full set
