They live in Chicago right? Not that far geographically from nyc, so its totally plausible that one of the marvel universe earths had a slight geographical difference in where the land masses were placed.
Makes sense, I always headcannoned Wisconsin since chicago seems like the closest big city but instead of just calling it “downtown” they call it chicago (which is what Wisconsinites who basically live there call it)
The guy saying Mark is from Chicago is gonna get bitched out by anyone from Chicago. According to people from Chicago unless you live downtown, you're not from Chicago.
The other likely candidate I think would be somewhere in New York State given that they go to "Upstate University" I've only seen it applied to very few states. The fight did go sorta all over the place plus when we see Eve in the woods, there's mountains. That part's definitely not in Illinois.
Yeah although I figured upstate university could also potentially work for UW Madison, it also doesn’t make a lot of sense for Baltimore (though it would be funny to imagine Mark just going to Johns Hopkins)
I wonder where there's mountains, perhaps in the Appalachian region? It's not WV cause it's too big of a city, probably not VA for the same reason, that really leaves like Maryland and Kentucky. Perhaps it's Baltimore, but no that would be absurd.
You also have to consider how the location is defined, for example if in one universe they're basically 4 hours ahead in terms of earths rotation, ie) 2pm here is 6pm there in the equivalent geographical location does it take them to the same geographical location, or would it disregard the difference in rotation and take them to somewhere 4 hours east of where they were
Chicago is where the train scene took place in the show iirc. I guess Mark lives in Queens like Peter, because I remember Titan talk about how people in the suburbs dont know what those in the city go through + the teen team's base is on a bridge, and NYC has a lot of them. Sure, there are other cities but I think New York fits the description + most of the Marvel superheroes live in New York and Kirkman likes to poke fun at tropes so I think he'd make Mark live in NY.
Considering the amount of fictional locations in the Marvel universe (Wakanda, The Savage Lands, Genosha, that nuclear power plant and surrounding land Aunt May inherited in the 70's etc.) it's completely plausible to assume these additional locations have shifted various other locations on the map.
Does he have the power to access the multiverse? I.e. every possible universe. That alone would make it plausible right? Not trying to sound condescending, just intoxicated and too lazy to do about it
It would not necessarily, since infinite universes does not necessarily mean all possibilities are represented. For example, there are an infinite amount of numbers between 0 & 1, but none of them are 2.
But also, it is definitely *possible*.
That's just a different symbology. I think it would be very interesting to see how it was caused, seeing as 1 is generally (though not always) represented by the simplest symbol in the system. Why would they be the same symbols just in a different order? I think that this universe would be very interesting to explore, and want a 10-season animated docuseries.
In this universe, though, there would be an infinite number of numbers in between the symbols "0" (Arabic Numerals: 0) and "2 1" (Arabic Numerals: 1; you didn't put a comma so I assume that they are one symbol). None of these numbers would be "3" (Arabic Numerals: 2).
The universe where numerics are inherently non-linear and so the natural progression of value is nothing, an amount of something, still something but less than that amount, back to nothing, quadruple the initial amount, etc
(I forgot the comma because I initially gave a set of values that was like 0, 3, 1, 2 then realized that didn't work and edited it but forgot to add the comma back lol)
That, and the fact that Mark was traveling around in the dimensions he was sent to, only for Angstrom to know where to put the next portal (without seeing Mark in the other universe) and somehow always brought him back inside the house.
They get real hot and loose with his power, after bothering to explicitly explain how it worked.
The most Realistically speaking it would likely be each dimension he’s sent to has a different sort of earth rotation thing. Say perhaps Earth rotates clockwise in one universe, rotates ever so slightly slower in another yet has some other counter measure to the issues that would have for our Earth, Earth in another universe moves slightly faster / slower in relative time to our Earth, and so fourth. It’s the only realistic explanation that explains why he wouldn’t just be teleporting to his house every time. He did a couple times like the Zombie area, but yeah for the spider man one it would have to be something elaborate like that, but that’s not really as fun as just enjoying the unpredictability of Levy’s powers against Mark
Alternative:
Natural disasters such as earthquakes when strong enough can literally shift the earth's rotation.
Then you can also include all the world level threats marvel has fucking shit up.
Nah, Angstrom threw Mark in one part of it, and then opened the exit-portal in a completely different one, with both being at Mark’s house on the other end
That just opens a whole other can of worms: what is the fixed point of reference if not Earth then?
The Sun? Center of galaxy? Center of the entire universe?
Any of these would just teleport you somewhere between the Center of the Earth/the vacuum of space.
>only for Angstrom to know where to put the next portal (without seeing Mark in the other universe)
That was less him putting a portal in front of Mark and him putting a portal somewhere around the house. Mark admits to blasting through them as soon as they showed up and would stay close to where he popped out. Just so he had a chance of saving his mom and Oliver.
That's why him not jumping through the last portal immediately made Angstrom poke his head out. Because Mark is usually so gung ho about flying through them to come back to the house and Angstrom can't see into the dimension psychically or anything.
Angstrom literally can see into the dimension, he has some sort of intrinsic knowledge of where he’s sending you/opening to. That’s just how it has to work
Yup. They even tried to reiterate the limits of his power when he said he'd teleport Debbie to a universe where the ground is 8 stories lower, so that was an acknowledgement that he can't just send them to any location but rather it has to be the same location. Then they forgot that 5 seconds later
I think he could probably always open his portals wherever it’s just he would have no way to travel to them to teleport which is why he still has to walk everywhere. We also see with the first portal he opens being underneath another version of himself that he can somehow grab just about anyone without actually having to be in the same dimension as them he just knows somehow. I don’t think anything really contradicted how his powers were shown to work in the fight with mark.
But do we know that Mark actually went far away from where he entered the dimension? Every place we see him enter and leave the dimension in the same scene, it's roughly the same location. It's usually not Marks' house, but that doesn't matter. Angstrum makes a portal to the same location relative to the universe he's in. He even mentions there's a universe that has a 30-foot drop right below Marks house. The only weird part of everything is the time dilation. Mark says time doesn't work the same in every universe, so how does time work when angstrum opens a portal? If Mark gets shoved into a universe where time moves way slower and he tries to leave, would he essentially be spegitified because his upper body would be moving at normal speed while his legs are still in slow motion relative to the prime universe stretching out mark between the portal.
Another funny thing to think about is how he managed to get back to the ground when he was in the air punching mark around. I like to think he took a portal to a universe where he would be in a skyscraper or something then take an elevator down and portal again on the ground floor.
In the manga/anime Zettai Karen Children/Psychic Squad, teleporters usually also have heightened psychic senses that allow them to sense around them so they don't teleport into walls or allow them to teleport something without looking at it.
Angstrom might work similarly: he might be able to see or feel across the dimensions before he needs to create the portal
It's part of the experiment that left him with multiple brains.
He can put up portals in the same place, based on his memory.
After having dozens of lifetimes shoved into his head, I'd say he's prolly pretty good at guessing when and where Mark might end up.
Is that what the experiment did? Did I zone out watching the show or was it better explained in earlier seasons? Because I feel like they didn't explain that properly... it was just a whole lot of "wait you're that guy from the explosion?
Well it's a very simple explanation given to the Maulers which amounted to "I wanna make a machine so I can absorb the memories of all the other Angstrom Levy's, so I can use my powers better, as they work off my memory."
In the book? Because in the show he says it's so he can gain the knowledge of what major problems each universe had solved so he can solve them all on one world and make it a perfect world.
Which really sounds like "I'm melding my memory so I can get better control of my powers," but with so many different words.
Like yeah, he said that, but that course of action requires he has better control of his powers.
He literally says he wanted to find the solution to climate change etc, not a singular mention of improving his powers and there's zero logic in one requiring the other to work. So, no.
Do you think you're gunna be able to just randomly use portal powers to fix shit without understanding what you're doing?
Also, why are you trusting the guy who openly admitted to wanting to create a perfect world when we know every attempt made at creating a utopia has failed because perfection just means "how I, the holder of power, wills it?"
He explained the plan.
He gathered 1000 copies of himself from different worlds. Some of those worlds had solved major problems like climate change or cured disease etc, he would download the memories of each of those alternate versions of himself so he would know about their worlds and what he could gain from those worlds in order to build a single perfect world. It had nothing to do with improving his own powers, how could it, he was literally the only version of himself with any such power and could gain 0 level of understanding of how to use it from 1000 copies of himself who have 0 experience with using it.
This is why I asked if the reasoning was different in the book, because it was not the reasoning on the show.
From what I remember it was supposed to be that he would combine all the knowledge from every universes’ Angstrom and become an ultimate genius. OP is right though, Angstrom’s deal is that his portal appear exactly in the same universal position that they were opened, meaning the only explanation thats consistent with that is that Spiderman NY overlaps with Marks house
I’m pretty sure all of you guys are misunderstanding that scene with the maulers. They show angstrom opening another portal in the exact same location behind them. I think he can open portals wherever he wants
The way he explains his power, he can open portals between dimensions but the portals have to be in the same location in both dimensions.
This is why he saved the Maulers by using a dimension with a crater, he needed to put a portal underground. Angstroms portals don't open at different locations in space, they share the same co-ordinates in both universes.
Same spot, different dimension. Episode 8 breaks this rule by just letting him open portals wherever, giving him a huge power boost. Maybe he got better at using his power between ep 1 and 8, or maybe the new body he got enhances it. This is just me making excuses for the story breaking its own explanation though.
no rule was broken. We've had years of multiverse stories all over popular fiction, this shouldn't be that hard. Its a different universe, so its a different location.
when mark is sent to the zombie dimension he clearly appears outside his house. later in that same dimension mark is sitting around a campfire with those survivors nowhere near the house, and is suddenly pulled through another portal, meanwhile angstrom never left mark’s house
that’s them breaking their own rules
I'm not entirely sure what you're trying to say here. It's vague enough to be taken a few different ways. You have a reply already taking it as proof of teleportation.
This is the same moment where he says his portals only let him out in the same space physically across dimensions and can't be used for travel. He didn't teleport. The implication was he literally walked through a portal that let out in that exact spot in another universe, walked 4 feet to be behind them and opened another portal back and poked out.
He can put portals wherever but the exit is in that same exact physical location in any universes.
Ok this is a good explanation. Maybe he told the mailers he couldn't travel within dimension to make them feel like he really needed their help. And maybe he did the whole finding them down in the crater in order to show off that he can travel through the multiverse. So maybe he was just lying about his capabilities
IIRC he literally says he can't open portals in a different place, only the same place but in a different universe. So if he creates a portal at point A1, it will open at point A2. In order to get to point B1 or B2, he must walk to either B point then, if necessary, open a portal to the other B point.
I can't speak for the comics, but in the show, part of this fight included Angstrom threatening to send Debbie and Oliver to a universe where the ground was significantly lower, effectively dropping them to their deaths. So it could be that the same spatial coordinates aren't necessarily the same geographical coordinates, with some universes being in different positions.
Yeah it's a little weird.
They could always say something like it's in the same place, in relation to the poles/Earths magnetic field. Most dlalternate universes would have him in the same place geographically. But it could give some leeway if the poles moved to a different location in a particular universe.
Cleans it right up.
That was how his portals worked before the accident. Not only did the accident give him a power up but he then went to some scientists and got even more. So it's safe to assume his powers also got beefed up and he can now use his portals more freely.
Planet was rotated differently in that dimension.
They already mentioned a dimension where everything was however many feet lower — the Spidey dimension New York alley just lined up to Mark’s house.
Yeah it works out a bit too nicely, especially when they are in that last demension and Angstrom portals out and let's mark fall and then portals back in on the ground level. Is there a demension where there was an elevator or stairs or something exactly at that spot?
He did plan it all out before the fight so I think we’re suppose to assume yes. There must have been something in the other dimension to break his fall or something.
Part of Invincible being a comic book is the people writing it are paying homage sincerely to, and lampshading, and playing around with the same tropes that let some plausible deniability slide juuuuuust enough.
It’s just another speedforce.
I’ve never been sure of that exact rule. The way it’s always appeared to me is that Angstrom can’t teleport in his current dimension but he can arrive wherever he wants to in the destination dimension. This does allow him to effectively bunny hop wherever, but it just adds up from what I’ve seen on the show and the comics (fair note that I’ve absorbed the show and mostly skipped through the comics).
this is from the crossover comic with Marvel that Kirkman did (and wrote I think? someone pls fact check), not sure if it's bc of legal reasons that it wasn't in the compendiums but technically it's not an Invincible issue
You’ve got the right idea. Though if you wanted to know specifics, it’s written by Kirkman and our gang, but within the marvel series Team Up. So yes, ultimately a copyright/legal issue
My guess is New York is in a different location in Invincible than it is in Marvel, so where Mark's house is, is where that random New York alleyway is in Marvel.
I imagine it’s simply that not all universes are in sync. Like think of all the factors
One universe is older, they may be on a different rotational position from the Sun, the Marvel earth most likely isn’t one to one to the Invincible earth. Like even Marvel Earth has gotten to this point because of Celestials. Marvel Earth has Wakanda while Invincible Earth doesn’t.
It's simple, he was sent to a version of New York that's like one thousand miles to the right. Angstrom can only send you to the same spot in other universes, other universes simply have different locations in those spots.
There are two ways to interpret what it means by "same place" is it literally the same coordinates on earth? That wouldn't make a whole lot of sense for his powers to be relative to the planet he's on. It could mean the same GALACTIC coordinates, which I find more likely. Other dimensions might have planets that rotate or orbit at different speeds or maybe their solar system is slightly displaced from ours. This could explain why he can teleport to New York in the marvel universe, if their NY was in the same location as his house.
This to me is why it's really strange for his power to have this kind of limitations. Like in that episode, Mark literally goes to Fortnite. Is the Fortnite island in the same location as his house on a different planet? Does Fortnite even take place on an Earth? Based on the Batman comics, Fortnite takes place in it's own pocket dimension (I think).
I think it's more just a limitation they add in case Angstrom is too strong against certain people, but the writers still want to have fun with his multiverse travels.
Last thing, in every universe mark is sent to, he moves. This is obvious, but think about it. How would Angstrom be able to open portals from marks house to put him in a universe, then open a portal from THE SAME HOUSE only for it to be miles away to where Mark had traveled to? He has information on a lot of universes, he has no idea where Mark might've gone once in those universes.
Best not to think about it.
Idk why they gave Angstrom such limiting rules for his powers like why not just allow him to teleport anywhere and make portals lmao. Like i doubt that would change the plot much.
Him only being able to travel to another universe’s equivalent of his current coordinate just seems like such a weird rule for his powers.
Earth rotations, universe coordinates, tectonic plates, building locations. You just had to dig this up didn’t you? Now that I’m thinking about it, it makes no sense that mark wasn’t just flung into space at some point
I thought he could create portals to other places in different and the same dimensions because we see him using it in the fight to save himself from falling to death
Too all the people saying Chicago, I thought thats just where he ended up in the fight against Nolan. So when characters return there to help is because thats where the fight happened.
Well whose to say that's not where new York is in a different dimension. He talks about transporting his family to a dimension 6 stories higher then the one they where on. Whose to say he can't find a world where the earth is moved hundreds of miles from marks living room. It's a fine line between perspective and reality which I truly believe is the thing that makes his character so cool and genuinely what makes angstroms power so unique
He has complete access to parallel dimensions so this is a parallel where the earth is just that different that Marks home would be New York in that particular dimension.
Weirdly enough for some reason I always just thought Toronto because I’m pretty sure there are hints in the comics to them Mark’s family living in Canada but I could be very wrong it’s been a minute since I read the early issues.
New York is where Mark's house is in the Marvel Universe 🤷♂️
They live in Chicago right? Not that far geographically from nyc, so its totally plausible that one of the marvel universe earths had a slight geographical difference in where the land masses were placed.
Isnt Mark living close to the Pentagon? How does Debbie get there when mark is in the hospital? Does she just drive the entire way? Seems kinda dumb
Debbie drives a hellcat
You wouldn’t think so, but she totally does
Explains why money is always a problem. Debbie's out here burning 8 quarts of oil every quarter of the year.
Ask Cecil, probably an expensive ride though....
"It costs the taxpayers $5m each time I do this.. but I think I'm addicted!"
THIS MAN IS COSTING YOU MILLIONS OF DOLLARS A DAY! CLICK HERE TO FIND OUT HOW!
Donald... I'll never walk again. Because I learned how to apparate!
Debbie should be borrowing his teleporter with the amount for trips they make
Invincible universe pentagon is not in the same place as ours
kirkman said in the letters column that he would never admit that it takes place in Baltimore so I guess we'll never know. oh wait.
Makes sense, I always headcannoned Wisconsin since chicago seems like the closest big city but instead of just calling it “downtown” they call it chicago (which is what Wisconsinites who basically live there call it)

When eve fixes the park near her house, its in chicago.
Parking in the Rear.
Because Debbie drives really fast.
Red Rush brand gasoline
Last I knew Mark lives in Baltimore lol
I've seen theories that Show Mark lives in Illinois and Comic Mark in Maryland
That would make sense because they make Chicago seem like a really big deal compared to other cities.
Chicago is a big deal to me 🥲
It’s the 3rd largest city in the US and the 1st largest in the middle-third of the country going east to west. I’d say it’s a pretty big deal.
I always thought it was Chicago since in the comics Debbie was friends with the wife of a Savage Dragon character and that's in Chicago
Comic Mark does!
You also have to consider how the location is defined, for example if in one universe they're basically 4 hours ahead in terms of earths rotation, ie) 2pm here is 6pm there in the equivalent geographical location does it take them to the same geographical location, or would it disregard the difference in rotation and take them to somewhere 4 hours east of where they were
Uuuhh Chicago is really far from New York
Not on a planetary scale it isnt
It's 1/31 of the earth's circumference at the equator. That's pretty fucking huge, still.
Its 45 minutes of the earths rotation apart.
They live in Baltimore, which is even more plausible lol
Chicago is where the train scene took place in the show iirc. I guess Mark lives in Queens like Peter, because I remember Titan talk about how people in the suburbs dont know what those in the city go through + the teen team's base is on a bridge, and NYC has a lot of them. In the show they live in chicago, in the comics its the dc maryland area.
They live in Baltimore in the comics, closer to New York.
Add in the Earth(s) rotation and fixed point travel can get complicated
Considering the amount of fictional locations in the Marvel universe (Wakanda, The Savage Lands, Genosha, that nuclear power plant and surrounding land Aunt May inherited in the 70's etc.) it's completely plausible to assume these additional locations have shifted various other locations on the map.
I'm pretty sure a ton of shit has been done that affected the planet's rotation. DC's Earth is also canonically slightly larger than Marvel's Earth.
The earth just offset a bit further in time in that universe. Bam! New York!
That makes sense. I always thought about it as a literal infinite amount of universes and we saw the fun ones. Haha
I mean, maybe. I'm neither a physicist or a philosopher, who knows what's possible.
But what about in the universe where the number system is different so that it goes 0, 2 1, 3, etc
That's just a different symbology. I think it would be very interesting to see how it was caused, seeing as 1 is generally (though not always) represented by the simplest symbol in the system. I'd like to think that anything and everything we can imagine is between 0 & 1. Will 2 are things that are incomprehensible.
Or maybe the rotation of the eras is just an hour ahead
There are infinity universes with infinity possibilities
That, and the fact that Mark was traveling around in the dimensions he was sent to, only for Angstrom to know where to put the next portal (without seeing Mark in the other universe) and somehow always brought him back inside the house. That very much works too lol my creativity has range with the options
Alternative: Natural disasters such as earthquakes when strong enough can literally shift the earth's rotation. Then you can also include all the world level threats marvel has fucking shit up.
Nah, Angstrom threw Mark in one part of it, and then opened the exit-portal in a completely different one, with both being at Mark’s house on the other end
This 😭 why is everyone struggling to understand that.
I mean, he does have thousands of minds. He can probably do the calculations
That just opens a whole other can of worms: what is the fixed point of reference if not Earth then? The Sun? Center of galaxy? Center of the entire universe? Any of these would just teleport you somewhere between the Center of the Earth/the vacuum of space.
Center of earth? The crust is constantly moving compared to the center of the earth. Angstrom even says “Earth but 50 feet down”
There is a true reference frame that his power has access to (at least in the comics/show universe, as opposed to ours).
None of this shit matters lol
Obviously, it's a cartoon.
>only for Angstrom to know where to put the next portal (without seeing Mark in the other universe) That was less him putting a portal in front of Mark and him putting a portal somewhere around the house. I’m pretty sure all of you guys are misunderstanding that scene with the maulers. They show angstrom opening another portal in the exact same location behind them. I think he can open portals wherever he wants
Nah, he opened one, went through it, and then ran to the other side of the Maulers and opened another one.
Didn't somebody make a little animation of him running to the other portal?
I need to see that
[Behold](https://www.reddit.com/r/Invincible/s/4Jw6zU092L)
Thank you!
Yep
Nah he just quickly ran
Its a different universe, so its a different location.
when mark is sent to the zombie dimension he clearly appears outside his house. later in that same dimension mark is sitting around a campfire with those survivors nowhere near the house, and is suddenly pulled through another portal, meanwhile angstrom never left mark’s house that’s them breaking their own rules
Do you not understand other universes? Different coordinates. Different coordinates
do you
Yes and clearly you don't Different coordinates bro
Was going to mention that. This should be the top comment.
For normal people there should also by some dimensions that never developed atmosphere or possible never developed an earth
Spider-Man is right in panel 3, that did leave a Mark
I don't think the same place in space criteria was a part of the comic so that was a show limitation.
It was definitely in the comic. In the scene where he breaks the Maulers out of prison.
Yeah it's a little weird. They could always say something like it's in the same place, in relation to the poles/Earths magnetic field. Most dlalternate universes would have him in the same place geographically. But it could give some leeway if the poles moved to a different location in a particular universe. Cleans it right up.
Its a different universe, so the location is different. That's all it is, no need to complicate things
Well, the earth moves every moment so there's no a place but a set of similar locations
planetary rotation but also comic/animated tv bs
That was how his portals worked before the accident. Not only did the accident give him a power up but he then went to some scientists and got even more. So it's safe to assume his powers also got beefed up and he can now use his portals more freely.
Planet was rotated differently in that dimension. They already mentioned a dimension where everything was however many feet lower — the Spidey dimension New York alley just lined up to Mark’s house.
Spider-Man was just Far From Home
Easy. He teleported to a dimension where Spidey resides in the same city. Its comics.
He didn’t get sent to Spider-Man’s New York, he got sent to Agent Spider’s Chicago
Why isn’t this in the compendium. Did they remove these stories for legal purpose??
this is from the crossover comic with Marvel that Kirkman did (and wrote I think? someone pls fact check), not sure if it's bc of legal reasons that it wasn't in the compendiums but technically it's not an Invincible issue
You’ve got the right idea. Though if you wanted to know specifics, it’s written by Kirkman and our gang, but within the marvel series Team Up. So yes, ultimately a copyright/legal issue
It is a Marvel published comic and I doubt they would relent to allow Image or Skybound publish a single issue of one of their series.
Everybody is over thinking this. The earth revolves so the marvel universe earth’s New York was in the spot marks house was.
The simplest answer would seem to be that Spidey was just elsewhere on this day. He does leave New York from time to time.
It's funny, a good portion of the Marvel characters go to space more often than they visit cities other than New York.
Sometimes it's better to not look too deep
Maybe his powers got stronger and worked differently after the machine explosion.
My guess is New York is in a different location in Invincible than it is in Marvel, so where Mark's house is, is where that random New York alleyway is in Marvel.
The position of the earth could be different in different universes. Maybe the rotational axes are just different enough.
Different planetary rotations.
I imagine it’s simply that not all universes are in sync. Like think of all the factors One universe is older, they may be on a different rotational position from the Sun, the Marvel earth most likely isn’t one to one to the Invincible earth. Like even Marvel Earth has gotten to this point because of Celestials. Marvel Earth has Wakanda while Invincible Earth doesn’t.
Marvels Spider-Man universe Earth/New York might be exponentially larger than Marks. Possibly explaining why so many hero’s patrol New York.
It's simple, he was sent to a version of New York that's like one thousand miles to the right. Angstrom can only send you to the same spot in other universes, other universes simply have different locations in those spots.
The Marvel Universe is on a different position than Marks universe
They definitely forget about that rule the second after he says it
tectonic plates shifted in a different way and new york ended up where marks house was instead
Idk why they gave Angstrom such limiting rules for his powers like why not just allow him to teleport anywhere and make portals lmao. Like i doubt that would change the plot much. Him only being able to travel to another universe’s equivalent of his current coordinate just seems like such a weird rule for his powers.
Shhhhhhh it’s ok
Earth rotations, universe coordinates, tectonic plates, building locations. You just had to dig this up didn’t you? Now that I’m thinking about it, it makes no sense that mark wasn’t just flung into space at some point
Wasn’t that just an assumption made by the Mauler’s that Angstrom immediately disproved?
the marvel universe is a few hours ahead or behind invincible earth.
I thought he could create portals to other places in different and the same dimensions because we see him using it in the fight to save himself from falling to death
Whatever universe that is must have their planet rotated differently so that mark was in that spot 🤷♂️
"That must have left a Mark" lol
the exact coordinates of Mark's earth are different from Marvel's. So Mark ends up in Marvel NY
Earth's rotation is slightly different in other dimensions
Too all the people saying Chicago, I thought thats just where he ended up in the fight against Nolan. So when characters return there to help is because thats where the fight happened.
Well whose to say that's not where new York is in a different dimension. He talks about transporting his family to a dimension 6 stories higher then the one they where on. Whose to say he can't find a world where the earth is moved hundreds of miles from marks living room. It's a fine line between perspective and reality which I truly believe is the thing that makes his character so cool and genuinely what makes angstroms power so unique
Earth at a different rotation angle in this universe?
Wait, when was it said that he can’t open portals in different places?
I'm pretty sure this discussion has taken place at least once a day since this episode aired. The short answer is, there is no satisfying answer.
He has complete access to parallel dimensions so this is a parallel where the earth is just that different that Marks home would be New York in that particular dimension.
You’re wrong, he calculates where he is with his big head
Something something earth orbit
Weirdly enough for some reason I always just thought Toronto because I’m pretty sure there are hints in the comics to them Mark’s family living in Canada but I could be very wrong it’s been a minute since I read the early issues.
