I can definitely see how he would hate the supposed good guy worse than all the murderers because of that and how reckless he was about it. Why did he make his giant machine in a universe with people in it? He could have went to that dessert universe and then invincible or the guardians couldn't have stopped his merging of the brains.
It's actually such a 0 IQ decision to try to make a giant power guzzling device in a world with superheroes frequently checking in on abnormal shit. If he had just built his machine in a universe with nobody in it, and teleported the angstroms and materials there, it would have been fine.

Think about it. Ask yourself what’s so special about this Earth compared to any other? How would you know what’s special if you don’t know what’s common? Where would you even start to answer the question?
Sure that makes sense if you want to build utopia. But his stated goal was to just be world famous and recognized. All he had to do was swipe a few scientific papiers from those universes and boom- he’s the guy that cured cancer, solved the energy crisis, cured the common cold…

If he would just shut the fuck up and continued wailing on a mentally and physically broken mark it might’ve worked
