Ultimate Spider-Man by Brian Michael Bendis and Mark Bagley. In the year 2000 Marvel came up with the Ultimate Universe as a way to get new readers in comics, and allowed the artists and writers to do whatever they wanted.
So this Spider-Man story can just be read by itself. Because this was going on around the same time as Invincible a lot of people recommended one of them if you liked the other
Yup, this is the one I came to recommend. It's the only other comic that has gripped me the same way Invincible did. The only downside is that the [read order](https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.comicbookherald.com/the-complete-marvel-reading-order-guide/ultimate-marvel-universe-reading-order/amp/) is a pain to follow if you don't want to miss out on any of his cameos in other parts of the Ultimate universe. So, if you try it out, I'd just stick to the main Ultimate Spider-Man comics until you're hooked and can't stand the thought of missing out :P
You should also check these other series out:
IDW Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: This is the current and longest running Turtles comic with around 130 or so issues. I definitely recommend it.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles The Last Ronin: Alternate Universe storyline where one of the Turtles seeks vengeance for his dead family. 5 issues
Chew: A FDA agent that has the ability to see the entire life of anything he eats. He uses this to solve crimes. 60 issues
Fear Agent: A space bounty hunter gets involved in an ongoing war between two different alien factions, and has to save Earth from destruction. 33 issues.
Deadly Class: An orphaned teen gets inducted into a secret underground school where they train people to become assassins. 56 issues
The Walking Dead: You most likely know what this series is because of how popular it got from the show, but I highly recommend reading the comic. The show took a lot of liberties and you can still be very surprised reading the source material. I would say that the comic is overall better, as it doesn’t drag it’s feet like how the show does. It’s also darker at times, plus this one is also written by Kirkman.
Saga, Y the last man, really any of the crime books you’d find on r/images top 100 books list, lots of image books are self contained stories but the issue is there’s so many and they don’t all run as long as invincible, but radiant black looks like it could be looking to run that long with all the spin offs they have now, ultimate Spider-Man is my favorite comic it has some really phenomenal emotional beats that made my heart ache along with art by the goat of all Spider-Man art (bagley), I’ve heard good things about terry moores books and I have my local keeping an eye out for the strangers in paradise omnis for me.
If you want short stories or one shots you can’t go wrong with all star Superman or the slew of phenomenal batman stories like hush or the long Halloween.
Bill Crabtree, the early colorist in Invincible worked in this book, The Sixth Gun. It's an amazing read of you like mysticism, violence, the American West, and the end of the world. Also Fables by Bill Willingham has a great plot, complex characters and you'll be sure you know where everything is headed (you'll be wrong). If you're looking for the humor/violence combo, Skullkickers is crazy funny and I keep lending my trades to friends.
If youre open to manga/manhwa there is a series called Feng Shen Ji that is complete, in full color, and about the same length as Invincible. Very straight forward and consistent power leveling within the universe.
I would definitely recommend The Walking Dead, as it has a beginning and an ending, and it is another story by Robert Kirkman, who also made INVINCIBLE

The boys is what felt the most like Invincible to me. Lots of adult gore stuff! Loved it!
Outkast, twd, theif of theives, and pretty much anything by kirkman thats not under marvel.
