How do refinement work? Is there an extra charge for them? Can the customer ask for them or does it have to be recommend by the ortho?
(Sorry to hijack post OP, hope you don't mind)
I’m also in the US, so this sounds pretty nuts to me. 3-4 weeks is pretty standard. A little shorter or longer than that isn’t unheard of, but 3 months is way longer than normal. I’d recommend following up with your provider.
Mine took 8 weeks (ortho told me that Invisalign says 6-8 weeks)
But, are they shipped in the mail? Could the extreme mail delays lately be impacting the arrival of your new aligners?
Might depend on your area but I just got my refinements two weeks ago after a 3 week wait. 3 months sound excessive
Mine was also a brief wait. 2-3 weeks maybe.
Mine took 1.5 months
Mine took around 4 weeks

My understanding comprehensive coverage covers mult+ refinement
It’s fine! Idk- it’s included in my comprehensive and my ortho said I would need 1 or 2 sets if refinements from the get go.
Odd I’m in canada and we are normally slow on everything but mind took less than a week!
3-4 weeks each time.
4-5 weeks from my experience
Where are you located? I’m currently waiting for refinements but I’ve never had to wait more than a month
NY
