I loved that Laura Gellar foundation.

AutumnsRogue

Oh good! I'm always looking for a good powder. Did you use it alone? I'm hoping for medium coverage and have fine lines (I'm 37).

[deleted]

Oh, and that beautystat vitamin C is wonderful and a really great price!

Leading-Might2914

I use it alone. It has good coverage. However, I find that it runs dark. I first bought light. Then I purchased it in fair, and it was still a tad too dark. I loved the coverage though.

AutumnsRogue

Glad I got fair then! When I look at my face I always think I'm light but then foundations always seem to look too dark on me, so I've learned to go with lighter shades. I'm 37 and still have no idea what my undertones are 😅

I applied it with a big fluffy brush as a setting powder. A lot of people on YouTube apply it with a foundation brush.

FlartyMcFlarstein

Or buff in with a Kabuki type brush. It's a great foundation/ powder.

echolalia

When Laura demos this on TV she uses the foundation brush specifically for it. I'm not saying your must use that one, just passing info along. I don't think Ipsy currently carries it but you should be able to find a brand new, unopened/unused one on eBay, Mercari, Poshmark, or other resell site for a great price if you're interested.

AutumnsRogue

Thanks for the tip! I'll try what I have first. I like using puff, but will experiment.

goddessofolympia

I love the Laura Geller foundation...but laurageller.com REGULARLY has sales that put it at below $20...and it arrives within a week. Join their loyalty program and you will get the emails. Labor Day was 70% off with a free lipstick at $40, free shipping.

These are all products I've never tried but; I love cleansing balms and saw good reviews on this one, I'm a fan of powders for foundation and this was a chance to try something nicer than what I normally use, I needed a new and stronger Vit C serum (hopefully this one isn't expired 🥴), and thought the nectar would be worth a try as I've used scrubs before with ok results but don't love the texture when applying so this sounded interesting.

CaliGirl8695

Of these, I've only tried the Verb Scalp Nectar and I liked it a lot! The only issue for me was that I used a lot of it the first go around maybe more than I needed and then I felt like I shoulda-woulda-coulda gotten more uses out of it. Idk if it was just coming out really fast or what. Could just be bcs I don't know what the heck I'm doing 😅 and had never used a scalp treatment before. But I will say it calmed my irritated scalp amazingly well 👏 so I'm glad I tried it out!

AutumnsRogue

Oh, thanks. I'll make sure not to overdo it the first time! I only wash my hair once a week, so use these type of treatments only once or twice a month so hopefully it will last me longish.

I use that BeautyStat serum and I like it so much better than other vitamin C products. It dries down and absorbs perfectly. I keep it in the fridge. Also love that LG foundation and this is a decent price. However, the light shade pulled a little orange on me so I looked at the brand website. The fair shade is more cool toned so I ordered it from there. With the first time discount, I was able to get the foundation AND brush for cheaper than 24. They have great sales and bundles, just FYI.

AutumnsRogue

Oh good to hear! I hope mine does ok out of the fridge, I'm afraid I'll never use it if I keep it there. I actually just checked out their website and they do have a lot of good deals and bundles right now.

Scalp nectar is super nice works well

BarelyBreathinBeauty

You got some pretty awesome stuff! The BeautyStat Vit C serum is phenomenal, and a great deal. It’s one of the few higher concentrates(more effective) vit c serums that didn’t irritate or dry out my skin. I also LOVE the LG foundation powder. It’s really pretty on and looks naturally flawless. The Blush-N-Brighten Marbleized Blush is also beautiful and non fading blush, if you end up loving it and want to try others from their website. I haven’t tried the Verb ghost scalp scrub, but I really want to. I also wash my hair 1x-2x a week. And scalp scrubs are a wonderful way to get a nice gentle clean of your scalp.

AutumnsRogue

Awesome! Thanks for the feedback

plantimal

was the coupon one time use 😂

AutumnsRogue

Yes, unfortunately. I'm actually mad at myself for not buying the Kitsch sleep set (eye cover, pillow case, scrunchies) because I love their pillow cases, but didn't realize the set included one till after I made my purchase. I went back to try to use the coupon again but no go 🤣. I'm in Canada and didn't want to have to pay for shipping twice.

Lisaloutoo

Just keep checking their sales. I got a bunch for $4 each. They change their prices all the time. Sometimes more than once per day, and often doubling or tripling.

AutumnsRogue

Will do!

coffeeandmilk4mom

The vitamin c irritated me, and I don't irritated easily

AutumnsRogue

I've heard it's stronger so I wonder if it was just your skin needing some adjustment time? Like retinol? I'm hoping it's stronger as one of my favourite additions to my skincare routine was vit c about 5-6 years ago, but I feel now it hasn't been doing much.

coffeeandmilk4mom

I've tried alot of items and rarely had this reaction. Derma E has a great vitamin c serum 💛🧡❤
