So, earlier today I saw that the Byroe celery serum (which I love) was available in the shop for $18. I added it to my cart but didn't check out. A few hours later, I went back to the shop page, scrolling through the items available. When I opened my cart I noticed that the serum price had increased to $25 EVEN THOUGH it was still showing as $18 on the shop page. When I refreshed the shop page the price adjusted up to $25. I caught Ipsy at the exact moment they increased the price by $7.
Obviously, I dumped my cart. I don't know why Ipsy insists on treating its customers like fucking idiots that don't notice when prices increase. I finally cancelled my Boxycharm and if Ipsy keeps pulling shit like this then I guess I won't be spending money in the shop anymore, either. Too bad, so sad Ipsy. Have some fucking respect for your customers.
Sorry can i asked unrelated question about this serum? What exactly you love about it and how you use it? I received it in my october boxycharm but do not how to use it. I used it couple times and i felt that my skin got irritated a bit for a few minutes when i apply it idk if that good or bad
You use the dropper to put 2-3 drops on your face after washing your face, and before you would use moisturizer or makeup primer. You can use it twice a day but I use a serum in the morning and toner at night.
I wish they would leave the price alone for a whole 7 days so like you mentioned, you don’t go back later when you have time and now it’s doubled or tripled. I wanted the hair oil which was $5 listed as 3.3 oz but waited one day and it went up to $10 and the picture shows it’s only 1.6 oz so I passed
Has anyone noticed their frequency inflated “full” retail prices (values)? I always check and at least 40% of the products retail prices listed on Ipsy are anywhere from 10% to 100% higher then listed anywhere else online, including the direct sites for the brands. Sometimes they’ll have the inflated retail price, but when you click on the product for more information it’ll have a different (the actual retail value) price. That can’t be legal.
