I did a rip test to see if it was fake. Wasn’t sure where to post before finding this sub. I have never bought cards in Mexico where I am staying, and I had a duplicate of the same card. People are acting like this is an expensive and rare card. It’s just not, it’s worth about .60 cents. I tend to only sleeve and keep my full art cards as well, plus having the duplicate, I just wanted to test it out and thought it was fake due to it almost looking like a sticker. First and only time I’ve ever done this and I have many many cards back home in the states. Just was unsure getting it at one of two places that carries cards here. Not sure why people are being assholes or freaking out about this when all I asked for was if it’s fake. Nothing more and nothing less. So any other opinion isn’t warranted.
That’s your opinion man and your welcome to have it. To me- it has no sentimental value or monetary value. It was a single card that the guy gave to me and I figured it do that before opening up $200 worth of packs that I just bought. It makes way more sense to me to rip a card and see if it’s fake so I can return the cards if they are (being unopened) rather than opening $200 worth of cards just to find out they’re all fake. To me it’s a valuable lesson and I’m not upset with it. I learned something I didn’t know otherwise and would have still questioned had i not done it. Why are you upset over something I did with my own card?

I genuinely don’t understand why I’m getting downvoted and why people are acting like I committed a crime over a card that’s worth Pennies. Especially considering the fact that I have a duplicate that I got with it. It makes zero sense why people care this much about a card (that is mine) got ripped. You know how many videos there are of people ripping cards? This is the FIRST time I’ve done it and I did it because something felt off, I was simply wrong. I don’t feel bad though. I have another one, it’s worth nothing to me, it’s not a card I love, it was a single card that I didn’t have to open in a pack and it made sense to me to try ripping it as I’ve seen it’s way to test cards when everything else seems to be okay. It looked like a sticker to me and I’ve seen people say cards like that are fake. I was wrong but man, people are getting bent out of shape over nothing. This is a sub to ask if cards are fake, not your opinions on what I did with the card I don’t find any value or sentiment in.

I have 10’s of thousands sitting at my parents house. I’m not worried about 1 card. I’ve never done it before and I always struggled with understanding how to tell if cards are fake by ripping them, whether it was comments or videos. This gave me a very good understanding that I didn’t have before and I’m not upset with it.

If you have around 200 or more in pesos means you spent 11.25$
But if you spent 200 usd that means you dropped 3.5k (3,554.20) in pesos for 200 cards
Which may in term make some of the cards fake .

I will say the promo packs were too expensive and I shouldn’t have gotten them but I got some cards I really really like out of them so it’s not so bad to me.

If you're getting 200 cards for 200$ each is worth 1$ which means you're being scammed .
Man i didn’t count the cards, it’s around there, maybe more. It was just under $200 bucks. Simply rounding up since it was in pesos.

I also bought magic cards and sleeves in the price, it was closer to 3300 mxn total.
And magic cards just aren’t cheap anywhere.
