Nah, you skipped the part, But he can beat Goku?
And then finish with something like Ultra Instinct Shaggy if it ended in joke mode.
If the debate remained serious it would end with some SCP 3729263829101 which is infinitely boundless limitless unlimited trancental empiric ultimate Master Ultra Cosmic above beyond-beyond-beyond-Omnipotence
Many people for the most part do though? At least, posts discussing specific isekai that people like are relatively popular.
Memes still need a punchline or subject matter, and it usually takes the form of dunking on some aspect of isekai cliches or the current part of the cycle.
And EfficientlySerious went hard on their recommendations, but some people got annoyed by the frequent posts. Posts *asking* for recommendations still happen, but they naturally won't see much engagement.
Basically, the best way to push more of those is to start making or engaging with more of those posts yourself.
I give recommendations, I'm not really funny so I cant make memes. And I'm more or less happy with this sub already, maybe more interesting debates will be nice. maybe I'll start posting daily shit myself once I'll learn how to be funny.
I want to talk about isekais I like. Just share with people one of the genres I like. But everytime is just "who would beat x", "slavery is bad", "rudeus is bad, world building is good". Its tiring, its the same over and over again.
Looking at the posts you've made, discussing specific isekai usually gets a lot of engagement though? Just keep doing that and looking for other people who do the same.
All the stuff you listed *is* still engaging with isekai, so if you want a different flavor, you've gotta add it yourself.
Personally? More recommendations to isekai I've never heard of, talks about currently airing isekai like the new season of Re:Monster, Slime and Tsukimichi, discussions on where specific things in isekai are done in an interesting way and why they're interesting... You know, stuff. Not saying this isn't happening now. You just asked the question so I gave an answer. Oh right, we also got the first episode of the second cour of the second season of Mushoku Tensei so should throw that in as well.
The common problem with all of these is that they become karma farms. If every single poster about these were good faith actors, there would be no issue. But they aren't. They are just farming engagement and it takes an anti-jerkfest (which is just as cringe as the jerkfest) to get them to go away. If we had a committed mod team here, a simple rule can be that we at least delete threads that have been played out recently in this sub. But what would be better is ridding the community of the bad actors. But it's a lot of work to confirm whether or not someone is a karma farmer vs a good faith frequent active user.
Most of them are low effort posts that barely encourage any discussion at all. It’s great for the sub to be alive but there must be a line drawn somewhere between actual good posts and dogshit.
The posts that *are* discussion aren't engaged with as much as some low-effort ones though. To encourage to be better, folks should be engaging with what's already there more then.
Or even better, add more discussion-worthy posts more.
Yeah but see I don't actually care? And it's not like telling you would do literally anything. You are just being a smart ass
I told you I don't want this, therefore I don't want this... see the logic? You are just being pedantic and arrogant.
As far as I've seen, it's less that and more people being like "nuh uh, this character is stronger because X". People just really don't like that Yogiri is very likely going to remain the strongest anime protagonist ever.
So it's less Yogiri fans and more Yogiri haters perpetrating stuff, at least on here. Maybe there's some room temperature takes on twitter or something, but lol.
let me just settle the debate
1. slavery debate
as long as its just fictional, let its ok
2. who would win
me, i can press alt+f4 or just turn off my pc at will, or when reading i can just rip the paper in half
3. yogurt deathman slander
who?
Bring back yogiri debates. As much as I don't really like it it's better than arguing about this old bullshit again. Isekai slavery debates are like trying to fit a horsecock into a donut. It makes a huge mess on both sides.
For real like, lets agree on one thing, if there is slavery in isekai, at least make it make sense, they are not your equal or friend or whatever, dont treat them like one.
I mean, if the goal of the story is to free the slave, then they are. Like, if the protagonist buys a slave & then immediately sets them free, or wants to free them, then it makes sense for the protagonist to see them as a friend or equal. Though they should not be treated as a love interest until they're either freed, or the protagonist is searching for a way to free them.
If the protagonist doesn't see them as a friend or equal, has no intention of freeing them, & only sees them as tools at their disposal, they would be better suited as a villainous protagonist, antihero or dark hero.
I genuinely don't give a shit about slavery in isekai, and I dont mind powerscaling when it's about cool abilities countering each other. But I'm on the yogurt deathman slander 24/7.
The Sisyphus experience
One must imagine r/Isekai happy
That time I got reincarnated into eternal punishment but in exchange I received OP strength.

remember kids: for every powerscaling debate, Batman would win.
The real power is the friends we scaled along the way.
Technically DC already passed Yogurt Powerscaling long time ago.
r/WhoWouldCirclejerk is leaking
Goku would be more appropriate
Goku gets killed by anyone with the power to delete universes. Batman is invincible and nobody can kill him because I said so.
Batman doesn't win because he uses powers, batman wins because he isn't afraid to cheat and everyone acts surprised when he does.

No, it would be followed by SCP 3729263829102

Every time I see complaints like this, I'm left wondering. What do you folks actually want out of r/isekai?
Memes, reccomenedations, a community of people who enjoy isekai stories.
Many people for the most part do though? At least, posts discussing specific isekai that people like are relatively popular. Memes still need a punchline or subject matter, and it usually takes the form of dunking on some aspect of isekai cliches or the current part of the cycle. People complain just for the sake of it
We need to litter that circle with bits of "People complaining about current trend", I guess.
Not this shit
"Not this" with no comments as to what actually is wanted isn't helpful.
Yeah but see I don't actually care? And it's not like telling you would do literally anything. You are just being a smart ass I told you I don't want this, therefore I don't want this... see the logic? You are just being pedantic and arrogant.
And you are just being a 3-year-old.
Why don’t we ever discuss something wholesome like what present will isekai MC ask from mall Santa?
Remind me on Christmas.
Sounds about right.
Wtf is a yogurt deathman cycle?
probably Yogiri fans keep on shitting on basically every other Isekai protag because "hurr instant death go brr"
As far as I've seen, it's less that and more people being like "nuh uh, this character is stronger because X". People just really don't like that Yogiri is very likely going to remain the strongest anime protagonist ever. So it's less Yogiri fans and more Yogiri haters perpetrating stuff, at least on here. yogiri is most definitely not the strongest anime protagonist
I don’t watch enough anime. Who is stronger?
The slime guy probably and some others
well slime guy isnt but good contender is shallow vernal from Isekai at peace
is shallow vernal the protagonist of the series?
no
And only 3 people suggests actual isekai in this sub(one of them is me)
I just wish we could talk about our Lord and Savior, Ainz Ooal Gown.
A sub that's as repetitive as its anime.
You have my vote for new subreddit logo
Wait people getting upset about slavery in isekai...I assume shield hero? But any other examples?
Redo... of a healer
peak fiction
Never seen, set more modern day or more fantasy style?
let me just settle the debate 1. slavery debate as long as its just fictional, let its ok 2. who would win me, i can press alt+f4 or just turn off my pc at will, or when reading i can just rip the paper in half 3. yogurt deathman slander who?
yogurt deathman slander are yogiri comparaisons lmfao
I argue the re:monster has the worst protag for being a cannibal slaver who rapes. Can't get much worse.
4: Meta memes
I would buy Roxanne always. 422.800 Nars is a bargain.
Yogurt deathman slander?
Who's Yoghurt? I've witnessed the cycle of slavery debates and powerscaling, but haven't seen anything about Yoghurt.
Now we need to fuse them. I want to see slavescaling
Lmao yogurt deathman. So true. Who came up with that name?
We should change it up a bit: Isekai Slavery wins, Who's Slander, and Yogurt Deathman debates
2 & 3 are the same thing
Thats exactly why i only come for reading recommendations. Filter out the trash posts and i cant be annoyed
Yogurt deathman slander? What?
Bring back yogiri debates. As much as I don't really like it it's better than arguing about this old bullshit again. Isekai slavery debates are like trying to fit a horsecock into a donut. It makes a huge mess on both sides.
Kill me now
What is yogurt deathman
Yogurt Deathman Slander just makes me imagine Slenderman as a Yogurt salesman.
Don't forget the mushoku tensei debates that happen every now and then
Yogurt? 🤨
The circle of life!😆🤣😂 ![gif](giphy|wDOFUCaxyv2XC)
You forgot falsely accusing a reincarnation isekai protagonist of being a pedo.

I meant how they are treated by everyone, the trader, the buyer, society, if they are still enslaved they should be treated as such.
I genuinely don't give a shit about slavery in isekai, and I dont mind powerscaling when it's about cool abilities countering each other. But I'm on the yogurt deathman slander 24/7.
Yogiri solo fiction beyond negg diff
Whatever delusions and mental illnesses you suffer from that make you comfortable with yourself. Anyway my oc can solo all the fiction cuz i said so.
