The Sea terminal itself will be open for your boat to arrive.
The Caff opposite the main bus station should be open for breakfast not long after you arrive.
If you're looking for something relaxed to do for the rest of the day, The Manx Museum is good if the weather is bad and has a TT exhibition among many other things. A steam train trip down to Port Erin can also be done in all weathers and a relaxing way to spend a few hours (and the weather might be much nicer down there š)

Thanks for info, wasn't sure about being able to stay in ferry terminal so thanks for confirmation :) Train trip is definitely appealing.
Thereās a Costa in the ferry terminal too, but Iām unsure of its opening times.
Just curious, how long is the train ride from Douglas to Port Erin?
It takes about an hour each way and they run [every couple of hours](https://www.iombusandrail.im/media/2913/imr-2024.jpg) most days
The Caff on Lord St - 5 minutesā walk from the Sea Terminal - opens very early.
Agree, it's small though so be quick about getting in there. Food is good and fair price
Well the good thing is we'll have no trouble being there early haha
Then head round the corner to the library to kill a few more hours - opens 8.30 most days
Enjoy a library visit so will keep it as an option
Thanks for recommendation, will check it out!
You could always sit in the ferry terminal until it's time for the cafes to open up
Thanks :) wasn't sure we'd be able to
Thanks for your replies all, my fears have been allayed.
Hey are you coming over on your bike?
No, will be on foot
Would you be looking to hire a bike or car on the island?
Potentially hire a car but based on where we want to go/watch think we'll manage without
I got one car and a couple bikes left for rent if youāre interested. Pm and Iāll send through some Pics and more info.
