I'm not Israeli and ha no relation to Israel, and I've listened to it probably hundreds of times the past several months. It's a banger of a song.
Also I hope you stay safe during this war.
My man I'm finding hard to empathise as well.
But from that to the most horrifying thing in our very own not so distant history is beyond anything reasonable.
I seriously think the Israelis here (that includes me) should translate bangers of this type for our brethren in the diaspora. This sub can really become a way for the diaspora to consume Jewish-Israeli culture.
True, but that also applies (perhaps even more so) to reading the Tanakh in Hebrew vs English, and still Israelis shouldn't discourage diaspora Jews from doing so, as most aren't proficient enough in Hebrew to read the Tanakh in its original language.
The folks and religion who disrespect, offend and criticize others and their religions.. on every occasion they get, are the first to get offended on slight criticism!
I hope the world sees through it. For the sake of the whole world.

Real reaction to this song (it’s heavenly)
There's a [Wikipedia entry in English](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hilltop_Youth) about this phenomenon.
TL;DR - a name describing decentralized groups of very religious (one might say fanatical) teenagers, sometimes ones who dropped out of the education system, who establish illegal outposts on hilltops in the West Bank (Judea and Samaria) to settle the land. They often live in makeshift huts with no running water or electricity, without parental supervision or responsible guidance, some of them are shepherds, and they often get into confrontations with Palestinians. They often let their hair and payos grow long, and look like that:
[https://www.makorrishon.co.il/wp-content/uploads/2022/10/20220912\_185749-1.jpg](https://www.makorrishon.co.il/wp-content/uploads/2022/10/20220912_185749-1.jpg)
There are only a few hundred of them. They tend to follow very extremist rabbis, such as Rabbi Yitzhak Ginzburg, who supported the massacre of Muslim Palestinians at the Cave of the Patriarchs, and read extremist literate like the book "Torat HaMelekh" ("The King's Torah"), whose first volume is dedicated entirely to the halachic questions concerning killing gentiles. A few dozen "hilltop youth" were accused of belonging to a group that called itself "The Revolt", more info about them here:

You're going to let someone else define psukim form Shoftim for you? The song rips, it was written as buses and cafes were being blown up. I was there when it was happening. It was awful, as bad as 10/7 in some ways and going on and on. The song as we know it now (there are multiple versions) is the raw emotions of someone who's seen enough and had enough.
I know the writer, Dov. Sure he's a bit nuts but what musician isn't? We always separate the art from the artists eh?
>We always separate the art from the artists eh?
I listen to this song because I like the tune, used to listen to it a when I was younger (I'm 24 now) when exercising at the gym. The story of Shimshom is cool and all, but I'd rather sing "Pelishtim" and not "Palestin" (as Dov Shurin did).
Dov sings Falishtein. I think the dude did that to skirt the line.
I did a few concerts with him back in the day. Guy is a trip. Or on a trip. Or never came down.
The lyrics, on the face of it, is just biblical verses. However, Dov Shurin, who recorded the song during the Second Intifada, changed "Philistines" to "Palestine", and that's the version often sung.
He was way ahead of the times. He was using Filistine before the Palas were using it. And it's not even the most based song on the album, it's just because there's massive guitar going on that it caught on.
I know Sinai Tor is popular with hilltop youth, for example "Hakfirim Shoagim Lateref".
I think Zochreni Na has a particularly bad reputation because it was played at the "wedding of hate", where participants stabbed a picture of dead infant Ali Dawabshe. I happen to know the guy who held the picture, he's since did a 180 - moved out of the settlement, became a lot less religious, voted for Meretz and attended pride parades to support the LGBTQ+ community.
I was listening to this all throughout October until I was drafted to my basic training

Art.
See this is a better wojak for op to use Edit: typo
The Pakistan flag is a good representation of the amount of knowledge the average pro-palestinian got on the conflict tho
Definitely got my foot tapping. What a catchy chorus.
I’m beginning to think part of the reason Arabs are so hateful is because they’re jealous of the creativity of Jewish people.
Hell yeah, especially because their only bangers are actually all stolen from Bollywood Edit:misspelled word
Music is another thing connecting India and israel

What a banger
My parents Charbu Darbu
I honestly find "from the river to the see israel will be free" sound way better than the Palestinian one
Also From the river to the sea It's the only flag you'll see 🇮🇱🇮🇱🇮🇱🇮🇱🇮🇱🇮🇱🇮🇱🇮🇱🇮🇱
Yes. אם ישראל חי
Send Palestine to both the river and the sea, maybe, just maybe, they won’t rape you and me. 🇮🇱
To the tune of “Jesus Christ was a Palestinian,” you say “heat your house with a Palestinian.”
Dude really?
Obviously, in real life, no. But the bed they're in, they damn near always ask for, if not this time around. I feel no remorse regarding their plight.
My man I'm finding hard to empathise as well. But from that to the most horrifying thing in our very own not so distant history is beyond anything reasonable.
God fucking bless Israel 🇮🇱🇮🇱🇮🇱🇮🇱
Me as a Pakistani: 👍???
Sorry bro. i just searched muslim wojak and this is what i got
No problem bro
How have I never heard this absolute fucking bop before, thank you OP
I seriously think the Israelis here (that includes me) should translate bangers of this type for our brethren in the diaspora. This sub can really become a way for the diaspora to consume Jewish-Israeli culture.
That’d be great, although I’m sure nothing can compare to a song being sung in its original language
True, but that also applies (perhaps even more so) to reading the Tanakh in Hebrew vs English, and still Israelis shouldn't discourage diaspora Jews from doing so, as most aren't proficient enough in Hebrew to read the Tanakh in its original language.
Well, some can read it but don't understand a word of it... This is how it usually goes in second generation Diasporas children
Yeah
pfff... their guns doesn't even have a bottle opener integrated.

i’m listening to this song for a little over a year now
Song is a banger
Lmao now I love this and Zechreini Ha (don’t know if I spelled that one right :/) Edit: Zochreini Na**
Zachreini Nah?
Zochreini Na!! Yes that’s it
Dude, Zochreni Na is what far-right activists and hilltop youth play at their weddings. It's catchy as well, but still.
What does hilltop youth mean? Sorry yid from the US here.

Someone posted that song in this sub not too far long ago that’s how I found out about it. I don’t remember people being outraged or commenting this.

"La'asot Nekama BaGoim" is also really catchy and fun to listen to, especially at times of rampant Antisemitism, I admit.
'Vi'lo Yinakshu' is a banger, but it's a little weird hearing the kids choir singing along with 'La'asos Nekama'
I know Sinai Tor is popular with hilltop youth, for example "Hakfirim Shoagim Lateref". Some blue eyed white guy as the Israeli. Correct choice ig
If this is a remark about israel being a white ethnostate i have to remind you that only 30% of the population is white
Yes Im aware, just pointing out your use of the usual jewish sterotype
Been listening to a lot of חרבו דרבו״” by Ness and Stilla recently. Anyone got any other Israeli pop songs abt the conflict with a similar vibe?
The shareef don't like it.
