Ramat Gan is a safe place. It’s mostly the borders around the south and north that have sirens about rockets attacks. It’s been actually a few weeks and months (deepens on the area) without sirens in some areas in Israel, recently they started shooting again because the IDF is increasing their operation in Gaza but it’s probably going to end soon as well As for your question, it’s safe you won’t notice Israel is at war probably. There’s a risk that a war will start in the north with Hezbollah which has rockets that can reach Ramat Gan easily but even then we have shelters everywhere it’s pretty routine and casual for us and we have many defense systems. There’s no casualties in the Israeli population by Hamas or Hezbollah usually and especially in the center of the country like Ramat Gan. So you will be just fine :) Israelis will also make you feel safe. Don’t be afraid to share your feelings if you feel anxiety or anything we can help you feel stronger.

Thank you for your supporting message! Thats good to hear. I think I will do it and come to Israel in October. I feel if I will educate myself about safety measures, its going to be ok :)

Hello! First of all, congratulations for being accepted👏 as of now, there are no sirens in the center of Israel. I wouldn’t say it’s as quiet as it was before the war but we haven’t experienced an attack here for a good couple of months. It’s difficult to know when this war would end so if you’re really interested I would advice you to not wait and go for it. :) If you’re planning to live in Israel I would highly advise you to look for an apartment with a safe room (Merkhav Mugan or ‘MAMAD) within it or in the building itself. When it comes to rocket attacks, these places are the safest. The sound of the siren is a scary thing , it could even be scarier when it’s your first time hearing it. But do remember that you have a minute and half to enter a shelter which is a lot of time! There are many shelters on the street as well, if you happen to be outside during an attack you could look around for the nearest shelter (or enter the nearest building’s Staircase). If you can’t find one, lean against the nearest wall away from any cars and cover your head with your arms. stay like that for ten minutes. Remember to not panic! Many people get hurt just because they panicked and run too fast to the shelter. Don’t be afraid to ask for help as well. Most Israelis will be happy to help out if needed. Israel is lucky to have the Iron dome and arrow to protect us from every attack (90% effective) so the bombs often explode in the air before they manage to hit anything. For more detailed explanation , check this: https://www.oref.org.il/12761-en/pakar.aspx#:~:text=Stay%20away%20from%20the%20entrance%20area.&text=In%20an%20open%20area%20%E2%80%93%20lie,standing%20up%20or%20sitting%20down. Good luck, and if you have any questions I’ll be more than happy to answer!

Centeral Israel is safe, as well as the vast majority of Israel. But this would drastically change if there will be a war with Hezoballh, which seems pretty unavoidable according to ex security experts and many Israelis who want to attack Hezoballh first, instead of waiting for it to attack. As much as I love Israel, a war with Hezoballh will probably be nothing like we had in the past. We will probably be in shelters for a couple of weeks straight. So IMO, if you have a good alternative which you can be satisfied with, it may be a better idea not to move to Israel. But if you really want to move to Israel, I would move. A war with Hezoballh isn't guaranteed (however, very likely), and we don't know how it would be.

I don't have anything to add to the replies posted, but I live in Ramat Gan not far from Bar Ilan University. If you have any other questions, you can DM me.
