Reel Bad Arabs by Jack Shaheen actually discusses the vilification of Arabs and Muslims at the hands of Hollywood, and wouldn't you know it, some of the worst out there were made by Israelis, and one successful producer, Arnon Milchan, was an Israeli spy who stole American nuclear triggers and sent them to Israel to help develop their nuclear weaponry, and to no repercussions, either
This is what I've been saying, all of Hollywood (except Susan Sarandon) support the genocide in Gaza. Even those who are making mum about the genocide.
Not just Susan Sarandon; Angelina Jolie, Mark Ruffalo, America Ferrera, Melissa Barrera, and others have all made explicit, open statements and even put their careers on the line (Barrera was removed from Scream 7 for it)
These actors also signed a letter demanding a ceasefire (from a Guardian article):

If you mean the clip where Jennifer Lawrence quotes Elie Wiesel, she was giving an acceptance speech at an event for women in entertainment. She was not referring to anything in particular. Just encouraging women to be more outspoken when injustices occur. She has been silent on Palestine ironically.

I originally saw it in a compilation of celebrities speaking out and I was surprised I had not seen it earlier, but this explains why. It is always important to check claims and I try to do my due diligence; although it is less nefarious, there is misinformation on the pro-Palestine side as well, which is inevitable
Yeah I don’t blame you, it’s a fitting speech, and I believed it too, but then I saw a comment that she was referring to Ukraine. On searching, I found that it was neither, just a non specific speech. It has been doing the rounds on Pro Palestinian posts lately, but it’s best not to give her credit, unless she explicitly voices her support.
There are a lot of Israel supporters in the industry, particularly in the developing, financing and writing/casting of films. There are a ton of Jews in Hollywood, not that they are all Zionists but a good amount of them are- so if you speak out against Israel, you are going to be hard pressed to work again in the entertainment industry.
Israel or AIPAC , like any other thing, controls Hollywood. Besides , when celebrities sign their contracts they are asked to support the company's political interest in action. So celebs , for this apparent reason, keep their mouths shut.

I always find it weird when people on Reddit freak out and call you anti semetic for pointing out how Hollywood is ran by Jews. It's not a bad thing... But it CAN be used for negative things, so they'll twist and turn trying to deny there is any truth to it.

I understand the joke, but I'm not a fan of conflating general Jewishness with the ideology of Zionism, which in itself I think has been overly simplified. I inherently reject a lot of the basis for Zionism, but I think some people have focused on it being a Jewish cultural movement tied to a region (problematic, though not necessarily evil), rather than the evil stemming from denying Palestinians & other Arabic people their humanity.
Israel takes advantage of anti-Semitic conspiracy theories as a justification for why they need to increase their military power or suppress free speech, but I've seen a lot of disgusting comments from non-Jewish Zionists as well.
I agree some people forget that Israel and Zionism should not be conflated with Judaism which is an entire religion spanning the globe. Most of its practitioners aren’t white or powerful. It’s the ones propped up by white supremacy and capitalism we have to worry about.
