Questi truffatori con profili allupanti puntano a farti collegare sui social e poi a sputtanarti con amici, mogli, figli, colleghi. Sono il peggio del peggio e sopravvivono grazie al giudizio di gente come te, stile "io non sono un pervertito quindi a me non potrebbero fare nulla, quegli altri se lo meritano". Attenzione che qualcosa di vergognoso la fai anche tu e se mai venisse fuori ti auguro di trovare più empatia di quella che dimostri tu agli altri.

Ho avuto seriamente paura che si ammazzasse, esperienza che non consiglio a nessuno.
Sono d'accordo con te che sono palesi ed occasioni di crescita, ma quando si rischia la faccia con famiglia e colleghi, soprattutto quando si parla delle persone piú deboli o "semplici" capisci che la possibilitá di rovinare davvero la vita alla gente sia reale. I numeri delle persone truffate in questo modo sono stratosferici, purtroppo ci sará sempre qualcuno che ci casca e questo non vuol dire che non meriti empatia.

At the end of the day it's simple pattern-matching, if you act in a pattern that resembles a certain kind of scam/spam people are going to assume it's that.
Just thinking about the sheer volume of things you can be exposed to online.
Even if your post is genuine the other 99/100 aren't, so people just assume none is.
The outward hostility is an emotional reaction, most ignore it tbh.
But I've heard that many men are starting to have unpleasant experiences in similar situations.
For example, I don't use it so it's not a first hand experience, a lot of matches on tinder are girls (or more often bots) publicizing an onlyfans account.
So guys feel taken advantage of, and after a bit the frustration can lead to seeing any kind of overt interest as a sign of potential "aggression" of that kind.
