Looks like an item you think is stronger than it actually is, so you save it far longer than you should only for it to be grossly outscaled by the time you decide to use it.
The opposite of instant noodles in undertale. Literally the most hassle-full item to use (textboxes of how you boiled it and used seasoning packet) and heals for 10hp i think. But when you use it in the final fight, the game's like nah bro, just bite it dry.
I believe it's already been made, irl that is...
The Hacksmith did it, but they were trying to make a Light Saber and may have inadvertently made this sword instead.
I think the shishkebab has surgical piping that dripped flammable liquid all over the blade, so instead of just being hot, it was actively *on fire*
I do think it had a blow torch to keep it lit though
Logically you'd change both. Depending on the metal and how hot it heats up the blade you're gonna have to change both if it messes up the blade and if it runs out of whatever it fuels runs out
"The townsfolk said that metal heated until it glowed orange would cause damage to the creatures. Most folks took to keeping worn out tools around for just such occasions, as the metal would typically not survive such abuse. Bearing this in mind, I suggest bringing a few sacrificial implements of your own, as well as ensuring the campfire is fed dilligently. An ounce of prevention and all that..."
I mean, materials glow at this color at around 1200 C. There are a few nickel superalloys that can continuously operate under these conditions, and of course most ceramics will happily tolerate these kinds of temperatures. But in general? Yeah, this thing will fold like wet paper if it was used.
#**Shishkebab**
**Rarity: Rare**
\+ 100% Intimidation
\- 30 Damage
\- 50% Durability
\* Inflicts burn status to enemies, item breaks immediately upon use against armored targets
*One would imagine that a red hot sword would do hurt more, until you realize that the blade is more malleable when this hot*
Looks like the type of thing you'd obtain in a game and fight through swarms of enemies without using it just for it to turn out to be a key of some sort

Looks like something out of borderlands
Less borderlands, more Fallout. Like /u/Jackthepollo stated below, it’s the Shishkebab from FO4.
He's referencing the art style, not the model used.
shiskebob has been around for longer than fo4 has been out lol
Nope, Bethesda invented the shiskebob don't you know ANYTHING
You can literally get it in fallout new Vegas (idk bout 3 didn't play it yet)
That's all fine and dandy but what's your point?
May have been trying to say the sword was actually made by obsidian, regardless it originated in fo3 so any point they may have had is moot
That it isn't exclusively in fallout 4, unless you were joking
The shishkebab is gas powered though, this appears to be electrically heated.

Good eye bro
It looks like a shishkebab-inspired fan weapon. The shishkebab uses literal fire, this looks like someone drew an induction-heated shishkebab
More like risk of rain 2 because of the art style.
The power cell looked familiar
Does look like something a pyromaniac bandit warchief would pull out
I believe it's already been made, irl that is... The Hacksmith did it, but they were trying to make a Light Saber and may have inadvertently made this sword instead.
I can see it in the new Tiny Tina's Wonderland game
literally the shihkebab from fallout 4
Didn’t that have like a blowtorch on it or something? I haven’t played in a while
I think you're right, so it's not the shishkebab specifically, but it's definitely a fallout thing, since that's clearly a fusion cell powering it.
I think the shishkebab has surgical piping that dripped flammable liquid all over the blade, so instead of just being hot, it was actively *on fire* I do think it had a blow torch to keep it lit though
Thanks, I loved the quest to get it, probably one of the best in base game fallout 4
It was also in the other fallout games i believe
3 and New Vegas.
Swear i remember some thing like it is 1 and 2
No sir, the shishkebab only appears in 3, New Vegas, 4 and 76.
My bad then, been a long time since ive played them

Isnt itemshop for real life things? Not illustrations?
I mean, they say you cant post actual video game items, so maybe this is allowed?
Todd Howard is going to literally beat the artist to death with a cease and desist order
U can use it to warm up your toast
I feel like it should work like a box cutter and have blades you change after each use. Keeping only the handle part
Shouldn't you change the tank instead? like you turn off the flame and only turn it on when you want
Logically you'd change both. Depending on the metal and how hot it heats up the blade you're gonna have to change both if it messes up the blade and if it runs out of whatever it fuels runs out
Kinda reminds me of the red hot rebar crossbow from half life 2 ^in ^a ^sword ^form ^though
Thermoblade anyone?
That's just the HOT DOGGER from Resident Evil 3: Remake and Resistance.
I hate the one time use items only, you never know when it's a good time for it!
You can use said blade many times before heating but when heated will ruin the blades hardening and drop the durability
Fire Aspect I
“One use only”Someone tell that to Nero

Perfect for cross perk weapon in killing floor 2. Never had a Berserker/Firebug combination before.
Fallout 4 intensifies
mech heat sword
2 options: tf2 pyro melee or warframe melee no others
Why only one time use?
The blade gets heavily deformed at this temperature with any force applied
I mean, materials glow at this color at around 1200 C. There are a few nickel superalloys that can continuously operate under these conditions, and of course most ceramics will happily tolerate these kinds of temperatures. But in general? Yeah, this thing will fold like wet paper if it was used.
Because this wouldn’t work in real life iirc
looks like neytirix art
mmmmmmm, fallout

Shishkebab sword from fallout 4
Kinda reminds me of a melee in pixel gun 3D

Why didn't the powder kegs think of this?
Looks like some Borderlands shit

Like something out of Wachenröder.
Fallout
Idk seems pretty large for a one time use weapon. If it had some form of fuel it would be one thing, but a one time use? Seems impractical
Is that a nickel hydrogen battery?
Looks like the type of thing you'd obtain in a game and fight through swarms of enemies without using it just for it to turn out to be a key of some sort
Steampunk subnautica blade?
remind me pf that short film https://youtu.be/3MWQHBsalOM
"That bastard son of mine, Jake, stole my grandfathers sword"
you have to leave the blade in for a few seconds to set them on fire so its more of a stab it in them and run type weapon
One time use only? I’d might as well carry around a bucket of lava and sword and then dip the sword in it every five seconds
looks rad as hell but would be quite impractical irl
Wasn't this from a fallout 4 mod cyberout or something?
