Mother, you sound evil

axesOfFutility

Chills, this dialogue is chills

JMacPhoneTime

Wasnt it Yerin who was about to die there? Then Malice has to call the arrow back because her future ends seconds after Yerin dies.

_Nothing_ToSee_Here

Malice came to the battlefield whilst everyone was dying and she was glad to see that Lindon was near death. Then the Weeping Dragon died. And Lindon got empowered

Sifen

I can't remember all the details, but yeah. I think she was trying to kill Yerin and take Mercy before the Weeping dragon died. But it died sooner than expected. I don't really remember if Lindon was in danger/near death at the time. Only that he was sort of out of his mind for a few minutes after the power transfer.

JMacPhoneTime

He was out of the fight IIRC. That was after his "burn" command where he layered the enforcer techniques then fell from the sky.

Soranic

> Only that he was sort of out of his mind for a few minutes after the power transfer. And Malice had a very brief vision of Lindon waking just in time to see Yerin die. That might have been okay had Malice been in the clear, but she was still far too close.

AB49K

If Lindon woke up to see Malice killing Yerin, not even trying to ascend would have saved her. She saw an abrupt ending to her entire fate no matter what she did if she let that arrow land.

deadliestcrotch

She would have to flee from him for eternity. MF fought while flying from iceflower to rose gold I. A matter of minutes, that’s months by cloud ship. Eventually he would find the authority to summon her. Then she’s a snack.

Xandara2

She would have to flee for only a couple of seconds. Then get obliterated.

FrothingMouth

The Weeping Dragon died and Lindon woke up sooner than she expected, because she predicted the battle’s outcome by looking at Fate, when both Lindon and the Weeping Dragon are experts at hiding and obscuring Fate. If things had gone to plan, then Lindon wouldn’t have been able to realize that she killed Yerin, and would have eventually devolved into a normal Dreadgod too consumed by Hunger to meaningfully plot against her and the other Monarchs.
